, I have an oil leak to where you just changed out. My tire pressure senor switch is out too. It needs replaced too. At the chevy garage they wanted 400.00 to switches out all 4 sensor switches. They said they changed out the oil sensor switch. It kept leaking. They said in so many words that I needed all 4 done. Is this true. I do want the changed out But it's the 400.00 that's making me unhappy. If I can watch videos of how to change them out, I'll do it my self…
They already charged me $134.56 to change out the one oil switch, that didn't fix the oil leak.. Ty
Good video. Put some gloves on dude. Those chemicals including oil get absorbed through your skin.
Those switches are about useless. I had one go on an 01 Impala with no indication the oil was low. 🤦♂️
i changed my oil pressure switch, its still leaking and I have not idea where to start.
Where else could it leak that badly from?? Mine is as bad if not worse. And i can hear it leaking with the hood down now that the oil is gone (dont plan on starting it again till it has at least a qt lol)
Well as old as this video is, this was the oil leak problem on my 07 Chevy Impala. I could not find the oil leak, had the car on the jack to replace the outer tie rod, saw the oil leak coming from the oil filter. Thought the filter was loose, sine we just had the oil done. Nope.. Took the oil pressure sensor off had oil in the connector , replaced sensor. Thanks Eric O
Great vid. I've got an 06 impala with the 3.5 and sometimes I'll get a low engine oil message and recently it's been marking its spot in the parking spot. Hopefully that's it's only issue and it can keep on running
I developed a leak on my 3.5 somewhere above my starter…now I know where to look. Switch gets changed out with the oil tomorrow. This is a better problem to have than a seal/gasket. Thank you.

you took a lot of parts just to get to that and to know exactly where everything belongs you had to have real passion for that I'm afraid to have a mechanic dude that what you just did he might not put back the bolts back where they belong or even Twerk it the way you did

Glad I watch this video. Just replaced tranny pressure transducer switch on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 L V8 with transmission 45 RF. was wondering how to clean up the electrical connector. Thanks for showing the detail with the brake cleaner and air nozzle. The transmission fluid had been leaking through the pressure switch for some time before I found one single YouTube video about it. Says it is a common sensor failure, could result in a short circuit but did not show how to clean up the electrical connector. Well I broke the Locking tab trying to get it apart wonder how long it will hang on there? What's the best remedy? any suggestions? Pretty limited access

All car engines leak. Just check the parking spots in any shopping center parking lot. Your car did not make them all. Oh yes drive slower and less too. Ask yourself if this trip is truly necessary.

I have a 2004 Chevy Impala 3.8LV6 Series 2 engine leaking 5quartz of oil in less than a Minute 100ft of driving distance. Oil pressure switch located behind passenger side tire right next to oil filter. Hope it’s the right one & fixes problem

Had the same problem many years ago on a Ciroen CX Familiale Had to go to dealer, Transverse engine,switch between bulkhead and below manifold. gap about 1 inch wide, and 1 foot in from all sides. Spanner could not touch it,

I have seen lots of these fairly wet but never experienced oil flow out the connector!
I have a 2006 Impala LT with the 3.9L V6 that runs rough at idle. Removing any one of the front wires (2, 4, 6) from the plugs does not affect the rough idle (stays the same). I even removed all three wires (2, 4, 6) when it was off and it started up the same as if they were connected. I think it has to with Gm's Active Fuel Management (aka bad lifter). Can't find much repair info on-line, any help in pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
