    Great

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jordan Russell says:

That's an unbelievably excessive amount of hub cleaning for a brake job; I've never seen so much time put into cleaning a hub face!

You should wear a mask , safety for ur family . Metal and brake dust is very dangerous, I used go home everyday smell all this and carbon exhaust clean my nose full of dust and dark brown it did hurt me in along runs , take care of ur self my friend and ur health in the future when you retire

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Juliana Rodriguez says:

A Eric are the penniless swivels on the market yet let me know

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars G Reod says:

I have the same right angle impact but for some reason my gun struggles to remove 110 ftlb lug nuts. How is it yours takes 150ft lug nut off so easily? I oil my tools, have high flow fittings on it, and I'm using a 3/8 inch air hose. Anyone know? Love your videos btw. 🙂 Just ordered 1894. I like the gun but I'm wondering if it's a lemon. It's excellent for small studs but horrible for anything above like 15mm.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ronald Johnson says:

That second rotor was messed up!

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars knockout says:

    You didn't bleed the brakes???!!!???

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bob Biggard says:

Can you do a review of the new flex head?? Got one coming next week!

    I have the 1832 1/2" version…frigging love it!!!

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Greg Hill says:

is that ceramic brake lubricant good for slide pins or do you switch to silicone grease for that?

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Greg Hill says:

i bet the air compressor oil would not like the crazy temperature swings of being outside .also would be bad having condensation freeze in air lines or bottom of tank drain

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike Rushing says:

Is it not necessary to open the bleeder when compressing brake calipers to prevent damage to abs module??

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Juliana Rodriguez says:

Hey Eric whats the part number on the socket

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Doug Mottert says:

    nice

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Juliana Rodriguez says:

Is the prototype on the market yet

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Carl Byington says:

Bro… stop saying, take it for a "shake" when your doing brakes, that's why ya did 'em, LOL

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kevin Carter says:

Are you showing how to change brakes or selling tools?

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars G. Fortin says:

Heya Eric ! Kinda wish you had tried a regular socket just to see if the straight air wrench would have removed those bolts before switching to the larger wrench.. cause you mentioned that the swivel sockets robbed power. have you done it since with a straight socket on caliper bolts ?

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Justin Pierre says:

I love the smell of brake clean in the morning, smells like…… victory

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Justin Pierre says:

Whomever invented torx needs to be hunted down and made to pay for his crimes. Chevy engineer putting on as a caliper retainer needs to be deported to Siberia. Who agrees with me?

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Dickerson says:

Wow….. an air hammer to take off the rotor? you dont have a little 3lb sledge? pretty sus…. and 2 different sized Astro brand air guns to take off the brakes? c'mon….. this is just a straighth commercial.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kirby Schneider says:

No more brake Kleen on the rotors? 🥺

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Villiage_idiot says:

It's tools like these that separate the men from the boys. I should be a little bit more man in a day or two.
My 2012 GMC Terrain (2.4L Ecotec) that I picked up used last year suddenly was out of time, probably by just one tooth on a cam sprocket. This was odd because the owner gave me all his receipts and just 10k miles before I got the car he paid $1400 for a timing chain service.
So I start wrenching a bit and the first thing I see is the top timing chain guide that sits above the chain between the cam sprockets has been sheered completely off. I think it unlikely that that happened in the 10k miles since the timing chain was replaced. So I order the guide and had planned to just drain the oil pull the cover off, get the timing alignment back and move on with life. I bought new oil, filter, crank bolt, cam bolts, and a new tensioner in preparation for this.
And as these things do…..it went all pear-shaped from there. So I assumed the sheared chain guide was what sent the previous owner to a garage for a new timing chain because the piece of metal probably caused a skipped tooth somewhere at the very least. Well, the chunk of metal was still there behind the timing cover and there was a lot of slack in the chain. About this time I notice the head of the chain tensioner is awful rusty. So this shop either didn't replace the top guide because it hadn't sheared off yet, or they saw it was sheared off and just didn't bother to spend 3 minutes to replace the part with the one from the timing chain parts kit. But even worse than that…the kid doing the work got frustrated with the tensioner being stuck (if he even bothered with it) and said "fuggit" and left the original on as well.
Now I'm not a small guy, and there isn't a hell of a lot of room to work with but I can get my 13" flex-head ratchet and 32mm socket (3/8 drive) on the tensioner…but that baby aint moving for me, no matter how much I rub her shoulders and tell her she looks pretty.
"Cswann8…does this novel have a conclusion" you may ask. It does (I hope), but it'll have to wait until I get my new Astro Pneumatic 1/2" Nano impact gun and 32mm 1/2 drive impact socket. I'll update when it comes in.
But what I can tell you now is the moral of this story. Even if you aren't an intrepid shade-tree mechanic like me…learn about this stuff. A little hand-held mirror and flashlight would have shown the previous owner that he just got ripped off to the tune of $1400 if he'd have just looked at that rusty tensioner and known what he was looking at. Eric is one of those unicorn mechanics that probably 1 in 10,000 small towns is lucky enough to have. I don't know of such a unicorn in the Austin TX area…but then I like working on cars, learning new things and buying new tools. And anyone in north TX would do very well to never darken the door of Integrity Car Care in Aubrey TX.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shane Harrison says:

Yeah the youd have to put an roof over it better of where it is and they dont know what their asking to move an 80 gal compressor the old one we had in the shop was a 375 gal compressor for a few years and it was a noisy bugger

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DAVID DJJD OLAVARR says:

not on the market back in 2018, am sure it has been in the market now at the end of 2020 – november…

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scott Reagan says:

Did that equinox have antilock brakes ?

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars goober pea says:

Anyone know what Big Nasty's walk-on music is?

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Alan Norman says:

Love brake jobs…will do mine myself the next time.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars slpip says:

Use the long swivel socket defeated the purpose of this short body tool. This is an insult of the short body impact tool.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Tredway says:

You are very artistic with getting the rust off and preserving the metal. I have never seen brake specialists do all of the cleaning and greasing that you do. They usually want to charge $1,100 for a brake job.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Manny's Vlog says:

Can you do a video teaching how to set up air compressor hoses and tools for the least amount of air leakage?

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rudolf Benner says:

    Keep compressor inside. Condensation problems.

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ross Hale says:

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rob Re says:

keep compressor where it is just build a insulation barrier around it noise suppressing installation 5/8 moisture sheetrock more dense or just put a silencer on it trivial jmo

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrSubaru1387 says:

Those pin-less swivels look very similar to Ko-ken…

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ron Omdalen says:

And would freeze up in the winter unless you add heat😩

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dylan Slachetka says:

Hey Eric O. love your videos. Not sure if you'll read this but if you do, on vehicle with ABS brakes should you open bleeder valve on caliper when compressing the brake caliper piston back or is that a myth. I'm just wondering. I never did it myself but just heard that it may hurt ABS system. Thanks.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars whatfreedom7 says:

Rated at 415lbs but can’t break brake bolts loose? Doesn’t sound right.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kingston Rick says:

Just curious why the rotors were scrapped out? On our 2010 Equinox, I have cut mine at 80K and 160K and it looks like I will scrap them out at 240K.Don't forget to use a back up wrench when removing the actuator guide pin screws.  I think Eric got lucky with the impact and did not tear up the pin boots.Install the guide pin screws at 20 ft-lbs.Also the caliper bracket bolts may have been Loctited from the factory.  We have been using Loctite red.The caliper bracket screw torque is 140 ft-lbs.

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Dyckman says:

Eric, love the brake videos, you taught me to do a better brake job. Thank You !

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dave Marks says:

Man, I really like your style!

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Aych Morgan says:

That riff when big nasty came out was 🔥🔥

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matthew W says:

was wondering what you sprayed on the hub before you put the rotor back on? Thank you

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark S says:

    Nice video, thanks
