In this video I take you along as I bang out a front wheel bearing on a 2009 Dodge Avenger non-ABS. Pretty simple with the help of Big Nasty! -Enjoy!

Your wrong about not fast . I have 2011 with the v6 penastar and it fast as hell
Bless you
Especially the one down in Florida..dont know how easy they got it down there..
Torque spec?
With those style hub caps I learned to install the tire with two lug nuts on the east and west lugs down the valve stem. Then slide the hub cap on and install the other three.
Why did you torque the axle nut but not the caliber bracket bolts? I'm just a diy n trying to learn when do you need to torque the bolts n when not too?
When New Yorkers say they know about rust PLEASE!!!!!!! 12 feet of snow and 2 feet of salt a year on our roads in Sudbury, Ontario (Thats in Canada btw) now I know how to change mine on my Avenger, it is a bad ass car
Please, what is the torque of the screw that you attached to the torque hand?
He took that out so fast
"Not much too it"Except the cost, easily 200 bucks plus at your local shop.
Anyone know the torque specs for the hub to knuckle bolts and the axle nut?
I had to do both wheel bearing on my Dodge Stratus. They must have gotten a great deal on cheep wheel bearing, tie rod ends too.
Over here in the good old Uk we had a the Hillman Avenger total POS even the one called the tiger with the big V8 small block rover motor 🚘
Reminds me of my dentist.
i like the raw and uncut
Is it the same on a 2012 avenger? God job man! I enjoyed ur video
I all say bless you when you sneeze lol.
Thanks for a great look and tutorial…..plus the humor…I'm a southerner I didnt think your were rough on it….most people beat it like it owes them money….great job tho….sure helps me get it done with confidence…thanks
Love your channel man. Keep up the awesome vids
Would love to bring my 20 year old Excursion in for you to look at, it being a southern vehicle, to marvel at the lack of rust. I used to live in upstate, so I'm familiar with the rust.
Might be an interesting video. Lemme know.
What was the torque spec for the Axle Nut? I have a 2013 Dodge avenger SE I can't find the torque spec for mine.
I had an 08 avenger, I felt it was a great car but I did have a thermostat, wheel bearing hub, alternator and fuel pump on it between the miles of 130k to 180k miles. Sold it for $3200. 2.7l v6 fun first car. Paid like 5k for it.
And most folks who live up here would die laughing at those who complain about your hub bearing removal skills have never worked on anything with this much corrosion they'd freak
Avenger should have called it the pretender pretending to be more than a pregnant rollerskate
Oh Magooh, you've done it again!!!
Second time watching 5/25/2020
One comment, use a BFH to pound on the hub to break it free. Don't need a air hammer. Have to do one, I'll see if I can video it for you.
On all these bearing replacement vids I've never seen you put new bolts and axle nuts. You always use the old ones. Shouldn't you use new when replacing the hub?
You are a repair garage compressor is a sound of progress
Wait 2009 vehicle without abs??? Wow
Anyone that would call you a hack is clearly the hack themselves. Im in Virginia and I still understand the rust problem you deal with. Heck look at more SMA videos, that is some serious rust dude. Keep rocking Eric O!!
I just watched a video from SKF they make a hub / bearing puller, looked pretty easy and QUIET
I'm a lifelong deep southerner, been around machinery all my life and have never heard anyone doubt the hell that salted roads create.
I love it! Let those southern "mechanics" come up here. I had a hub that was so stuck on a Silverado today,
I had to get the plasma cutter out.
Dang it ! Fergot me squints ! Got a wee bit of rust in me aye .
If she told you to chop it off, your kids wouldn't be here ..
I have a 2010 dodge avenger is it better to buy the assembly with the hub and bearing or will it be hard to compress a bearing cause its a 2010
i accept the challenge. ill come up there and work on crust. you come to sw florida and work in august. 106 degrees 100% humidity. heat index ahhhh like 120…
Holy Toledo. You changed a wheel bearing in 20 minutes. That's how long it takes me to find the right tools. Another "I am impressed video".
"Say ello to my big nasty frend"
Avenger is junk but you can make junk new. Nice video
penetrating oil unsiezed a two stroke i have
Loved the Gold Member reference!
