What brand CV axles did you install? Curious with your experience on these GM trucks what brand CV axles you’d recommend. Cardone? Moog? Other? New or reman? Thanks! 👍
Instead of taking the torque rod bolt out. Take the bottom shock bottom out mo e the shock and it will come out.

If my inner front half cv joint fell out due to every bolt falling out from shop not torquing them, can I leave it hanging but tie it up supporting its weight so I can drive it half mile home to safety? Or will that ruin stuff further?
Ever tried just some back and fourth action with the air gun first ? Many times I can get the nut all the way off with minimal effort.
Also if you center it the flange and finger snug one bolt the rest go in easy. I usually rotate it like you do start the one just opposite and a dap of blue loctite on the rest.
What kind of sound does this make when the part goes bad?
I need mine replaced wish you lived in Minnesota yes it looks easy for the professionals

I think you do very good and work and you are very detailed oriented for example, the way you cleaned up the flange and added some spray for ease of installation and maybe rust minimization. I wonder if other shops are that detail oriented and actually do a good job especially after charging what they charge some of them. Anyway, great work always.

what brand of cv shafts are best value for the price? i checked rock auto they had a big selection. all are under 100 bucks except for ac delco they were over 400 . other options are CARDONE, surtrack and GSP. CARDONE has heavy duty option. i hear you get what you pay for. but can buy 5 for what 1 ac delco cost. i dont really do off roading much unless i have to. and it only snows here 3 or 4 times a year. they dont seem to difficult to change but i dont want to change em all the time for the fun of it .

I have to do this so thankfully you show something thats like an everyday driver in the rustbelt cuz other channels show a truck with no rust. I have hand tools so this should be fun!
