No dejo yo mi coche en manos de ese, ni aunque me pague el a mi.

When busting those driveshaft bolts loose, were you saying "Come on you" or was it "Come on U"?
I'll show myself out.
That was NOT Bethoven
oh its a mighty big shaft🤣🤣
thats what she said 🤣🤣
Just want to say, loved the ending with the Moonlight Sonata. Love that song. Thank you.
I wanna know, how do you record your times working on a vehicle? I had a shop screw me on times because they'd go off of all data labor times and I'd get screwed.
The music in the background is my favorite game! I know most of the songs that play so I try to guess them before knowing for sure what it is
GOOoood JOB !
To repair universals without side keepers it take a socket put on the cap tap it down that will loosen up the keeper as well as the cap making it easier to remove keepers as well as the cap itself I'm speaking with the voice of experience enjoy your videos thank you very much
"this is gonna be a really good video"
Ray my friend all your videos are good what do you mean this one? but I get it lol I so enjoy your videos You’re humor and everything else that goes with it 😃
Glad I'm not the only one who has caps breaking when pushing them out ! I was always taught to centre the bearing with a mallet once its all together, hitting the yokes while holding the shaft, it frees up the whole UJ, simple trick that works really well. Keep up the great vids 👍
Just torch cut them out then you only have to knock the cups out without the back and forth stuff.
That was frustrating to watch.
You would have been done in half the time with a decent workbench and a vice.
So much movement in the hoist
Great Video!
love the phone thing lol
Keep a few pipes about 2 feet long in various sizes for that sort of issue.
the impact gun bought for the injector job still getting some good use!
I wonder what stops you from using a real hydraulic press and press ALL OF IT out and in without hamer? OMG!
I would rip off your nails without anesthetic for that violent baering instlation – hammering.
First I want to say, I really like your videos, I am by definition, a Armature Mechanic of 35 years standing.
And an Australian.
To hear an American talk about language/pronunciation/composition [verbs/nouns] sends me into gales of laughter ….
Drongo Bongo.
Bigger hammer needed!
an alternative to the press would also be the shrinking by cold from a co2 fire extinguisher by removing the funnel and spraying directly onto the part to be shrunk, also possible before putting on the new bearing
Im amazed by the absence of profanity.
And the "Struggle Bus" continues on it's route ! 🙂
I wish u would do a video of all your tools bet that would hit a million views
Lots of labor…..
you have to get the correct OETIKER clamp tool…ya don't use a cutting dyke
It's not a crimp connector, it's an OTEKER clamp
A typical pickup goof, wheels sticking out past wheel wells, to kick up crap to break windows in other vehicles,
Have a 1/2 ton ram 4wd and just had all that done to the drive shaft. It’s an 03 & from MI … my maintenance guys cry about the rust lol . Just hitting 60k miles. 3rd set of …. Shocks , breaks , tires . Second … tie rod ends , upper lower ball joints and three u joints and one carrier plus lowering of fuel tank for fuel pump assembly. 4th battery, damn Florida and it’s heat and Uvs. Second serpentine belt. Switch to synthetic oil and filter, a move to an K&N air filter. Second set of hood struts . As well fluid changes and what not plus a linkage replaced to the transfer case, as well front and real seals to the rear end. Ppl actually ring my doorbell and toss an offer of 4K and that happens often. As well it’s a crew cab with an 8 foot bed. You know one of those trucks that can actually move standard lumber as we’ll groceries. All things aside…… all those little things you do and the let’s just replace this while I have it all apart. If the customer could just realize to come back later and pay all that labor for a gasket, o ring or sensor I think they would say just replace it. Sorry nothing more satisfying then watching the magic of break cleaner making everything nice and shiny lol. If I were to loose my truck guy, I would transport her to you for the simple fact I would be getting what I’m paying for and more. A straight to the nuts cut mechanic who dosent push shit and understands his or hers job is pretty rare. Hats off to you sir.
That sound you make every time the phone rings, on every video, is definitely annoying
Yup – just what I thought. I am glad I never pursued a career as an auto mechanic.
Daily goal: don't die at work.
Stretch goal: Achieve immortality.
Ray, do you guys not have bench vices ? I've always squeezed the new ones in and not take a chance of dislodging a bearing. It definitely won't go together if one sideways in the cap.
Air hammer versus needle bearing pretty funny
Why haven't you marked the couplings to make sure they go back the same way as they are balanced
i would have used more spray let it soak a couple min before trying to remove the clips
good work
Remind me not to lend you any screw drivers 😯
I hate doing u-joints,especially the way you’re doing them. I’ve had to do exactly that way. It’s best to have a good table and bench vice although it’s not always available in the field, your shop should be equipped with such. Not criticizing, I enjoy watching you work and I learn from you. I’m a 50’s year young farmer that’s had to do a few. I prefer pump power unit drivelines at my age. Crawling under trucks is for men your age. Thanks for the quality content and much love from your neighbor in Hardee county.
Need time installing the boot try used elec lube, might slip on more ease ? not sure if will work . but work on elec. lines going through tubing that run underground.
i love watching you lube and manhandle a big heavy shaft 😂
What cheap U joints to not have a grease fitting.
freeze the shaft and the bearing will go on really easy.
I remember being entranced by a fellow pupil, playing Moonlight Sonata. Now I've seen it all!
Dude really put Beethoven in there 😀
This is how to destroy a bearing. You need the correct tool for mounting bearings
Put a thrust washer between the cap driver and the cap, spread the force out over a larger area. Find some washer with a similar O.D. to fit on the yoke, but I.D. smaller than the screw post.
Beethoven just called – he claims Intellectual Property on your speed fast fast music.
Worked in driveshaft shop for years, use
your hydraulic press to remove u joints.
Will save you lots of time.
Worst u joint I ever did was on a windstar(RWD Van). The shaft and the yoke was aluminium. No matter what tool I used or heat the joint would not come out. Wound up getting a used shaft
