Uncle is a car guy, which by the way I’m extremely thankful for as his niece seeing as I’m Miss Accident Prone. I remember several instances of him taking his time on issues, which I not only was grateful he was doing it anyway, but I even got entertainment/education from it(one of these instances was him working on the inside of my driver’s door of my old 2003 Subaru Outback, when we had the actuator replaced and then the window started acting up, safe to say about 40 minutes of entertaining swearing and getting to see how the inside of my door worked was great). I’ve blown tires out, screwed up my steering after ramming into a curb because of the snow, and plenty of other stupid shit that I was completely lucky to have such a knowledgeable relative on my side for. Also because of having older cars(previous 2003 Subaru Outback and current 2007 Outback), I’ve had issues like the actuator on my driver’s door in the older one or like my windshield sprayer/rear wiper on the newer one. When I went in to have the front windshield sprayer replaced, I mentioned the rear wiper and he wasn’t sure if he could have it replaced since it was close to the end of the day. He came back in a couple of minutes with a smile asking, “You got 10 minutes for me to get the wiper in?” Told him hell yes and he had it replaced in a flash after he got it.

Lady can go suck a lemon and if she wants shit done that fast, she best be prepared to have it done very shitty if not at all. Just my 2 cents!

Someone with a sense of entitlement that drives a mercedes?

    That must be a first.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars RONINDRUMMER says:

"Damned if i do, damned if i don't." That. I felt that. I appreciate your attitude. Doing the job right, no matter how long it takes is the only way a mechanic can sleep well at night

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rashad issack says:

The way you checked the oil level isnt right you checked it by turning upside down every thing you know what you are doing , good video

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Slinkey says:

I once didn’t have the proper oil filter cup, throw a adjustable oil filter strap on it and it does just as well without damaging it.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Frogtalkin says:

this engine by merc can all be done without a lift using de vac apparently. I just remember the engine and a conversation I had with my old boss when he was talking about these being done at merc from the top, no lift needed. probably take alot longer, he said no they suck that oil out quickly. maybe something that could be useful in other things

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steven Downing says:

Bahahaha you got me so good with the big ass channel locks with the oil filter lolol

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Some Dude says:

During Covid try getting parts. We have a Mitsubishi Galant in. Half the parts on the rr suspension are discontinued and salvage yards are the only option. Took over 4 weeks to get parts People need to understand most often it’s not the shop. They’re more frustrated than you.

Gotta pay to play. They bought a premium vehicle, so of course it's going to require premium service. If you are THAT impatient, then get an economy vehicle.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Zetr Fox Paradox says:

Those people really. "Hurry up" When I take the car to the service station. I take it all day off because I never know how long it will take or if my mechanic will find something to fix before I leave.
    > Better a good job or not doing your job at all. The mechanic takes care of your car, including the brakes. And with that, you can come back. Or never. <

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars sam montiforte says:

    She black.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Edwin McGuire says:

Seems the Problem is the Service Writer or Manager is NOT explaining how long the Job can take upfront, if the Customer DOESN'T have an hour then SCHEDULE a Day that suits and if she KNEW upfront it would take an hour and she starts getting IMPATIENT 15 mins in then It's on her and tell her to go elsewhere next time. DON'T be AFRAID to FIRE the CUSTOMER. If the Company has GOOD Mechanics then they shouldn't be Afraid to Stand up for them. Just my $00.02 (- $01.00 Because of Brandon).

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Dietz says:

Dam oil looked like it could be used still. This video sucks

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars J T says:

Maybe when your client is in a hurry, you shouldn't waste time setting up a camera and narrating for the sake of youtube likes…

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sebi One says:

Of course maintenance takes longer on a Mercedes. You have fifteen hundred pounds of plastic to remove before you get to the first metal component.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chuck Ray says:

I think all mechanics should be filmed. Just saying. Go Rainman Go!

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Bowyer says:

Bro I cringed so hard when I saw you put the pliers on the oil filter and an ad came up 🤣 5 seconds of hell
Why did you slam the old filter out? Did you oil that new o ring? No torque wrench in your shop?

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ramona Matthews says:

When servicing a German peice of shit, it is recommended the maintenance light be reset AFTER the service. You don’t know if you have a rounded plug, butterfly clip, proper filter.
I hope you left the seat set all the way back just to piss her off

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gman says:

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Lanavishnu Orchestra says:

Our shop (IT support company) has fired customers before. One guy was regularly unreasonable and would cuss in our office. I do not miss him. Another client we fired was because they were SO slow to pay their bills and would then come back on a three month old bill to quibble about something or other. Wait three months to quibble over the bill you're paying? Yeah, that eventually got them fired. Another client would never pay a bill until it was 90 days old, but wanted priority expedited service when they called. Fired.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars S Dew says:

if she dont like it, go to a Mercedes dealer/garage pay 10x more.

I just got a job as a service adviser writer at a shop. And I’m lovin it haha I’ve been watching these videos for years. Now it makes sense haha

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Whitelaw says:

Nothing garuanteed to make me slow down more than a customer who starts chasing me before I’ve even got the skid panels off. The more visits I get from the service desk, the slower I go.

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars waydegod says:

I take extra time servicing my car just so I don't make any mistakes or miss anything

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars beebait says:

If it weren't designed the way it woere with all the covers it would go faster. For a routine oil change you shouldnt have to remove all the covers. Thats ridiculous.

Sounds like an average mercades driver.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars mike daytona says:

    was she black or Asian?

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Willem says:

Just take all the time you need for a good service..If the customer is not agreed with it, he is free to go to another shop..

    Entitled people are the worst.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars PRASSMAN CREATIONS says:

I own a MERC, their the most simple easy car ever to work on,
you can litterally dismantle the entire car & rebuild it within 1 day with a 10mm spanner.
ANY MOFO who tries to pretend that the customer doesn't know shit & tries to rip them off as a way to learn a car that they don't know is a fukin loser !

    WE BUY MERC'S BECAUSE THEY BARELY BREAK & WHEN THEY DO IT'S A SMALL EASY ITEM. . . . . . . . .

    THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars uwishuknow says:

Since when do we change the oil Filter befor getring rid of All the old oil?

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Dixon says:

why do most modern cars have sump covers

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Zagadka42 says:

You put the skid plate on backwards

  50. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scuba Moto says:

I had only two complaints, it's that you took the oil cap off and put it face down on the engine, nothing more annoying when seeing oil in places that don't make since….That and 45 minutes for an oil change. I've done multiple oil changes on that exact car and have service tickets to show it takes no more than 20 minutes… I honestly blame the lack of motivation and having a camera in your hand 24/7 does slow down the process…. From one Service Tech to another….
