after camera hearing i would have drained transfer case oil and front pumpkin.I also had a 83 and 98 s10 4×4-both transfer cases did that when i stomped on throttle.Probably means blazer/jimmy's have that prob.
Chain problem
The issue is inside the NP transfer case! …not that all the linkages were not problematic either to begin with!
If I had to guess I would say transfer case chain or sprockets are enlarged! front axles are probably gone too! hubs and differential too!!! It probably hasn't had any gear oil changes in either of its three cases!
All of which translates into folks not keeping up with their service intervals and chart times! Usually due to crooked mechanics that scare the shit out of them, and turn the owners into ostriges! You know head in the sand if I don't see it then it doesn't exist type thing!

Transfer case more likely.
Transfer cases and fuel pump/lines are 2 of the gremlins on these little guys. Also, intake manifold gaskets

Had one worn chain. Would jump under acceleration in 4×4. $50 transfer case
2002 sl extended cab 4 door mine did the Same thing problem was rear end was shot to hell some one that installed the locker's didn't doo it right had to get a hole new rear end it's oct/3rd /21
800.00. All just because of someone's laziness I got it in that condition 4,500 later 😂 still love this truck very rare to find them in Northern California see how long it takes for somebody to steal the damn thing Oroville California home of the 4×4 tweakers

I'm ½ way in. I'm thinking with all that rust in the actuator housing I would be checking the switch if it moves freely and isn't fouling movement. I'll keep watching. Good work Eric 👍😉

I love the old S-10s, I have a 99 thats still going and has never really had any major issues. Mine is the 2wd 2.2 though.
I notice a couple unique features of the '03 S10 is that it comes equipped with both left hand gear shift lever and left hand ignition!
That noise is the front diff transfer case or you've got a cv way out a floppy flop I'm sure you already figured that out

Im going with checking the vacuum switch on top of the transfer case
