That hose clamp would go much easier, if only you had some battery powered driver. Hmmmm, if only…..

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rick james says:

I wouldn't touch that one. If that hose springs a leak and burns the truck to the ground…….. Oh you worked on it last….

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rick james says:

    Not seeing the issue??

SO. MANY. Opportunities to say either "Giggity" or "That's what she said!" in Ray's videos. But I think he knows his audience!
Stay safe. It can be hazardous working for the Dealership of Homeland Security.

So, this is a Bakery truck? We get a lot of those, since we share a bordar with Colorado

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Ashcroft says:

When I had a Smart Car people walked in front of me and behind me. So I added a beeber when reversing. It looked stupid but it helped people to pay attention. LOL

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ilhan rasljanin says:

shouldnt you have left it longer, and got it over that groove on the right, then put the clamp past that?

cant that slide off over time that way?

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DeSoto Sky says:

there must be a better type of hose for this. The fuel filler hose on my boat going from a deck fitting to the tank under the floor was not collapsable and it had a number of bends in it.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kimberly McCraw says:

It's always better when you get it in

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ROD DEITRICH says:

When hoses kinked back in the old days they would put Springs inside radiator hoses to keep them from doing that maybe that would be an idea for this fuel line.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ROD DEITRICH says:

Why do you insist on using a flatblade Screwdriver instead of a socket 5/16 inch or 8 mm doesn’t ever slip or rarely does!

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Silent Woodfire says:

Don't tempt the internet with something like 'classified' and 'secure', 4Chan has found where shit is for less reason

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scott Wilson says:

I saw you stab your hand with that screwdriver that’s why I never use a screwdriver for that job.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jay DeGelder says:

Couldn't you have put a clamp on the kink.?

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Wayne Arnold says:

Put a big spring in the hose

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Than Oliver says:

my jeep had a recall on it for it doing the same thing when filling it, but i never filled it anyway.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gregory King says:

I was silently yelling when you were stabbing at that hose to cut it, and then playing submarine races with that hose clamp and flat blade finger opener upper…
For the love of all things mechanical use a hose/PVC cutter and a nut driver bruh. 🤣

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Mowery says:

    Wow

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jojofixer says:

    Add clamp on kink too.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Leger says:

Better idea is to add a hose clamp as a stiffener over the kink, to keep it un-kinked…

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brian says:

a nice massage always gets the kinks out 👍

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ThePsiclone says:

love that there's no paint on the plywood where the hose was hahaha. Quality job.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Corey DeWalt says:

I've had people yell at me that a tire should never have over 30 psi in it because it kills the ride and safety…tell that to all the explorers that rolled over in the 90s because the door jam said 25 psi to lower ride hight to legal standards.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrJCM Junior says:

2012-15 Ford Focus…gas spews out…fuel tank collapses and bends/damages fuel pump…cause: $25 purge valve located under hood…cost of repair…up to $2100…got a whole fleet of them…we replace the purge valve on every car that comes in and has not had it done

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars f143744 says:

That’s why you have a spring inside of fuel filler hose…

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mitch Staff says:

Not that this was GMs fault but don't buy any of their post Obama bailout junk.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars OzrikKnob says:

The hose isn't too long, it wasn't pushed onto the pipe far enough. It should be long enough to extend beyond the reduction in pipe diameter, which is where the hose clamp should go (so it can constrict around the smaller OD of the pipe and prevent the hose from slipping off). You've just created an even more unsafe situation. Great work.

You're kind of a hack mechanic, huh?

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cmurk says:

Your hands are way to clean for you to be a mechanic

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Franco says:

I look away every time I see someone use a blade driver on a hose clamp. They are either 6 or 8 mm sockets.

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jonathan Mayer says:

Almost stabby stabby gets me every time.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Torrent says:

What in the flying F? Did it come from the factory too long??

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ed jovi says:

omg that is fucked up lol

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars adam j says:

    That hose is junk.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Micho_37 says:

It’s the internal peacock valve in the hose. The upfitters forgot to open it.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars albert pipkins says:

I am a automobile transport driver and we haul these cut van chassis from the factories to the Dealerships and the Outfitters all of the time and the fuel hoses are usually kinda long and usually zip tied to the frame of the truck so that they don't get damaged in transport, and they probably should be cut off to the proper length and straighten out properly by the outfitters or equipment company for the particular body, box, bus, ambulance or ect. that they install on the chassis, so that is my summation for y'all after 36 years of vehicles transporting

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mario says:

You working for the CIA?? Its a damn car dealership

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Pryor says:

A steel spring inside the hose would help.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars imthemistermaster says:

Doesn't anyone get curious about you talking to yourself so much?

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ken Merriman says:

Holy shit, that hose! Though to be fair, it was likely the work of the aftermarket up fitter and not the factory that jacked that hose up, to those who called out GM for that particular fault…
