Come along with me as I replace the power steering pump on my own 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTL. I decide to fix this one at home instead of driving to the shop...
Do not follow any of the procedures in the video. They are preformed by a complete amateur and are incorrect in all aspects. Nothing was torqued and no manual was followed. He doesn't even use the right fluid. Please refer to your shop manual if you wanna learn how to fix your car. This video is for entertainment only.

You should build a huge Pill Barn on your property and move your business there at your home
I know that feeling. I run a small business and if I have go there on a day off even for 5 minutes people will start bothering me, even if I leave the door locked they stand there and knock.
Thank u for sharing from your home. Big difference from your shop when u only have limited tools. But a good mechanic is a good mechanic anywhere. Anyway, great to work in those surroundings. Cheers from Puerto Rico..
I build gun holsters an you are wearing yours in the right spot , I can't tell you how many people try having it more on their hip. I'm like damn your not a cowboy

Jesus, you just saved me from buying a cardone P/S pump. I almost bought it. Now I'm gonna buy a BBB industries one.
My kind of guy. Carries a hog leg! Sweet
A quick question if i may. So i was following you step by step looked ok to me but, my steering wheel got harder to turn. Will you or anyone help me out?
My power steering pump makes that exact noise,.and so does a lot of other ones I've seen. Great tip on that o-ring ๐.
Does anyone know the torque specs off the top of their head for this job? Much appreciated. Great video
Another great video, as always. My Ridgeline pump is whining so this is in my near future. Thanks
Good job Eric. Great timing Vanessa!! Coffee at the end!!
You had handover steering.
On a Honda, you should use Honda psf only.
Honda uses a manufacturer specific fluid. Toyota can use atf.
You don't work on yours until you have to. As much as you do in your shop, it makes sense. A 19 is equal to 3/4.
hey hows this BBB pump doing? I replaced my old pump with this same pump. Having some small issues only after a small amount of time.
Hi Eric, Welcome to my world . When have a repair to do. I have to do outside when weather is good. I live I n.v a apartment complex. Oh you my tractor on your coffee mug. On my first job. I drove tractor just like that one in the 1970s. Was working on a farm. Tractor was farmall super H narrow front with a bucket. 32 hp 6 cylinder straight line. 5 speed stick. When I learn how drive from.
Might want to prime the pump by pouring some oil in the suction section tube
They sold you a minivan with most of the roof and seats missing! You should sue.
Clop clop clop bang an amish driveby lol beep beep vrrrrrroooooom
Yes they sure will that's one reason I'd painted the windows on the garage and put my exhaust hose out the back of the building just to get my own stuff done on weekends in the end I cleared the windows but but put slide boards in to shut them tight when solitude was needed
Yep sign that it's time for a new pump for sure
Awesome you saved me money because of that oring. Ty. I have the exact same truck as you, color too. Do you have the navigation and sunroof?if you do what model does it make it the rtl?
You don't need a sidearm when working on a Honda.
Always enjoy watching you work. Sadly, I would be cursing my decision to DIY. I still do the project, but my wife doesnโt come around while I work. Too much bad language.
Lucky you Eric. I live at my shop I dont know what a weekend is lol. love your videos best of wishes to you and your family.
this kind of repairing is my ball park. in the grass or drive way, using what i got. learn to get smart.
I think we freak about torque specs because we don't have a feel for what the correct specs should be. But plugs should be bright orange with tabs/flags.
You're so luck to be living on such a placid piece of land. I am super jello!!!!!
Turned slightly Jewish (OY!) releasing that tension pulley to get the belt back on!๐๐
Eric trying to steal Scotty's niche by fixing his vehicle in the driveway.
What can I say? Vanessa brings you coffee in the driveway and changes her own oil. She's a blessing.
Neat old tractor! When we lived I Vermont on a dairy farm we had 2 farmall H and an Oliver 66
love the green landscape over in ole new york. I grew up in California. I've been thinking about moving out there after i finish college. I know where I can take my car if ever I make it haha! god bless mr O
RIGHT 2 BARE ARMS ๐๐๐๐ฏ
Do you always carry when fixing a car ๐
And you like guns….now I like you even more.
A shoemaker never has shoes
What size of trailer do you tow with the Honda?
YOU GUYS CAN PACK HEAT?? Canada sucks!
Listening to the birds in the back ground is very therapeutic compared to hearing shop noises. I prefer your home and no air tools allowed.
Like tie video especially the personal protective piece.
Husky: Not impressed, even when the power steering's fixed.
I really enjoy your, at home videos. It appears that you live in a beautiful area. Nice!
