It has a code P0700 stored in the PCM. It also has a code P0773 Shift Solenoid E Circuit Fault stored in the transmission control module. Let's see what's wrong!!

Sometimes we overthink shit and make the mistake of not having a set way of doing diag. We are often putting the cart in front of the horse. Appreciate the channel (surprised communist State of New York allows transmission on YouTube 🤣)
is there a special way to remove that connector? I'm not seeing a retainer clip but didn't just want to pry it off. so can you share steps to remove the connector so it doesn't get damaged
The R and G stand for Red and Grey on the TCM if you pull the other connector out the cap on it would be grey instead of red. If you push in on either side of the red cap piece there’s tabs that release it. Pull it off gently and carefully and you’ll see the metal pins those are common to come loose a little bit due to vibrations. Just make sure they are all seated properly and put the cap back on and plug it back in.

Recently just picked up a 05 GMC Sierra 2500 6.6l lly I got on the gas hard and it threw the mil code p0700 only code that came up on a cheap scan tool I got it off and haven’t had an issue since but unless hard on throttle! Trying to go the cheapest way first what to lookninto

Check the pins at the tcm connector. Notorious for coming loose because the dumbass that decided to put it in there with the wires at a 90degree angle
It was probably that dielectric past preventing connection! LPS Preferred connector lubricant
Great video; had to be pin to pin; looking for evidence; that drive shaft is heavy rusted; lots of salt road driving; I'm thinking salt crusty in the connector; dope connector with heavy coat of di-electric grease; seal it the best you can. Great job there.
When checking those pins for ohms what do you have the black lead on I can’t tell? I know you don’t answer viewers questions but can somebody please help this would help this want to be tech tremendously.
To make sure of pin-fittment I would twist each pin slightly so with dielectric grease he wouldn't come back this year. I feel this will be a comeback but with the Communists in your govvymint piling salt on your lives the truck may rot away before it does
How do I get the plug undone for harness i don't want to break it
I said previously that my problem was just when cold, but this past week we were feeling blah and never drove the truck fo 8 days, went to drive Nothing money light on code PO700 hooked up scanner problem solved, I have pulled our 36' fifth wheel all over never had A problem, guess its only when truck sits for several days, in garage, I think I will take connection apart clean well with electric clean Add some of that high price Stab-lent 22 and see what happens,, yes I cleared code. Will keep you updated if I have problems, Thanks Eric you have been A big help.

My Impala have shift solenoid po753 code . Wonder if that's the fix for it. Mechanic dropped my sub frame. Think he may have broke wire
The butt connectors with solder inside do suck they barely get soldered
I run a digital printing press that has hundreds of molex connectors. Sometimes a component seems to fail and one of the first things the manufacturer says to do is to reseat the connectors. Most of the times it fixes the problem.

As a certified Allison mechanic first thing you do is disconnect the OEM harness at the transmission. Check resistance on wires for circuit from tcm to end if harness. You find which wire is the problem then you repair wire.
That’s normal for that engine and transmission. Owned a few over the years. Not a good truck to use for snow plow contracts are hauling equipment around in the summer. If you want to stay working

dude, do yourself a favor and pick up a power probe from snap-on, has a visible indicator as well as an audible tone for power and ground, can read ohm and can supply 12v or ground to any circuit.. has saved me hours,

Spray the contacts with WD40. They are hi resistance. Oxidized.

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 I would say lift the top portion of fuse box and see if there's any wires that are burning

I have the same truck first time it acted up is when I had not driven it in 2 weeks and it was extremely cold had the same codes clearly them and had no problems until A year later again very cold never A problem when temperatures are comfortable it’s acted up about 3 times I just clear the codes and it works fine wish I knew but sure it’s A cold weather problem
