The Caravan always had wonky sensors. Were prone to stick in low gear.
Precisely the reason my Dakota has a five speed manual.

The dealership I bought my pickup from told me that I had to replace my transmission so glad I was sceptical and seen your video they was going to charge me for a transmission and make a gigantic profit but thanks to your video I was able to find the sensor and replaced it my truck is fine now thanks again

I just had a rebuilt transmission put in my 06 Dodge Dakota slt 4×4 and when u come to a stop at the light and start to go the 1st time it shift hard do u think this could be whats causing it to shift hard?
Hi I have 03 Dodge Dakota 4.7 AWD 4×4 had the transmission rebuilt been having issues with hard shifting shop says nothing wrong and won't drop the pan to look could it be bad solenoid pack no codes it shifts up throws u back in ur seat when I let off the gas it gets clunky not sure if this is right place to post questions but running out of options lol

I recently was air to a 2001 5.9 Durango, a relative gave me. Worn down and battered. At first, it had a real bad vibration that went away on right hand turns. That was natural to my ears since I know what and how bearings blow out. I bought both sides because that is the way I roll. Then the power steering pump and system started howling. We know what that means. I ordered a new pump and pressure lines. I appreciate men or women that have this in their blood. You, my video friend, are gifted and please believe me. I leave you with gladness in my heart as my new but old dodge / cadilac. Your instruction is clear and to the very point in the matter. Most of today's automatic transmission issues are the valve bodies and those solenoids/springs/check balls/valves. Some folks will take their brand new vehicle over to a transmission service center and have a "shift kit" installed to correct the OEM faults that come brand new with vehicles. One brand, TransGo, does the research and offers OEM similar shift patterns yet the valve bodies are getting upgrades so they do not degrade to the point that they damage the other parts of the trans. Even on used cars, a shift kit could be an answer to restore a transmission into a better state so they will last a longer life.
This is obviously not the case in the video but could be considered something to do one short time in the future. I'd have to say, most shops or 80% of them, wouldn't have spent the time to put the meter on the sensor. One day, it will get them into trouble and they will have to scratch their heads awhile to get a correct diagnosis after making the wrong call.
Is there any possibility that the sensor is bad but it’s not throwing codes?

man I got a head-scratcher today I went and picked up a trailer backed up to it work just fine drove it home went to go back it up will not move in reverse it goes chunk when I put it in reverse but it will not move have you ever ran across that problem it is a 2002 burango

i just got a 98 dodge dakota n i don't know shit about cars. my truck is shifting hard into 2nd. supervisor at work said he had the same problem, and it was just a sensor. he said it was the throttle position sensor, but now i'm pretty sure he meant this one. thanks a lot!

Hi Eric I have a 2001 Dakota v6 auto 4×4. I went to change the speed sensor like this one. And it's not there. I have a screw in style I guess. Does the screw in style work the same
I can tell the vintage of your videos by checking the condition of the bill on your Jeep cap. Lots of repair jobs have been seen by that cap. Oh and BTW you are not allergic to work. I can tell you love your job by the care you take in your repairs.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm saying just ship the thing back out. Its a Dodge. A malfunctioning transmission is normal operation.
Remember back in the day when transmissions could shift using engine vacuum? Less stuff to burn out.
Im allergic to work as well… This sounds like an issue I'm having with my '05 Dakota 4×4…. It shifts REALLY hard going into over-drive… feels like the wheels lock up for a second.
