In this video I look at a Chevy Impala that was towed in with a customer complaint of no power steering, over heating and the battery light came on. These are all common symptoms usually related to the belt falling off the engine. However belts usually do not just "fall off." Let's see what really happened. -Enjoy!

Admittedly, I didn't watch the whole video on the Triton, mainly because I'm a home diy'er and would never be able to afford one, but I still love it when you do tool walkthroughs and have purchased quite a few tools based on either watching you use them day to day, or because of a walkthrough. But in those cases, I was already in the market for a tool of that type and am grateful for you sharing your experiences with it. thanks again and keep the awesome videos coming 😊

I am a first year CNC repair tech, I get to work around machinists and learn from them. Great guys, I won't lie a bit but with brilliance usually comes snobbery and narcissism. We're a nerdy bunch anyway, but I would love to be learning beside a guy like you. You got far better people skills and tolerance then most I work around. Un-enhance! Eh… Snap-on is really overpriced. Other scantools can do the same thing at a fraction of the $$. My ex mech bought a big Snap-on scantool. Was about 5 grand. Told me he would have to charge me $150 just to plug it into my car. I told him he can leave it in the shiny new box, and admire it.

one dummy repair shop put a new alt on my granmothers car n no new belt

Since you had the tensioner out, why not replace it to head off a failure in the near future?
When I had to replace the serpentine belt on my 97 Escort wagon it was a pain in the rear because of how tight it was
How much does this cost price range
The one thing that I'll say is good about GM, is that belt tensioner system. Get a wrench or a ratchet on it and the belt comes right off. Then you just have to wrangle it out of the engine bay.
It'd be nice if those hard heads at GM would listen to the mechanics for once and put a little working room into there for our big American hands. It's like they expect the competitors to do all the work on their cars!
