  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Donnie Robertson says:

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kirk Matheson says:

The OM for my Stratus, says that the battery can be removed without having to remove the wheel. Didn't work for me. Not enough room to get the battery out.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Frey says:

in the wheel well omg Chrysler only

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Wheeler says:

Were the cables long enough to allow the battery to be flipped when reinstalled? That would place the negative terminal on the near side.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Donnie Robertson says:

    Nice job again like always

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars HunterShows says:

What a huge pain in the ass to change a battery.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David E.S. says:

Proves I know nothing. Looking at the bottom of the battery when you put the new one in. I would have sworn that it needed to go in a little more. Looked like it was sitting on the edge of the tray.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kb Brooks says:

Dodge's and attempt to get people to start paying for battery replacement when they getting their oil change..

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Eberhardt says:

I'd like to have two minutes with the person that designed this. Never saw a battery in and out take more than five minutes. Just two minutes…

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars PC Lotion says:

Such a pain is the A$$ to change it ! Glad I got a Japanese car which battery is inside the engine bay lol

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars D K says:

And I thought GM's throwback to the old vw beetle days of the battery under the seat was stupid……. I would have never even known to look in the wheel well??? No comment mr Daimler benz…

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anon Ymous says:

    Darn YouTubers..

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars KSECP says:

Thats one hell of battery change. Looks rusty shock strut is more easy to change

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars n325aej says:

i put my spanner on the + and touched the body work and it melted abit off my spanner instantly and It flew across the room. can you do this to show the viewers please?

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mauricio D says:

what a stupid place to put a battery !

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tom George says:

Is there enough battery lead to let you put the battery in the other way around, so the negative terminal is at the end where you can easily disconnect it first?
Don't they provide insulation boots to go over the terminal assemblies in case something fall down there?
Looks like the battery was an afterthought.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars pomonabill220 says:

That has got to be the STUPIDEST design! Of course, it's a Chrushler… what else?!

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars A big world out there says:

    I remember that stupid battery

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David O'String says:

Thank you for showing this video, now I know what car not to buy!

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Your ass ain't safe says:

The point of Chrysler doing that is because they didn't think the car would last long enough to change the battery

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars wysetech2000 says:

I love some of the comments…Battery under the fender…Hell, that's nothing along side of some of the things in newer cars today. You can't poke sarcasm at one brand because they are all the same, YES all of them. Replacing a battery is all in a days work. Worried about removing your spare tire from underneath your late model Caravan on a shitty (it's probably flat anyway) day join the AAA or CAA. I'm a mechanic and i belong to the CAA. Ya think i want to change a tire in a snow storm when i'm dressed up or get shafted with the cost of a tow?

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris B says:

Dodge Durango battery under front passenger power operated seat. Great video

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Aaron Belknap says:

What a design snafu! I bet they engineered everything then thought "oh crap, we forgot the battery!" Then they installed there….. Great video. I'm glad you don't return calls. It's nice enough that you film your work for the rest of us to see and work on our cars if we have the right diagnosing tools. I thank you for your work and sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. I wish I knew what you forgot! Keep em coming!

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! David Hill says:

Based on some “testing” videos, Kroil is not the best penetrant, but by FAR the most expensive. Your thoughts?

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jason Foster says:

I worked for Advance as a second job. We never did Chrysler. Only under the hood. Usually no Wi-Fi m Audi or Mercedes. I have an A4battery is heavy. I have issues remove and installing because battery is heavy. I'm big and lift weights. I've never re-installed hold down bracket pain in butt and battery weighs 80lbs no point

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars john child says:

What a fool of a place to put a battery and the terminals in the most inconvient place

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JOHN HUFNAGEL says:

No Advance doesn't change battery's on a Chrysler or light bulbs.

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JOHN HUFNAGEL says:

I really wanted to call and leave a message, but I am sure some dick already beat me to it. Lol
Seriously what if a youtuber wants to make a appointment for you to fix his vehicle?

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kevin Campbell says:

I might just call one way and have Stevie Wonder saying I just called to say… LOL Just for kicks! LOL

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Alan Matthews says:

Once again a Chrysler design to create hours. How many people have the tools to do this? Make it as difficult to get to it. Next it will be under the dash.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars NeshX says:

    Stupid design

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars hatfez says:

That's it, I'm unsubscribing! I don't like the way Eric looked at the camera. I would do the repairs differently. I'm calling him up and leaving a message. I know he will want to get back to me, how busy could he be?
What a bunch of idiots here. It's a video, it's entertainment! Grow up, people!

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars youcrackmeupdude says:

I asked an Avenger owner for a jump the other day and he told me to go f*@k myself. Now I know why.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Richard 1 says:

    Great Job Eric.

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Missing Link's Younger Brother says:

I wouldn't want to have to get the terminal off of the battery quick in an emergency!

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DCD says:

WoW, wonder how you jump start that car when the battery goes flat?? That must be the most stupid place for a battery ever. At least in the boot youd get access to it.

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MultiArrie says:

that is a silly place to keep a battery.

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Alan Trohear says:

Why do car manufacture's put things in awkward places, answer to make money out of the owners what DIY mechanic would want to change this battery especially in 6ft of snow, whatever the weather it would mean lying on the ground, and would probably be in the winter as this is when most batteries fail.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DakotaMan says:

Our friends at DCA (since it is a 2008) dropped the ball with the battery placement! At the very least, the orientation of the battery should have been reversed, so that the negative post is outboard, so the installer does not have to disconnect the POSITIVE first!

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars wyldbladze says:

If the negative cable was meant to be removed first on that car model, the battery would have been turned around so you could actually get to it first.

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ryan says:

why could they not put the battery in the back lol

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris says:

Ya know I'm sitting here watching you and no dout you are a great mechanic. and then I thought wow Chrysler really sucks ,,,,,, what a shit design,,,,

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Peter Boissiere says:

Why didn't u use felt pads

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Peter Boissiere says:

Why didn't u clean the terminals

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Raul Alvarez says:

This would be a deal breaker, I would be pissed finding this out!!! Car batteries only last 18-24 months in the desert….

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Buddy Guy says:

If you're thinking about calling Eric and leaving a message, don't bother him, bother me. I will give you the auto advice you deserve. For example, here he sprays the terminal nuts to loosen them up a little. That is a waste of penetrant and could damage your lungs. To safely get some purchase, lever your wrench against the other terminal. Battery terminals are located specifically for you to do this. If you get sparks it means you're not holding the wrench tight enough against the terminals.
