Bought my rolla used 30k on it…former shop replaced iridium with 99cent junk plugs.. turned steering boot binding it so it broke.. doing steering servicing.. I called last owner to find another shop.. they were thankfull and did..
Neighbor had me look at her car..air cleaner was not fully clipped it was open at end…transmission dip stick stood out 5 inches.. we live in dusty area.. just nuts.. wheel lugs I had to jump on socket wrench to loosen really hard..air impact usless.. I was pissed…no way you could have changed a flat on roadway..
I'm glad you found your groove in making your videos ( now and current) I thought I was watching Mr Roger's doin a DYI.. you definitely have improved on " character and presentation" Thanks for the entertainment value with some knowledge.
ohhhh…. you take all plug wires off at once… you never get firing order right .. oh yeah.. coil pack vs. distributor. my younger brother and his buddy decided to tune up his car.. pulled all wires off distributor and plugs. i bailed em out. lol
Ray, I had the same thing happen to me here in Texas at the jiffy lube. Lucky I know a little about cars. Checked all areas and found it not connected. People really need to recheck their work.
There was a time that if the car broke down the guys first looked under the hood for the obvious problems, but now we depend so much on technology is that the first thing is to pull out the scanner
Not worth repairs. This a panther frame. Not only plastic intake manifold, has water leak in front of windshield passenger side intake vent. If a person is mechanically include then they can save 1000’s in repairs, it might be worth repair. Hope the rear air shocks do not brake.
I overheard 2 lube store employees talking one time about how they would purposely sabotage customers cars. Anywhere from purposely stripping the oil pan plug threads, to breaking suspension parts or tearing CVJ boots.
I don’t know why but I love your channel I’m pretty impressed by your patience For me it’s @#&$ &####. &&$@@@# this m#$&*@#$&*& thing when I drop a washer that I’ll never need again anyways lol
Did anyone notice the nut left sitting there after he put the engine cover on? Too many comments to find out if anyone else noticed it. Just recently found your videos and have been watching ever since, love them.
Every time I see you put in new spark plugs I keep thinking of vicegrip garage. "Gapped!" Hope other people get this reference. If you don't he repairs older cars and trucks. Definitely a must watch channel.
8 short months since this was posted . The dramatic increase in Rays video skills and comfort talking to the camera between then and now is amazing, I didn’t think it was him at first. Well done Ray
Did Hercules put them junk Champions plugs in, not surprised that the back right had water on it. It was a common problem on those fords around that area. Crown vic, F 150, etc… Bad seals for the hood.
The "carbon" you intend to clean from the throttle body is a special lubricant intended to keep the throttle plate from sticking to the throttle body. I always use anti seize compound on spark plug threads, especially when I know I will change these plugs in future.
Man I wish my p0171 was that simple to fix. Love those easy to find issues.
Thanks!

Champions only belong in a chrysler.

I love those Lincolns❤️
Those 4.6 2v motors are so reliable and such a good engine. Loves those things.
Boy you got lucky with those spark plugs. Not one broke.🤗
Hope you put the nut left by the passenger wiper back on.
This is before you developed your video persona. Nice evolution!!
Sure wish I could find and trust a mechanic like you ray here in hudson valley n.y. ! , keep on truckin brother !!

No anti seize!

what about the rust on that one plug?
Always good. Thanks Mr. Rainman. Debo
Probably showing my age, but why don't people set the gap on plugs anymore?
Love your videos but am I missing something….what did this have to do with a lube shop as per the title? What did I miss? Click bait???

Love your videos. Why don't you use antisieze on the plugs? Or do you and just not show it?
Patience is a virtue 😀
It's just a Corona stain, they all do it as spark plug attract oil & dirt from the Static Electricity from firing

So many cars, so much to know!
Love how people knock Champion spark plugs, yet rave about AC Delco. It's the same company. The AC actually stands for " Albert Champion"
I notice you didn't put any anti-seize on the plugs or any delectrice grease in the boot?
Love the sound of the air tools when I watch your videos. When I am listening with my headphones the stereo sound makes it seem I am in my shop.
U got seven black ones ND one white one
Another top notch Rainman vid!
If the coil boot gets stuck in the tube use your blow gun tip inside the boot itself and it will pop it off without risking damage
I don’t know why but I love your channel
I’m pretty impressed by your patience

Wish I had a mechanic like you to work on my vehicle. Very throughroll

As always Ray thank you for sharing your videos.
Did you torque the spark plugs off camera?

Where in the hell is the general public going to find a fine mechanic like this?
Why didn't you change the plug boots too? They are easily prone to fail.
Careful pulling plugs on the 4.6, threads are too long and carbon buildup can wreck the threads.
Ray, could I just ask a question, only curious. Why do you start a car and change gear with your left hand?
i won't even put Champion plugs in my lawnmower.

Checking out one of your older videos. Your presentation has improved! Great job!
