Yeah! There's lots of pretty pictures in those manuals too! I bet they pay someone to wash their clothes.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Luis Padua says:

If people would just read their owners manual a lot of internet forums would be empty. they much rather get dubious information from random people online that the people that designed the product in the first place. ordering a service manual isn't a bad idea either.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Hylton says:

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Richard Kingston says:

It's an LOF, and yet all I ever see is the OF part. Have grease nipples really gone the way of the dinosaurs?

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ken C says:

Lots of plastic on the underside of that Mazda; guess it keeps some of the road grime out of the engine compartment? Nice oil change.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrBowser909 says:

I work 8 hours a day doing oil changes and tire services just to watch this guy when I get home. Great vids man.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kevin Ray says:

People read the owner's manual (for anything). How dare they. 🙂

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kevin Ray says:

In all the years that I changed the oil in my own vehicles, I have never changed the washer (did not know it was supposed to be changed until recently). And I have never had a oil leak there (valve covers are another story).

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ian Grice says:

LMFAO, the beginning of this video is me in 9 out of 10 new cars I get in. 🤣

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Martin Naylor says:

Errrr, in one of your vids just recently you said Never lubricate the gasket on a oil filter with old engine oil. Brings contamination into new oil etc. When and why did you come to this decision?.
I have never ever used old engine oil on oil filter rubber gasket. Always used a finger full of fresh engine oil. Plus made seat clean on engine before screwing into place.
By the way lm nearly 70 yrs of age and been driving since l was 18 yrs old.🇬🇷

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bartosz Chucherko says:

What's concerning is that this was most likely this car's first oil change since it was purchased….. 🙁

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Angelico says:

Modern cars using 0W20 full syn oil. But you are in Florida, with a balmy climate, not in Japan where it snows in winter. Surely the manufacturer could specify a somewhat heavier grade like maybe 10W30 or 10W40?

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Angelico says:

That is a looooong dip-stick. You should save those for customers whose own dipstick doesn't reach their oil reservoir 🙂 The underbody plastic panels would make it more difficult to see fluids leaking to ground, which means they interfere with a customer's early warning system.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gary Head says:

You are an Edumacated man! You must have a B.S. degree in BS! 😄

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Macluvin65 says:

    Llr

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Erik Hägglund says:

First time I've seen something I feel worth reacting to: when using oil from the oilpan to lube the filter gasket… isn't there a slight risk that sludge or "debris" that was being flushed out with the old oil could end up in the new filter but on the "clean part" of the filter?
Great video as usual 🙂 What editor do you use?

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Squiggy G. says:

I got my moneys worth on this video

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars nomebear says:

About that owner's manual, a boy jumped out from behind a panel truck and in front of my car. The car came to a sudden and abrupt stop, as if it had suddenly fallen into a deep rut. A automatic braking system that I didn't know I had stopped the car missing the boy by yards.

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Vowell says:

    Perhaps your greatest work…

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars curt mazur says:

My favorite video so far just for the sarcasm

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bob Bruce says:

so complicated. i dont think i could ever be so precise on the tightness applied to the bolts or the amount of lubricating fluid down to the .001 of a quart! i will most def be leaving my oil changes to the pros! 😉

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Amaranthine1000 says:

That was the wrong color lubrication filtration device, should have been blue.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars the wizzard says:

That was very German of you. Well done! Shame it was a Japanese car.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Windysolar says:

try a plastic bag over the oil filer

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ronald Taylor says:

It would be cool to build into the navigation/ entertainment system would be to have it read codes when there are issues present. Make it so you have to access it by entering into a diagnostic mode so it could at least give the owner an idea of what is wrong. If they can make an OBD reader the size of a lighter they could do this an incorporate it into the computer system
    Just a thought…

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars George W says:

When my wife got her 2013 Chevy Sonic LT I told her she could no longer drive it till she had read the owner's manual. Boy did that owner's manual fly, at me. LOL.

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars james robison says:

you did not check for leaks of oil filter or oil plug baytown texas

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ilya says:

Punch a hole in the oil filter and let it drain before you remove it and you'll never make a mess again.
