It's a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe It's the LTZ It's got the big 5-3 customer States As he's driving down the road, steering feels loose and uh, probably a good place. It starts right here, buddy. I Think somebody left your wheel bearing bolts loose fella? Yeah! I think it's your problem.
guess that's why there's a torque spec for everything….
Chevy, enough said
Haha sometimes it’s just the smallest things
That’ll be 1000$ ma’am.
😂😂
Every Tahoe has a 5.3. No need to mention that it does
Bluetooth torque setting lol
And NOT tightened the bolts 😂😂😂😂
This is what happens when people watch youtube and figure that anyone can be a mechanic.
That appears why it was brought to the shop.
I hope he let’s customer know and remedies it properly instead of up-charging with 5 added parts and an extra charge for blinker fluid.
Loctite. Never heard of her.
Wow!!
Hi Eric. I have a 2013 Honda crv. You said you had many oil splash shields. Would u know where to look ? Mine fell off
If it wasn’t for Chevrolet mechanics would have nothing to do
Mechanics talk like everyone knows what’s wrong with their car. Just do ye job
These people who work on Vehicles need to stop and Think!! They could kill someone.. Thanks
👍😮
Wheel bearing might be damaged
WOW….😮
should come out well
I had one chevy truck get driven in with 2 of the bolts missing
Just the bolt? A guy charged me a fortune to fix this.
From your experience which vehicle brand rusts the least?
Those bolts are single use. Buy new bolts when you replace the hub
That has to be not so safe for them or other drivers.
Big 5.3? Friend had a burban with the 8.1 SMH
GM wheel bearings have sucked for the last 30 years. Hopefully they redesign them soon.
Coming from NYS anal inspections to Florida with NO state inspection….some things that do 90 down the highway should be looked at.
So fix it and move on
Definitely just started happening too
The boar in the knuckle is toast I would imagine.
SMA ROCKS !
GM owners are cheap, 9 year old Tahoe shockingly only rusted out and only 2 years away from being mechanically totalled because of rust
Hey look a wheel bearing you won’t have to use a slide hammer on 😂
diy back yard mech…………. torque what torque…….lol
Great job my man
Oh yeah! That baby is gonna fall right out.
Good work ain't cheap, cheap work ain't good.
😯😯
Wow!
Geez..
Fella or lady which is it ???
It’s loose , but still within spec 😂
Wow. Ironically have seen loose bolts, or missing, but no play in my situation.
Wow🤦🏻♂️
I'm sure it needs a Pitman arm and an idler arm too.
Common sense to me would to have it aligned after any frontend work, just wheel bearings or not (could have been aligned with loose bearings prior), so how could an alignment shop miss this?
Looks like you won't need a puller. Ha Ha
I'm sure the previous mechanic was just trying to make everyone's day a little easier.
This has Just Rolled In vibes to it.
I would replace the wheel bearing assemblies after finding this.
Is that the only problem. I have a Tahoe 2004 the steering feels like it pulls to right a bit
Wait are you sure that isnt a new feature chevy provided to keep the bolts from Seizing Eric O 😂😂
Holy smokes suprised it isnt in peices
Buddy feiia lady 🤔
Customer came in at 4:45 pm and was waiting for it. Lol
Temu sells glue for $0.003
What a hole did that? At least they picked the great Eric O to fix it!
Im asking the guy giving the air quotes Question is the lady of the car a mechanic? HOW IS SHE SUPPOSE TO KNOW THAT IF SHES NOT A MECHANIC and dont know about car DUH!!!!
The BIG ?????? 5.3 ????????
I see the problem those are Ford bolts they never stay tight
“Verified customer complaint.”
Wow! I have never ever seen the hub bolts loose like that on a GM and I have done a TON of them!
She was sabotaged 😮
Yikes!!
Could be worse, it could be due to total rust out.
Had that before but the car has a thud when accelerating but barely noticeable, lifted up and there it was lol
wouldnt the driver think to consult with the hub bearing installer ? even if it was months ago ?
Big 5.3 LOL. Better go 350 there😎
That's one reason why I always use thread locker on those bolts. I've had one back out before.
I just had to replace one on my 89 Camry… It only has 387k on it.
Fella to lady
Driver has Disphoria or the mechanic hasnt ducked enough under the vehicle on the lift.
Or the truck is the fella and buddy and the driver is the lady?
Hmmm..
If I'm not mistaken them are the ones with a built in speed sensor that are pain to swap. I almost miss ye olden days when people use to be able to rebuild/pack bearings.
That'll be 700$
This is why we torque!
"Just rolled in" shouldn't ever apply to fasteners – only wheels. Loctite rep must be wagging their finger!
A musician would have found a great beat to that knocking sound.
You will never strip your bolts if it is under tightened.
Buddy fella lady 🤔🤠
I would say intermediate steering shaft at first, but damn all 3 of those boles are loose.
Thats crazy..
There's your problem lady
On a BMW that wheel bearing bolt would be hidden underneath the axle (ask me how i know)
The knuckle must have rusted out from underneath them…
I've seen loose hub bolts only once before. Pathfinder came in for a knock noise up front. Found that they had DIY replaced both hubs a few months prior and didn't tighten the left side side bolts, right side wasn't too bad.
Bolts were not obviously loose like these ones were though.
Son of monkey he new a car.
Wow
Would you call that air jacking? 🤷♂️
What do you think, new hub assembly mounting bolts?
It’s got the chubby rubba
They felt a little up “tight” so they learned to loosen up a bit!
Eric O shorts >= Just rolled in
❤
Naa it's fine, if it fails just blame the cat.
It won't argue.
Another fine quality mechanics work 😮😮
they forgot their orange loctite…or worse…
you didn't know that's how u make the job easier for the next guy to replace it if you live in the rust belt lmfao
Goodness lol 😂
That's what I love about being a mechanic… even after 30 years fixing vehicles professionally, there's always something new I've never seen before. I can honestly say I've never seen a vehicle with loose wheel bearing bolts.
are you sure that they didn’t strip the threads?
Yup, That'll do it
"Torqued to spec."
