What size is that? Ford 5.58 Yeah, that's number one. Yeah, that's number one. Let's uh I bet it is not gonna use the other eight millimeter I Like this eight millimeter, it's the closest one that I found the last time there was water down inside there. Yeah Oh yeah.

Oh I Just saw it fire through the side. Yep, now you have. There's liquid in there? Yeah, no, why is there water going in there? and hang on. We need, uh I need lights? Uh wow.

that's that's not supposed to be there. man. What is it? Yeah, hmm. spark plugs do not work while submerged.

Insane. Watch out folks. he's a fairly dangerous man. Foreign.

don't do that bro. So let's see if it stops. It's soap. Yeah, did you really taste it? Yeah, it's hardcore.

Hey look, it runs again. I Learned that from Derek Yeah I have some clear adhesive sealant. Now that's not it. We're not gonna confuse the ceiling with the Dielectric grease thread lock in it I will I will put thread lock in it.

You don't think I will. but I will let me watch that. just just fill that right on up. Perfect.

I mean yeah, we need to fix that later. This will work for now. but see if you can't find the boot change all the clothes wake up. This one's the one that is bad there.

We're good. and I just wiggle. It's um you wiggle it and then it works. They're probably you want to do all of them real quick.

Pull it out. wait wait stop it and no water in there here. We'll Loop this one too while it's out hot. Three: that's not a good sign.

Is that the right one? Yeah, yeah. Clear silicone helps for the the spark. You know it's gonna help plug you back in. Look at that.

Okay, cool, Good enough for now. Why is there soap though in your spark plug hole? I'm thinking that because when they power washed it, it probably took the injectors out or the floor packs out. I I have a different Theory this uh spark plug Galley right here was holding water and they left soapy water in it and then some of it drained down inside. Yeah, because they don't really seal that well.

Yeah, is that the downwards Yeah. see I'm the only person that can spray engines with garden hoses and have that not happen. Thanks man, you're welcome. Problem solved.

You're gonna make it Scandal Powering down. We're out of here. Thanks for watching this short video. See you guys later.

That is NOT where the blinker fluid goes!

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars XLAND101 says:

Yeah, keep it running while screwing around with the Coils…. Keep on purposely sending more unburned Fuel to the Catalytic Converter..

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kellry2 says:

Dielectric grease shouldn't be used on the metal to metal contacts…it should only go on the rubber boot to ceramic part of the spark plug to waterproof it and prevent arcing. I learned this the hard way. You prevent electricity conducting properly when you put in on electrical connections directly.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars dementedpaintballer says:

Ray. Tampons, keep them in your box. Especially for them fords with the plastic intakes that love to leak coolant into the spark plug wells. You know them 4.6's.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Erin Tyres says:

I once paid $2100.00 for repairs at a Volkswagen dealer. I left the shop much closer to broke than when I came in.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Blaisdell says:

I've got a 2011 Transit connect that would probably be a week's worth of videos for you. It's been to numerous mechanics and Ford. Ford had it for 2 months…finally said that the valve seats are worn causing the cylinders to lose compression when warmed up due to cam to bucket clearances expanding as they warm up. Compression is 115 on 2 cylinders, 155 on other 2….and how could the seats be so evenly worn to keep compression? Ever heard of such a thing? It's been chased with a lot of parts!

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Adrian Jones says:

Hi Ray had the same problem with my daughters GB spec 2006 Ford focus. Turned out after much searching the windscreen washer pipe had a small split, so when the washer was used, as
well as coming out of the washer jets, it was forcing its way through the split and draining into the spark plug valley. A.J

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars thomas m. tordel jr. says:

we all know that sillycone allows the spark to travel unimpeded..

Nice quick fix! Fords. It always seems to be electrical.
I've owned a few Fords. I've driven more than a few.
One day, I was coming out of a convenience store in Kansas, and there's this young lady with a baby crying because her Ford wouldn't start.
It was old… It had the starter solenoid bolted to the fire wall…
    Remember those?
Well, I was driving a 1979 Mercury Bobcat at the time.
I learned the hard way to ALWAYS carry a spare solenoid.
Since, back then the things only cost about $4.00, I took the 5 minutes, and changed her solenoid, after I did the old screw driver test on her old one.
I just popped into the local NAPA and picked up another solenoid the next day.
Cars were simpler back then. AND CHEAPER!!!!!!!

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! Terry Harvey says:

I have run into that several times. To help, I coat the underside of the coils top sealing surface with silly cone lube. Seems to work and if not it does make me feel better. You know, like I've done somethimg.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Donald Halls says:

That is a problem with detailers they use the pressure washer and aim it into connectors, some even use it to wash out the inside of the car, I had to change the computer in a couple that were under the set, it was flooded, one Tim a mechanic told a customer that his head was gone, found out it was just water in the spark plugs like that one, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Guy Griesmann says:

What is the downside if you do not use dielectric grade?

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars G Crauwels says:

My 2000 Ford E250 5.4L 2V did this at 38K miles, only it turned out to be coolant from somewhere on the intake manifold. Of course Ford made me pay for it since it was out of warranty. Besides the sensor in the diff for ABS, were the only things that went wrong with it. Had 135K on it when I sold it.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Flies2FLL says:

……Meanwhile, that injector is still squirting. And the fuel is being burned in the catalytic converter, which is getting hotter and hotter~

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bee4PC goldrule. says:

Splash guard probably missing under engine.Water kills coils.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JoeVK says:

I mean, spraying an engine with a garden hose isn't an issue. It's when there's a pressure washer between the engine and the garden hose that the problems start.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars stage3muppet says:

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Marc Abbaticchio says:

Would it be weird to move from NY to Florida just to have Ray as my mechanic?

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DVNelson says:

Careful doing favors Ray. Customer service is one thing…but people will take advantage of it and the next time you try and charge them…now you're just a rip off artist.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 00fordxlt says:

I checked the plugs on mine and #4 was full of oil at 90k miles so it got new plugs, spark plug seals, and valve cover gasket. They’re pretty easy to work on but they definitely need maintenance.

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Cuss says:

Similar happened on my 1998 Frontier when I washed off the engine (has distributor and spark plug wires), the seal on the wire for #1 did not seal to the valve cover (even though it looked like it did) and water got into #1 spark plug well, causing misfire and Check Engine Light. The CEL actually identified #1 as the issue; I also had to borrow a compressor and use compressed air to clean the water out of the deep-recessed spark plug well.
