The Astro 4980 (AKA "Big Nasty") has been one of the best and most powerful air hammers I have ever owned. So far nothing has stood in it's way until today. Replacing the pads, rotors and rear wheel bearing on this 2014 Ford Taurus gave it a run for its money! -Enjoy!

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ken says:

Was that a left handed thread metric crescent wrench or right handed crescent wrench?

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Metal Butcher says:

Eric, what swivels do you use on your air tools?

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jeffery Bye says:

You might have to call that puller big nasty or big nasty #2

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jeffery Bye says:

It pays to have the proper tools for the jobs..

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jeffery Bye says:

Damn, i saw that coming..your the man..

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jeffery Bye says:

R.I.P big nasty..she was awesome in her prime..

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jeffery Bye says:

Oh no say it aint so..big nasty defeated..😱

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jonathanhart54 says:

It always interesting to see the little things that other techs do differently. I always hammer that back of the hub flange to get bearings off. Not fun lol

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matt Smith says:

Might be a dumb question but why not just wack the bearing on the edges with a big regular hammer that’s what I did on a Subaru same style and they came out

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gregorio razgado says:

Bring on the brake jobs 🥰

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scott Miner says:

A bastard file falls between a coarse file and a fine file; it provides a finer, more-polished edge than a coarse file, but removes more material and hones an edge more quickly than a fine file.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars trangia94534 says:

Please get rid of the stupid background music / noise.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars claymore cluepile says:

DISAPPOINTMENT! …. i watch most of your vids and i keep expecting to see Richie Cunningham and Pottsie come running across the street wanting to talk to your helper Fonzie… i dunno why you play that headbreaker music when you should be playing tunes from American Graffitti in the background when you go driving around town….

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dano C. says:

Don't know how many times I've watched this but it never gets old… Epic!

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars whatfreedom7 says:

Yes please do make sure your lugnuts are tight. I was riding with a friend who had worked on his own 4 -runner when the thing suddenly dropped and the rear wheel literally passed us and jumped over the concrete barrier wall and into the lake. I was just think wtf why did a wheel just pass us?! Then we all got out and we were looking like damn that was your wheel!

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars chili5555 says:

The People will always come back for a brake job where parts go flying across the room!

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Johnny Sechrist says:

Makes me glad I don't live in the rust belt.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kent Porter says:

FYI. I bet $100.00 if you’d placed a jack stand under the wheel housing, Big Nasty could have broken it loose…! 👍. Reason being, it was bouncing , albeit, slightly……. Get it on a SOLID SOLID SURFACE, or as solid as possible, under the circumstances. Works surprisingly Great 👍

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Greg Hill says:

wow another new tool i have to buy that file looks great i could have used that on last brake job my wife is going to stop me from watching your videos with all these tools i buy afterwards lol

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Norm Pettett says:

    Whoa, creacent wrench?

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joseph Freeman says:

Wouldnt heat from bearing heat up fluid in caliper, causing pressure to increase? That can cause the brake drag right?

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert J says:

I'm counting my blessings for having unsalted roads here in Orlando.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jon Horth says:

I Use a hammer bit and a 3050b snap on. hammer it both ways and if it's real bad you get your bud with a 2nd air hammer in the shop and it's coming out. Works every time. You should see the shit we get in upstate new York. Horrible

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars SilenceDogood says:

Could've strapped ol bezos to that hub and got him into orbit 2 years sooner…

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Bowen says:

Ah' it alright. You two got past it.Your brains B.N. Bronze

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MeMakeSparks says:

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tom Bynum says:

that was epic i need that hub grappler knock off, already have big nasty and she is a bad bitch but sometimes she needs a besty

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ozzy Krahn says:

    eric the people pleaser

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Louis Sabo says:

I have replaced the Bearing bolts with longer ones and beat on them with a sledge hammer. However, there are some bearings particularly the rear ones that I couldn't get a good swing at the bolt.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TJ Slick says:

Eric, If you clamp that backing plate to a piece of aluminum you'll find welding it will be a lot easier.
I worked for an old timer in the late 80's and he swore by bag balm to stop corrosion on bearing housings and axle splines! Bag balm is full of lanolin.

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jon Miner says:

Hi, Eric. I've gotta get one of the metric crescent wrenches.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars len walas says:

No everybody is saying that you need some pneumatic tools and chances are the brake hose is imploded and won't relieve the brake pressure properly

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars len walas says:

"Metric" crescent wrench! Lmao, that's good

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars len walas says:

You should probably buy some gear wrenches or just get a Hercules cordless ratchet

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charlie Lambert says:

Front hoses on escape's collapse often

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gene San Miguel says:

Dude! That was epic!! Love the videos. Keep em coming. Hi ‘Mrs O.

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bpetnoi says:

Oh yes spray paint that dust shield repair black just encase the owner crawls under the vehicle and looks around. I would suggest the paint might help with future rust, but considering where you work sort of like shoveling sand against the tide or might I say salt against the tide.

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Petrassi says:

    Neverseize the new hub

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Petrassi says:
