Customer States: Engine barely runs and has a severe lack of power. It also has the occasional no start or long cranking before it starts. So far I've found vacuum leaks, clogged ports, antifreeze leaks from the water pump and the electric fan is damaged. I had the fuel pump, filter, spark plugs, ignition wires, and a distributor cap and rotor. It also has a new coolant temp sensor, O2 sensor, MAP, intake temp, IAC and throttle position sensor replaced. The ECM / PCM has been replaced too. See part one.

Check this thing out! I Uh I Got this today. Yes, it's a shiny tool kit. Yes! I have a bunch of these. Uh, the real reason is all the stuff that I'm doing on Project G standard size tools and sockets.

particularly that differential pin that I had to remove last night which had me kind of nervous and I ended up using a tool that wasn't designed for it I Went on the tool truck today and they had some 12 point see that very fine 12 point sockets. They had one set of 12 point sockets and and this was it right here now. I was able to justify this to myself because I do need a mobile set of tools and just get that out of here and what I'm going to do is keep this thing with me in the truck. So this is pretty much all the basic stuff and again, I got the 12 points that I needed I have almost no 12 point sockets and I have nothing in 12 point.

that is quarter inch drive. So this was like the unicorn of socket sets right here. So I got this to go in the truck. oh it's got wrenches too.

this goes in the truck also. 12 point Zooms? Yeah, see that the reason I purchased these? Uh, they were like 400 something dollars which is crazy but uh, you know tools make money. They don't cost money. That's just kind of how I see it bro, get that back in there.

um I also messed up and I well I didn't mess up but I set the bar kind of low on the project Jeep differential thing if you caught the video from earlier today which I shot uh in the evening last night we pulled this differential out right here because I heard some noise inside of it and I found some grenaded see that absolutely destroyed spider gears inside of that differential. So I made a deal with you guys if that video got 12 000 likes I was going to go ahead and just uh, buy this set of gears and rebuild, rebuild this carrier or buy a new buy a new differential carrier because I think that one's got a lot of wear at the pin bar. Anyway, before I start rambling, you guys met the light quota already there was I should have asked for like 30 000 because I got 22 000. So we're definitely gonna get this thing fixed and it's not going to cost the customer anything because he's already spent loads of money on some other stuff I haven't even pulled the trans out yet, but we have to put a clutch in this thing.

Also show because of the help that you guys are rendering me I Have taken it upon myself to finance the rebuild on this rear axle. It's going to include some some side bearings I pulled those out last night I Found a bunch of metal in here so all the bearings have been swimming in metal therefore those are going to have to be replaced. So project Jeep Now rage is on and that moves us over into the part Two of my offer where I said if that video got a thousand subscribers I would uh instead of just repairing that differential with a stock unit I was going to install like a Yukon Locker or a limited slip, something aftermarket and a performance upgrade to the uh, the open differentials that this thing has I said that at a thousand said something I think 5000 was going to get lockers up front but I don't think we're going to get 5000 on that video. A thousand is definitely and we're talking subscribers here.
A thousand subscribers is definitely within the reach because so far I think 560 of you have joined the channel in order to see that. Yukon Locker go in and I really appreciate that. That's really cool. I've I've never kind of pulled the audience to uh to participate in a repair like that before, but I'm enjoying how this is working out.

Actually look at that. At the time of this recording, we're at 762 subscribers on that video so we have almost reached the threshold where I'm going to instead of repairing that put in like a Yukon or um I mean I'll shop around for. you know what I think is going to work out best but um, once we reach that thousand Subs on that video Mark I'm gonna go ahead and rebuild this with an upgraded unit which I think is an excellent complement to the project. Jeep 1995 Wrangler Restoration Series So preemptively thank all you guys for participating uh in this activity with me.

I'm enjoying that you guys are helping out and you're involved in uh in this Jeep project. Oh by the way, if um, you did not happen to catch that video, I will leave a link to it down in this video's description and one at the very end of this video in like the center box and I'll also stick a tag right up here right now and uh, those links will take you to that particular video where I pulled that differential apart and then uh and made the subscriber slash like button offer. So if you have not seen that or have not uh, familiarized yourself with project Jeep Uh, just go ahead and click that link and uh and check it out and see what you think, Let me know anyway. I'm gonna close this video out.

Thanks for watching this short one. Appreciate you guys being here and as always, don't forget to have yourselves a great day! See you guys later! Oh man, one more thing I forgot Aaron A-Rod with power stroke Tech Talk is coming down to Florida this weekend I've completely forgot to mention that earlier. Hang on, Let me show you why Standby: Where is it? Where? Aha There they are there they are. Check this out.

I have A Banks Pedal Monster. Check that thing out right there. Thanks Pedal Monster And A banks I Dash 1.8 Uh, this is a gauge system and this is a throttle controller to remove the factory. Uh, delayed.

Expo What? I'm gonna call it delayed exponential response of the throttle. So um, maybe I should draw it. Hang on. Okay, let me see if I can.

Uh, if I can articulate this properly is going to be crude. Thanks. Can't write Pedal Monster. Okay, we got our Banks Pedal Monster right here.

Now over here we've got. this is very crude. We've got our throttle and I'm aware diesels don't have the throttle, but just for the sake of this we're gonna. that's gonna be our throttle.
and then over here we'll have our pedal. See, we got a pedal and a little rotating thing. It's yeah. I'm not an artist so we have a pedal.

Got our Banks module. We've got our throttle now. Normally on your vehicle, you've got your ECM Okay, so your pedal sends-ish sends information to your ECM and your ECM commands your throttle. Okay, what this thing does is it connects right here and right here.

So when you send information to your ECM, the Banks module will intercept it, alter the signal, then send it back to the ECM and then control the throne. And what that effectively does is let me think of how to do this all right. So we've got zero throttle right here. We're gonna make a graph.

We have zero percent, 100 percent and that's your throttle pedal and then over here can be your actual throttle for your plate. So normally when you apply throttle, the graph is going to look like that. so you can apply 50 throttle on your pedal, but you're only going to get Maybe 33 percent at the actual throttle on the vehicle. What the Banks module does is it creates a linear throttle curve.

So when you apply 50 throttle, you're getting 50 throttle. When you apply 20 throttle, you're actually getting 20 throttle. So it eliminates this curve that is designed into the ECM and it just gives you a faster throttle response. I hope and well, it makes it feel more controllable and I understand.

Uh, it's customizable with the eye. Dash So you can turn up or down this curve to your comfort level or for towing or for racing or who knows what you want to do that for. But you can customize how the throttle feels to you with the Bank's Pedal Monster and I believe that's what this thing is for. So circling back Power Stroke Tech Talk A-Rod is coming down to Florida this weekend and we're going to install this on Madura maps and this I think and the reason he's going to do that is he has A Bank's Pedal Monster.

He is familiar with them and he knows how they operate and he is a far more knowledgeable on such things than I Am. And since he and I are friends, we're going to do this together. You know what? I'm I'm tempted too I Wasn't going to open these until later. but since you guys are here and I know you want to know I'm gonna open these right now.

we're gonna check them out. Uh no, this is not an unboxing video, this is just. uh. me sharing these devices with you.

Come here for the instructions. Yeah, we're gonna need those wire ties emblems. That's cool. We've got our connections, our harness, and this is the module.

So we wired this guy into it. looks like the existing throttle connectors. So we're going to do this down on the floorboard. We're going to open up the throttle connection plug these guys in.

this module is going to intercept my throttle inputs from the pedal using this cable I Believe it will connect to the eye Dash which is a gauge system and a Data Logger Really cool stuff you should check out Banks Power Check out Banks Power on YouTube They've got videos on such things. Open I Dash Instructions again. We've got a harness and this is going to connect to the OBD2 port on the truck. That way this gauge unit can see all of the data parameters and I can interact with them I can log them I can save them that goes back there and I can also control the functions of the pedal monster with this gauge component right here I Think that's going to be really, really cool.
So yeah. Unboxing complete. That's what we're doing this weekend. If you are not familiar with Aaron go ahead and check out Power Stroke Tech Talk with A-Rod I Will also leave a link to his channel down in this video's description that's gonna be below the project.

Jeep Links Okay, I'm really going to go this time. Thanks again for watching! See you guys in the next one end of transmission.

  70. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Boyd R says:

Jeep guy should have just bought a Civic with that money.

  71. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Hennesey says:

That was totally an unboxing. Just kind of a dumbed down unboxing. I think they call that telegraphing the future video. Cant wait to see the install of it. I'm thinking of doing a supercharger on a 2020 Chevy with a 5.3ltr. Show some stuff like that Ray. Okay, powering down in 3…..2…..1…..

  72. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kevin says:

They say 'guilt free' on em!

  73. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Roland Silva says:

Project Jeep is real cool. Being a Jeep guy myself, for the cost of a Yukon locker or limited ship, perhaps upgrade to a D44 on the rear. Two things happen here: the D44 will be way, way stronger than that D35 in there now and it will have more than likely limited slip … and D44 will have rear discs set up on it so thats good too. Search around, a good used D44 is easy to come by… Just saying… With all those beautiful things you are doing to the Jeep the owner will probably want to go to bigger wheels and tires and that D35 will be way too weak for that load…

  74. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrBowNaxe says:

Really glad to see all the support your fans (myself included) did to help reach the "Like Clicks" and "New Subs" goal for project Jeep. Can't wait to see what's next.

PedalMonster sounds like something you would use with your guitar setup

  76. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The_Phil says:

Great videos Ray! I’m really interested to see your thoughts on the Pedal Monster long term. Obviously most people like it after initial install but I have seen some people say after you get used to the throttle response with the Pedal Monster installed you can still feel the lag in the pedal. These other people arent as experienced as you so I’m interested to see your thoughts maybe 2-3 months after the install. Almost all of these other reviews I have seen didn’t have the i-Dash installed as well. Looking forward to the install video and all the other upcoming ones as well!

When I first went to work as an auto tech all I bought were 6 point sockets. 12 points always rounded off tight bolts and nuts. Now the automotive industry is using 12 point fasteners such as axle nuts and drive shaft retaining bolts. At our trash/recycling station there is an area where you can drop off useful items and people are free to rummage through the stuff. I scored a set of 3/8 metric shallow 12 point sockets on a rail along with an Imperial tube flaring bar and Imp tubing cutter. 12 point sockets are hard to find if you don't have access to the tool trucks.

Ray, greetings from Sweden! I found you maybe 6 months ago and I absolutely love every minute of your videos. I have suggestions so I really hope you get to see this.

To grow your channel, I think finding other youtubers to collaborate with could work wonders for you. Try to find someone who's profession or youtube channel has nothing to do with cars, have them come over and try to be a mechanic for a day. And go to their channel and try to do whatever they do. This way you will not steal each others viewers (if you had collaborated with another mechanic and one of you is just better or more funny or whatever).

Another suggestion would be to do more of in depth tutorials where you explain and teach things in details. You have a very nice voice and pleasant and funny mannerisms. I think the revenue from youtube can be much more valuable than the repair shop. I really love how your recent videos from your new shop is much longer and more in depth, and you should keep pushing this even more. Use your shop to grow the channel is what I am saying, not the other way around 🙂 (but maybe that is already what you are trying to do)

Lastly, I am eagerly waiting for your next live stream announcement. That was funny as hell!
