You should make your “do do do do do” into a ring tone.

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Arnold M says:

I'm surprised the plastic ring securing the strut survived the accident on the hit side but the other fell off haha. Cheap plastic holding suspension onto the vehicle, hahaha. Maybe the mob convinced them, hahaha

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Arnold M says:

    Petr needs his own channel!

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars randy beard says:

This Plastic Retaining Ring that Holds the Strut In place, really shows how far down the Sewer Chrysler/Fiat/ Jeep has Fallen–the Original Bolts Holes are still on Top Pedestal as shown in your video. Everyone has to know that bolts will most assuredly hold up the strut better that one pc. of plastic. Engineering in my humble opinion just like Politics is going to Hell very quickly…

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Alice Eliot says:

    The gun broke?
Good thing you live in a civilized country where you don't need to bring your own tools to work. Like in those gold mines in the old times, where they would drive you into debt by selling you the tools you needed to work in their mine.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jos de Koning says:

I wonder if this car is worth fixing.. In fact, I think not

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Martin Audet says:

    9.32 "money shot". Still LMAO.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Justin Ferguson says:

Whoa, someone must have some serious sentimental love to repair that car. That looks to be a pile of work and money

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Catherine Morgan says:

Shaft in hole not going there ROFL

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Alex Nairn says:

Must be time to buy some more milwaukee tools

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars blxtothis says:

Blimey, that front shock tower fastening system must have been designed by somebody sleep waking, wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t watched this, what an absolute crap design, considering that the other side wasn’t even fastened probably shows that the bean counters thought they didn’t need securing at all so came up with that idea as a token gesture!

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matthew Miller says:

The brake lines busted is a non-issue, plenty of friction grinding everything else up bent and rubbing to stop the car…

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars KING TUT says:

Hey Ray how about a new bearing.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Retro Rabbit says:

Looks like a side impact… the other strut clip was involved in the accident, it was pushed to the point it separated and released the strut. If those struts were fixed in the normal bolted to a bit of tin method, the top mount would have been damaged on both, possibly the car would have been a total loss. So the plastic mounts (that only stop the strut falling out when it's jacked up) makes for a lower insurance premium, due to less expensive repairs, because they minimise structural damage in front or front/ side collisions. The most common type being a kerb strike.
I once owned a Volkswagen Polo that was written off due to kerb strike at less than 20mph, the damage looked similar but not as bad as this one, until I looked at the strut tower and realised it was mangled, just enough to need to be replaced, along with the driver's door, the wing (fender? I think you call them in America) strut, tie rod and drive shaft…
Never bought another VW since, never will again.
Pretty sure these clips are a Chrysler thing, maybe FIAT (Fix It Again Tomorrow ) or PSA since Daimler sold the group to them years ago, definitely never seen it on a Mercedes Benz.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jana Burritt says:

    I would total it

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars johnik sushibar says:

imagine driving down the road knowing that important things like the front struts were held in by a cheap plastic clip ?

    We can dance. Safety dance

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Quick Brown Fox says:

I noticed that the strut retainer thingy had some words imprinted on the top. I also noticed that you did not properly rotate the strut retainer thingy with the words on top so that they were facing forward so you could read them properly. I am sure, now that you know, you will strive to orient all future strut retainer thingies with words on top properly in the future.

Thank you for your compliance 🤣

I don't really care what engineer came up with that plastic clip – that engineer had his head up his ass.
….. And then I got to the part of the video where one of the other side flew right off. Nice to know if you go over a big bump your suspension isn't attached!!!!

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Bootleg Garage says:
