It's been a while since I showed the daily shenanigans that go on at the shop during the day to day operations. Now obviously I can not show the phone calls, parts ordering, estimate writing, customer interactions and potty breaks but I can show a few of the repairs that Josh and myself make throughout the day. So with all that being said I decided to make YOU, the PEOPLE, another day in the shop video on a "normal" (not crazy) day at the shop. -Enjoy!

    Hi Eric

Really enjoy your videos. Theyโ€™re informative and entertaining.
I live in Ontario, Canada and deal with snow, salt and rust.
Just a question about what swivels do you use on your air tools?

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Well says:

Sorry if I missed it, but if you ever have a down moment, could you do a brief, history of your past and how you got to own your own shop etc…if no time that is ok too.

I love your style and simple reasoning. Such a lost action? Not diving into big problems but seeking out the easy solutions is a much better and cheaper approach. Excellent working skills!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜Ž

My favorite part of your day: The old lady asking for an SMA shirt for her Doctor! He probably got one sent to his office, since she definitely knows his name and that address!

Mouse milk I wonder if it's the same as when the mafia on the Simpsons where replacing the school milk with the rats milk by using the rat milking machine in the school kitchen

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Johnson says:

Good team there Eric, also itโ€™s a tough job keeping track of allll the things going on in the shop. Any mixup throughout the day can really make it difficult being a shop owner. Most days are really good tho.

Hey, we noticed your ancient-assed tires are falling to bits, so before they blow out and send someone into a tree at 60mph, we must insist on new ones – Customer: I'm not happy with you!

    Facepalm.

Ahhh the A/C cart… When I got my EPA license, I was in the Army, I needed the Licsense, because my beast I was a mechanic for The AH-64D Apache helicopter. 2 compressors for 6 evaporator, and RFDs the size of fire extinguishers… I hate that cart lmao

Wow, you really put the hours in and get those Cars through. Really love seeing the day to day along with the specialist repairs. Man you really work for your money and also getting the videos out for us. I'm new here but I'm really enjoying watching you diagnose and fix all these Cars. I suppose one question from me is…… have you ever been out foxed by a Car and been unable to fix something? I doubt it very much but thought I would ask. Thanks again. Chris, new Sub, England UK.

Hey eric, I need to start working on my own cars, it's getting pretty expensive for the shops, one problem im having & need to learn how to replace a purge valve on 2014 gmc terrain my cheap & inexpensive scan tools comes in handy at times reads a P0442 all the time, not a P0455 pops up sometimes, I just clear them out because im tired of looking at that glow of orange in my face while driving.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Johnny Sechrist says:

My brief time working at a dealership I had the alignment rack…..worst machine ever, a GM with the strings….in the summer when the wind blowed the strings and that was nerve racking..to hot to shut the door. This dealership sponsored my late model…but I still quit and loaded up. Owner and mistress were coke heads.

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scott Hickmon says:

cleaning up contacts coated with green goop or white powder I use a acid flux with a brass brush not to coerce sometimes with power tools or by hand well being careful not to damage the contact surface or open the contact surface sometimes this requires a small torch tip cleaning file set VIP clean but do not enlarge the contact surface of the connectors next I use baking soda and water mixture with a bristle type brush to neutralize the acid flux using a pencil eraser I polish the surface the rest away to save time and get in tight places I use my drill to spin the pencil you can also use an electric eraser or a handheld block erasers this also works real good on flashlight to our electronic devices that had batteries leak in them if you take time and thoroughly complete each of these steps the corrosion won't come back for a long time trust that if ever I hope this helps somebody out there fair warning I came up with this technique without reading it in a book or having any professional input it's worked well with me and I'm happy with it

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Esteb says:

That first job with the ac problem reminded me of the time I thought the blower motor was dying in my car, and then I realized it was a clogged cabin filter. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Cruz says:

I really enjoyed this video. Decent, hard-working Americans.
I liked watching the processes, but my skills are based on old-fashioned non-computerized cars, from carbs to Dana rear ends. I have a manual for my 2002 Ram 1500 and a code reader, that's the newest I have ever done. I can rebuild and tune a '71 Roadrunner (or any Mopar) and fix anything on an F/A-18 fighter jet blindfolded, though!

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Roger Thomas says:

I like your videos donโ€™t worry I subscribed and liked your video and I like your Dog

Late to the party I know, but I've used interdental brushes to clean these terminals on fuse boxes.

And the UK accent was really a good impression of an Aussie. Try harder.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pat Armitage says:

Gotta be careful when doing inspections. Here in Canada the ministry sends "mystery customers" with hidden problems to try and catch shops that let things pass.

Fun ti see you work with your son ๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿ

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stevan Rose says:

The new customer should be grateful to replace the front tires. One time I was hauling material with a Freightliner dump truck and was waiting in line for my turn to dump and was taking to one of the other drivers when he looked down at my front wheel and saw a crank in it and he said why donโ€™t you go get that changed/ fixed while you are still ALIVE.
Thanks for people with sharp eyes ๐Ÿ‘€.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Vangorden says:

You should have an estimated time available for next service. Or vacancy or no vacancy sign one of the 2 things that would be pretty interesting this way you're not losing your Mind… At the moment you'd just start doing good work floodgates open and you're overwhelmed Time to Control the heard….

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Atra Hasis says:

A memory from childhood nearly forgotten; head buried deep in a downy pillow. The farm was shrouded in near perfect silence save that one distant, nearly imperceptible, maddening sound. Like fingernails across a chalkboard it burned itself indelibly into his psyche; the sound of mice a milking.
