I like fixing these sorts of problems. Of course, I also like dirtier jobs like suspension & steering & engine repairs but there is something quite satisfying about figuring out electrics and motors and gears and levers. Thanks!
Ray, you are too rough of these minivans. They are actually good automobiles. I have a 2013 Town and County with 270,000 on the clock. Best car I have ever owned, and I have owned many different makes.
Many mechanics don't care and get hand prints and oil all over your car.. . Brought my cadi in for tires and a oil change.. I just washed and waxed it.. Hand prints all over the fenders and oil dripped down the side.. I complain and a guy come out with a oily rag wanting to wipe it all over my paint.. I told him NO! Needless to say I never went back and sent in a complaint to corporate with photos.. They offered free oil change and discounts on work done.. It was a NO, from me..
This is why I hate unnecessary electric stuff in cars. It’s hard to fix, doesn’t age well and is stupid expensive to fix. I like powered locks and windows, but I’ll pass on a powered lift gate and such.
I'm a fairly new subscriber but have enjoyed watching all the vids. This intro was epic man! Keep em coming! I've been an auto technician for over 13 years and still love every minute of my job…i like it enough to watch guys like you fix cars on my days off lol. When you find your passion it's not really like work is it?? 😎 Glad I found your channel
Rag on and make fun of mini vans as you might but we have had several no real problems and find them very comfortable to drive very, and I can haul more staff in back than your new big pickups with your tiny 4 and 5 foot beds,,,, most folks ever owned one buy another heck we are in 70"s still own one, Shame they are getting phased out.
Great info! But I can't put it to use because I got rid of my Chrysler Corp minivan with this problem a couple of years ago. I can attest it's a common problem.
Where was the “ nice n shiny” after cleaning! I miss that.😂

Love the music track…let's have more like this…
Because opening a door by hand is so difficult.

I went up and down this same road with my neighbor's lift gate. They're complicated. It was great watching you troubleshoot it.
It won't be long before lots of parts will not be available. Take it from Cuba, they know how to make due with out parts.
Too much money or not a lot of sense…use your hands to open it ,lazy sod 🇬🇧
You should rename that flashlight to floor lamp since it spends a lot of time there!
Do you get paid for this work non work?
You really need a tripod.

First time I've actually seen how those things work. Very interesting.
M.O.P.A.R. = "Moments Of Power Are Rare"
"Over-engineered" brought to you by Mopar, etc., etc.
Change the radio station!!!
Most useless feature of modern day cars. How lazy must one be if one is not prepared to close the tailgate by hand.
What would we do without our air ratchets ??
Don’t know if you have a power probe but there excellent for electrical work!
WOW! Near starwars. Where is your light saber? Like the intro.
Isn't so much fun trying to figure out the engineers work, especially if the technology or mechanism is new design.
Oh, then repair it correctly.
In the beginning of the video, I had to pause it. I had to go grab some popcorn, coke and some Goobers to fully enjoy it.
Dodge Chrysler Plymouth Daimler Mopar Fiat Product. LOL @ this.
So basically the engineers got bored making oil changes difficult they are now trying to reinvent linear actuators.
Bahaha that fucken intro m8 had me chuckling all loud everyone asked what's up- being funny just got you 3 new subs😂

Loved the intro, keep them coming 👍

LMFAO!
Just like paradise😎

Junk yard part ??
I'd try to take the actuator apart. Sometimes it's an easy fix.
Another overly complicated car assembly.
I was almost expecting you to forget to disengage the gears and not be able to.close the tailgate afterward.
Damn I was really hoping to see the inside of that actuator
Looks like a completely unnecessary mechanism in the first place.
The intro is EPIC 😂🤣👍
Back when all rear hatches were manual we never experienced this issue

Should've gone full Ivan and opened up the actuator and see if you can clean the contacts inside with deoxit for the no parts required fix.
Your troubleshooting looks always so easy:) I like that!
30 second to mars playing on the background
cool and extensive intro!
👍🏼. Not a hack
I had to do a double take, I thought I had clicked on a Hollywood movie at first.
I'd turn nuts with that radio on all day.
Ray, you are so amazing! You are a Master Tech and your work is super awesome!

Chrysler crap😎
