enjoyed your video. i have a 2010 JGC Lmtd 5.7L that i just put wheels from a 2020 or 2021 Wrangler with sensor already in them. Can that scanner you have read the new sensors and program them into a 2010 JGC Lmtd? I took it to Costco and they didn't seem to have a scanner that could do it. I was thinking of buying the one you presented in the video but would like to know if you think it would work? Thx, Greg.

What brand of replacement TPMS sensors have you had the best results from on Jeeps (Chrysler/Dodge & Rams)?
I have 2012 Jeep Liberty Sport and have at least one bad sensor as my light is staying on with all tire pressures to spec.
Given the age of my vehicle, I plan on replacing all of the TPMS sensors before putting new tires on.
I was surprised when looking at a couple of the parts store's websites in that they had about 15 to 20 sensor listings all claiming to be a "Perfect Fit" for my vehicle. How could there be so many?
Thanks for your very informative video.

What’s the model number of tpms tool you used ? Thank you

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars S. Spees says:

Jeep Liberty Limited 4×4 has 4 independent sensors that tell you which wheel has what pressure. Not common for for most cars.

TPMS should only be on luxury vehicles, or only an option. It's only purpose is to cost people money and make money for tire shops, dealerships, and mechanics. Wal Mart will refuse to service your tires if it is broken, and a few tire shops will refuse to replace your tires if you do not pay to fix it. The 1 time I did was $80 for 1 tire. Firestone refused service if I did not and I had already been there a hour.
tire discounters broke my valve stem and tried to charge me to fix the sensor.

Not useful at all. I needed to find out where the TPMS reset button was & they did not show it. There also did not say how much it would cost to fix the problem. In that case it was a faulty system & shops charge a minimum fee of $50 to $100 just to look at it. Who knows how much they will charge you to just reset it?

i just had two of my sensors replaced and they all tested good but the light is still flashing? what could be the problem?

I have taken my car to discount tire they checked and told me that the tires were fine, but the light is till on ?
    Can you help me ?

By chance do you know what sensor MHz Jeep uses, 315Mhz or 433Mhz ???  It's on a 2017.

this video could have been 1/5th the length lol. thank you for the information.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Toby Horath says:

Had mine at the shop and they tested all four and they were all good, but they were unable to reset it. Just wondering if you would have any thoughts on what it could be.

I am told my TPMS Module is bad on my 2012 Town and Country. Dealer wants over $600 to replace. I can buy it online for less that $100! Do you know the location of said module? It must be outside the vehicle somewhere because they said there was corrosion involved.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jamie Prevo says:

    How much does this cost?

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gene O says:

Those sensors are nothing but a money grab! We survived all those years without them! All you need to do is quit being so lazy and get off your smart phone for 2 mins and check your tire pressures and do routine maintenance!

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars countryside says:

If you get a replacement sensor at the same frequency, wouldn't the system automatically find the new sensor? It knows when you rotate the tires without reprogramming them.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike Chiodetti says:

Great Video! They are a unique system!

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Longis Cadenotas says:

Soon We will have fly or bee sensors that will need to be reset with a gadget.
Every time a bee or fly hits our windshield.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Forbes Hutton says:

One thing to note with Chrysler/Jeep/etc. The frequency used in the TPSM system changed in the late 2011 models. Pre and post change equipment will not operate with each other. So if you are buying used rims you will need to know which year they came off of. Same if you are ordering a new sensor(s) make sure you are getting the right one(s) or you'll end up causing yourself fits.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Duncan Mac says:

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TxMa'am says:

I just had brand new tires put on and the darned light came on. I bought the sensor and took it back to the tire place to put it on. Light is still on and it's driving me crazy. According to the mechanic, the computer is reading that there is a new sensor but no one can figure out how to program it. Any suggestions? I've been quoted another $130 for another tire shop to use their sensor to fix this problem : /

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars tisoy909 says:

I have an 06 Commander and its showing one wheel as too low pressure but physically checking pressure shows all tires up to spec. Would you recommend just changing that one tpms or all four considering the age of the vehcle now?

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jan king says:

Just bought a 2002 grand Cherokee. Someone removed tpms sensors from wheels. How can I lose annoying message on in car?

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Jack of All Trades says:

what is the sensor in the same jeep but it's under the fender cover attached to the wheel well?

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Citizen762 says:

A $1500 gadget made to do such a simple thing. If chrysler or any manufacturer sells a vehicle with tpms and owners are expected to replace them when we buy new tires or do a relearn every time we do a rotation, then such a gadget should be included with the price of the car – just like a jack or lug wrench. These are just like rf keyless remote fobs programming – another scam by car companies do to keep cash flowing into their dealership service departments. Shame on them.

…btw, I can hardly blame a repair place for charging $20-$30 or more for the 1 minute service of relearning the tpms valves when they have to pay so much for the device to do it. The damn system should not be so complicated in the first place that it takes a special computer device to do this. Its asinine!

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Silky Tp says:

It's things like this that make me never want to use TPMS. More trouble than it's worth, especially when there's nothing wrong with the tire. Oh, hope you enjoyed that cookie!

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Up2NoGood says:

Never over look the spare tire. I seen them go bad and people can't figure out why the light is on.

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Upallnight says:

I run two sets of tires on my G35.  Summer performance tires and winter snow tires.  Change tires after each season is over, but I never had to program the winter set when I brought them.  Just slapped the winter set on and didn't get any tire pressure warning light.  Only time the light is on is when I start the engine and if One of the tire is low on air.
