In this video we have a look at a 2005 Chrysler 300C Touring 3.5 that has an ABS code stored in it for a U1417 "Implausible Left Wheel Distance Signal Received." It doesn't take to long to determine that the wheel speed sensor is good and there is an issue with the magnetic tone ring.

My abs just won't boost the pressure anymore. If I manually cycle the ABS in a brake bleed cycle the pressure is good for about a day. Pedal is nice and responsive. Then it slowly goes back to being lousy and having to push it down really far.
So they are Hall effect sensors !

Hello Mr. Eric … nice diganosis for ABS specially for the miscommunication occurs at start but I'm asking how did you pass it with scan tool to continue scanning the speed sensors data.

Hey Eric, got a question for you, or the Nissan techs on your channel,
My mrs has a 2009 Nissan xtrail, developed noisy front wheel bearings. I changed out the wheel bearings and found after I did the repair the accelerator was super jerky and you can’t hold a steady speed, no abs or warning lights, I removed the front wheels again and found the tone wheel on the front left bent over from the being dropped during shipping so I removed it and straightened it out, re fitted it, removed the abs sensor and the pole wheel is perfectly true where it runs now but acceleration still jerky and the cruise control won’t hold a steady speed either (obviously from this underlying issue) have scanned it with a snap on Solus edge scanner and no codes and the abs sensors look to be reading the same when we took it for a drive monitoring the sensor output like you did in this vid with the graphs. Can you help? I am stuck

When i have abs codes to deal with, i just put the car up til the tires just clear the floor, put the trans in neutral with the key on, engine off, and have my scantool on graph display. I just turn the tires and look for a pattern/activity. Can find out very quickly the good ones and the dead ones. But that Pico is nice. seeng the pattern blown up is very interesting.
Proper tools +experience+knowledge+ common sense = very happy customer. Great quick and dirty diagnostic video. It's cool to hear your thoughts processes out loud. I guessed abs issue off the bat. Close but no cigar. Have a great weekend Mr. O.

I did a 300 a few weeks ago, and the magnetic pick up ring was on the axle itself and not the bearing.
I just had my wheel speed sensor replaced by the dealer on my Wrangler with only 29k miles on it.
