HI Eric! I have watched so many of your videos I feel like we are related LOL. Being a tech guy, I appreciate your attention to detail on everything that you do. I also appreciate the tips and tricks that you provide that helps us back yard mechanics. I wish I had even a small amount of your camera skills. I highly doubt you will ever need help with your computer, I imagine you are well versed in that field as well, but if you ever have any questions please visit my channel, or send me an email. Thank You for creating this channel as I use it for most all automotive needs. Would definitely like to see an upper and lower ball joint video for 2005 silverado as I am restoring my old truck. Anyway Happy Sunday!! Thanks Again, you are the best!! ๐
Just scared up a 700 dollar set of hammers
I would feel guilty also I looked at that set of hammers a while ago and the price almost knocked my boots off but it's the only set you would need for life
I bought the 3/8 nano impact several months ago and it's one of the best impacts on the market I'm buying the 1/4 impact rachet that you use next because 1/4 is the first thing I grab unless it's big stuff like balljoint etc.
I bought an OEM 1/2 drive battery impact gun at the pawn shop 2 weeks ago got the complete set up for 45 dollars and it surprised me I've tried it on everything and amazing it not only does lug nuts but it removes and installs ball joints so I'm glad I brought it I won't use it on every balljoint job I just tested it and it takes driveshaft bolts out with ease you know they have locktite the entire length I would recommend OEM to anyone now
I work on these in the south so i guess take it with a grain of salt but i have changed these uppers and lower bjs with the hub and axel still together. What made you take it all apart?
Good work as always Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Beautiful brass punches and chisels and Hammers From Brooks Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Lmfao that does sound like a Bar the old Rusty Nipple ๐ Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
I have never seen a Ford front hub slide off that easily. It usually requires a 6 pound hammer, a pry bar and an air chisel. And the dust shield will be destroyed. Anyone owning a Ford 4 wheel drive built in the last 15 years will get plenty of experience replacing steering components and brakes.
Is using a torch a bad idea if you have an oil leak and thereโs oil everywhere? Curse of the 7.3 ๐
On a 2wd, do you need to take out the bearing and axle to replace the tie rods?
First day?
I have always wondered… know I know
Whst size is the big pickle fork?
Hola saludos de Perรบ
More one of the best vedeos you have ๐๐ great explanation all the time ๐๐ I enjoying see your vedeos because it's really real ๐๐๐ and we can see how hard is this crap work ๐ช๐ of course you have a correct tools for making that caind of the work ๐๐ you know or anyone knows about how much costs this type of the work in normal workshops?? Replaced a all 4ball joints on F250,350 or excursiรณn?? Here in Norway costs about $3400 or $3600 is a expensive replacement ๐ค

Hand made in the USA, Chinese sourced materials are 100% nice!!!
The passenger side comes apart pretty easy if you lift up the bottom of the tie rod stud with a floor jack, then strike the knuckle between the two rod ends.
You have this far saved me $1400.00. I am ready to press em out and watching part two. My first experience with this by the way and this video rocks!
my nipples are rusty
Those brooks USA. Hammers are gorgeous
Un momento lol, love your vids
Tanks fur da video! I had to do upper and lower ball joints as well as bearings and all steering components on my 2010 F350 Soopa Duty 4×4 and this video helped greatly. Lots of labor and special tools.
You have a great way about you and you do awesome videos that are informative and enjoyable to watch. Thanks for taking the time to educate knuckleheads like myself. Your final motivational comment in the video was what pushed me over the edge and encouraged me to try to do It on the ground, in the winter on Cape Cod without all the correct tools. I may regret the decision.
Would this work on a 2015 Ford F-350 6.7 dually?
Monkey like shiny.
Brooks. For when you want to get hammered.
Love the metic system comment. 62 years old and still have to think what 8th 16th 32nd is… Well forget it…
I wish I had a use to justify the 700$ for those hammers. Because they are beautiful.
What size are those bolts behind the knuckle?
Thanks Eric. I saved this playlist to my Favourite.
You joke about the torch but I bet you weren't laughing when you burnt the viewfinder ๐
Great video!
What year?
Is it just me or does it seem like ole eric is making indui dos
Smack that knuckle! Like you did the upper.
Un momento๐
I remember my first day. You'll get the hang of it. Lol!
Lol! Just finished the same. Lol! 22.. 21. 15/16 sockets everywhere!! Wtf! Great video. The best! What do you feed them damn forearms?? Jeesh.
Why not a tie rod splitter??????
That's it Eric, you show that cotter pins who's boss!
South Main, build a magnetic mount base for your ๐ท camera's.
Tec tip from a 50 year ford tec.
All you have to do release the tie rod ends from the nuckle is to tap on the center boss between the two ends with a small dead blow hammer.
The bottom joint will just drop off then reinstall the castell nut and gently tap up DONE
Good video's
are you still using harbor freight impact,mr. O?
Laughing my ass OFT you are freaking hilarious brother! That was epic!
" Rusty Nipple " would be a good name for a punk band too ๐
