This video as pt 2 of 2. The reason that I made a second video on this job is because I did most of this one in time lapse. If you would like to see the real time brake job on the drivers side plece click here for Pt 1. https://youtu.be/lVPrXuYqaCM

Nice brake assemblies on the Infiniti. Not like the schlock GM brakes that fade early & fade fast! I knew I was done with GM when I looked at a Caddy XTS which had Brembo brakes on the front & GM pathetic, puny, brakes on the rear. Why wouldn't they put Brembo front & rear? Because they are cheap bastards!

    Ray, Lamborghini….

A guy I used to know specialized in BMW's back in the 80's- 90's. He loved front pad replacements on those because they were so easy. Pry caliper back, pull 2 clops, pull 2 pins, lift pads out, reverse to reassemble; a 5-6 minute job if you went fast. Then he billed a premium price because people expected to pay more just because it was a BMW 🤣 He also used organic pads because the recommended semi-metallic pads tended to squeak which the customers complained about while the cheap ones didn't. Oh the tales I could tell… But I learned that most of the people who own overpriced cars like that in the first place are the most clueless and the most gullible of all in the automotive world, the opposite of what you'd think 🙃

How the heck am I supposed to justify spending hours on You Tube when my wife sees you can do a brake job in 5 minutes? What have you got against old retired men?

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kevin Ford says:

Oh, everything started relatively clean and without rust. I love it when that happens.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hey, whats up? says:

The rotors are not directional on the G37, they use straight vein rotors, they can go on whichever way you choose. The stickers are on some aftermarket rotors for consistency when installing, so you don't have the slots going 2 different directions on one side. Some manufacturers actually state this as well.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Adam Freeman says:

You sir have a good voice. I have watch other videos and I stopped it when I dislike the person's voice, Its not their fault. When you said enjoy the music, thanks you.
I don't mind listening to you give good feedback on the work being done. A+ sound effects are cool

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Smoth says:

What was wrong with the rotors that were already on the car?

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars damnusename says:

    Nice tunes

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charlie Tate says:

Are infinity's anything like Audi's? As in, do the rear brake caliper Pistons spin in and out, Instead of pressing in and out?

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars RV Shadow says:

I don't know why people use drilled and slotted rotors for passenger cars. Are they taking them to the track on the weekends?

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Martin F says:

At 1.20 what is the name of the tool at the end of the drill that you use to clean the hub ?

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars david318is says:

Was that the music from Age of Empires?

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Aqua Peet says:

Of course a job isn't done for us until we see you do the other side, film fitting the wheels, film the test drive, film parking it in the lot, call the customer, film the customer drive away, film following the customer home, stalk and film the customer for weeks, film getting arrested by the police while screaming at the customer "does it stil drive and break well??"

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars wayne p says:

Had a customer that drove the heck out of his 92 cavalier convertable. Brakes every 4 months. I kept the used rotors separate and turned them. The he could race in. Swap freshly turned rotors and new pads in minutes.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Marc Crotty says:

There was no indication that the hub was refinished before installing new rotor. Possible run out problem.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Chow says:

Let’s get this right: RAY fixes . Doesn’t do car reviews well. That’s Sarah n Tuned. 😂🤣😂🤣. Great info on the SSR. I think the Prowler was more interesting lol

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Grantley Hughes says:

Infinity failed in Australia. Another brand trying to be Mercedes who weren't close, but tried at a price point the same as Lexus. So Aussies bought a Lexus or Mercedes.

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bill Boy says:

Good job but you could have just cut the brake lines and the vibration problem would have been solved.
Really tho, I never knew some cars have specified rotors for each spot. I never owned a high-end car so I guess that’s why. I drive Silverado 1500, not a high-end car but very expensive anyway.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry E. Hamby says:
