It was brought to me by the customer after having it at the local dealer for 3 WEEKS and they told him they could not repair it and suggested he buy a new truck?!?! The engine light was on with a code P20B9-00 Reductant Heater Problem. 1, 2 Bar-B-Que lets fix this ol'chivy!

I replaced my reductive heater circuit I am not throwing any codes but I still have the service exhaust system light won't come off took it to dealer they told me drive it for an hour hour and a 1/2 at 20 miles and 30 miles Per hour I've done it twice nothing's happened do you have any advice

I had an old 11 Duramax they had to down in Florida they had the tank in a def with the heater went bad in the DF tank I don't know if that'll help you but you might take a look at that if you can

Had the same problem but I changed both NOx sensor and good as new
Just NOx sensor 1 was in backorder so took more than a moth to get but as soon as got both replaced and wohoo good to go

typical dealer, no diesel guy, let the truck sit there for three weeks to give the customer time to think and wonder around the sales lot. Regardless if the dealer makes more money on service than in sales. . . if sales numbers are down, then the salesmen aren't making any money on commission. . . and the more tricks they are going to try to get you to buy a new one. . . .🤣😜😋😋 and surprisingly, there are a lot of people that are gullible enough to fall for those sales tricks.

just viewed this video hard to watch cause i have done about 100 of these DEF tank resiviors don't even diag them anymore well i do command it on and ck. make sure theres a connection. parameter will have some amp reading . and in the special coverage witch is a extended warranty does have instruction . and you should be wearing gloves and eye protection . stuff is corrosive . love your videos . i noticed you started scraching back of your hand lol .

How the same problem with my 2016
Truck bounced in and out 7 to 9 times where the truck was purchased they couldnt resolve the issues so I talked to the boss and took it to another dealer who had no troubles handling the job or the work in one shot from then on the ones on the ball got all the purchases and repairs

Those trucks are always in the shop for those dang DEF heaters.
Removed heater assembly after dropping tank, replaced and put tank back in. Took me 2 hours.
Second time watching 5/31/2020
Lot of wasted time all you have to do is command the heater on and off and see if it changes heater 1 should go to about 6 volts if not its bad and all you have to do is change the reservoir. Any time you have a heater or level senor code it must be replaced not sure how the dealer dident fix that ya the def reservoir is under sprcial coverage i would have taken it back
Hello boss I have the same problem, I replace the heater and check engine light goes off but the DEF light keep flashing and gives the message for check reductant fluid system . Do you have a y idea how to take that flashing light off

Our desiel buses with DEF requires refills now and then or it will limp mode the engine.

I can't IMAGINE WHY the customer won't return to the dealer for the warranty work after they blew the opportunity to make the repair the first time they had the truck. Buy a Ford!
