See that? That's how we create our constant velocity rotating axle with a pair of a pair of those types of joints. Fun fact:.

Well, it is the cheapest and weakest version of a cv joint. The bearings are mounted to the ball and slide in and out of those channels. The outer race sees a lot of off angle sliding in the channel.
