    Awesome series!!

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Johnny Sechrist says:

I've always used fuel line to start spark plugs.

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ford Resurrectionest says:

    Those plugs are fake NGKs.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DANA LEE says:

Is there a reason why you don’t lube the threads up alittle on the plugs ?

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jason Lyle says:

My 96 has 300k miles, I drive it regularly and no rust. Great little truck.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Trolling 4 Dollars says:

Shade tree tip: When replacing plugs and wires, save one of the wires, cut off most of the wire, and use the old spark plug boot to install the new plugs.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ugh3012 says:

Watching all three parts makes me want to buy a Ranger just so I can do this.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Faner says:

I was taught to do them one at a time so you know where the plug wires go

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sean McGuirk says:

Anothwe great thorough video. I would have taken the bags of garbage in the back and drop them off on the way. Just sayin', for
Mrs. O's sake. Enjoyed the town mini tour, too.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 72xafalcon says:

Ford ranger, made in America, powered by Mazda, good video though

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars richard brewsterrick says:

I spray a little WD40 in the plug boot so it slides in better over the plug to help it lock on the plug

Great hint with the tape over the rear brake pads and the burnishing!

The back two on the 6 are a real pain.

Wanted to share with you and your viewers .
Best ratcheting wrenches I have found are made by mountain double end ratcheting wrenches.
    Around $125. on eBay.
    I would definitely recommend.

Bring your jeep out to king of the hammers week. A lot of nice fourwheeling!

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars OWL says:

I love the Ranger. I can actually hear the engine grumble and the truck move under my ass when I'm driving it. Those Japonica trucks drive like cozy cars. The Jay's just don't know what an American truck is about.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars BUZ1952 Z says:

    Great video.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Openheimer says:

The famous reindeers on the shelf in the office.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Randy Leonard says:

Just to change the air filter, they designed all that on top of it? Including the lock tab facing down… Why why why why. Hey Tommy, i got an idea…lets run the AC line OVER it..good thinking Brian!

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Wheeland Sr says:

Well Mr O I've been watching you quite awhile now and if I lived closer you would be my mechanic love your work, from Montoursville Pennsylvania

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars SS Man2003 says:

    Again,it’s 2am and I can’t stop watching!

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Wheeler says:

Parking brake tip: When you set them, give 'em the beans. More than once I've started driving my wife's car and she'll tell me "The parking brake is on." I shouldn't have been able to move it – a good way to burn them out without knowing it.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Papa Jon says:

I always add a daub of anti-seize to the spark plug threads to prevent the 'crack' from rust when taking them out.  -just sayin'…

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 2dfx says:

If only all car owners cared that much about the maintenance of their car. Were those brakes and plugs in the worst shape? Not really. But proactive maintenance like that will keep that thing on the road for man years to come.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars azza in this day and age says:

nice little tour of the place, looks like a sweet slice of americana. well done, per usual! cheers

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Richard Bambenek says:

Eric, you make everything look so EZ. It sounds like the NY car inspection is a ball buster. They check way more stuff than you do here in Missouri

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Invisible Energy says:

i god have done one video on this

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Harper says:

Help a friend change plugs on ford ranger 2 plugs per cylinder, what a royal pain

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Harriette Daisy says:

I wish I could get my 92 f-150 up to you to work on. Took the local shop to 6 weeks to figure out it had the wrong computer in it.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars _RiskJr_ says:

I'd have to say that the 2.3 lima with the 8 plugs is worse than the duratec 23 engine like this. If you've done it you know about the back number 4 exhaust and intake plugs… dreadful.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nicholas Barnes says:

Something to try… called Ed’s Red- equal parts. ATF, Mineral Spirits, K1 Kerosene, Acetone

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Garrett Stevensen says:

There is a high level scan tool that gives color coded diagnostic results (red bad, yellow needs attention, green is good). Scotty Kilmer and others talk about it, but do not give specifics on make/model of scan tool. Do you know which one it is? Autel? It's not a simple code reader, but compares vehicle PIDs to average vehicle PIDs to tell you problems before codes are triggered.

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Geoff Morgan says:

21st Century electrical connections: Once you determine how the clip or retainer works the clip or retainer is already broken! How 'bout a little Neverseez on those plugs, I know – not on the electrode or anywhere close. I have seen a lot of stripped aluminum heads perpetrated by spark plug threads. I prefer the high temperature nickel stuff, but it costs like hell.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Amini says:

Love your channel man! I'm a mechanic here in the south and we dont see a lot of rust. I'm always scratching my head when I see a vehicle from up north how you guys work on that stuff is amazing. Quick question though, where did you get that CV axle press that I've seen you use from time to time?

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars marcuswhonea says:

check out the Kensington Microsoft Surface Pro Rugged Case for your Surface Pro. They are super fragile and replacing the glass is almost impossible, this case protects the corners and allows you to use the keyboard like normal.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars kd9bwi says:

MAP code C on cooling system! Notate low level and suggest “pressure test” to look for cooling system leak. It’s a newer ford, most likely the thermostat housing, but old enough to likely be the radiator.

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars M H says:

What is the pliers that you used to pull the plug wires off the plugs? That thing looks totally invaluable!

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Yumpin Yiminy says:

    Hi Eric,
I know you can't answer every comment but could you do a video on Toyota's TPMS sensors. As stupid as this sounds, I can't find a tire shop that can program the new codes #'s into the car's computer. I hear other mfg's are also pretty anal about this and go out of their way to make this a nightmare for non-dealer shops. What a cash cow!!!

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Patrick Madigan says:

    Mrs. O is cute… =) Lucky guy… =)

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bamm-Bamm says:

Eric, why cant you live here in Leavenworth Washington? I sure could use a real mechanic and not a bunch of part changers. I have a 2001 blazer 2dr 5speed 4×4 with the 4.3 in it. Nobody can fix it Lol.

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jason Ledbetter says:

Ordered some sweet SMA Swag, just meow. Can't wait to rep the channel, here in Dayton, OH!!.
    SMA fan for life!
Definitely the best content of ANY auto diagnostic/repair channel on "the Youtube"…..HANDS DOWN!!….(and around town).😂
Keep up the great work, Eric!!
From my family to yours,..we wish you all the best!

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars BronzeChicken says:

In my case, I relieved the fuel pressure on my 2000 Explorer as shown online, and I still got a bath. I suppose that what appeared to be factory at 272K miles was a bit clogged up because the output had no pressure but the 65 PSI was holding steady on the input side. That explains my hesitation.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Roger Lund says:

Kind of sad to say but Ford has been using that 2.3 l to various levels of success or unsuccess whichever it may be. I had a 1974 Ford Mustang 2. Which is basically a different body on a pinto chassis. That's how for got so far behind in selling trucks. They use the same engine that was underpowered for so many years and tried to give it a little poke here and there but it never really did have the torque of the Toyotas., sad when you think about it

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brad says:

Question::: I imagine someone has asked this before but I cannot find anything… I'm curious to know the make and model of your air compressor. Thanks.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jeremy Menchaca says:

So, you don't mind if someone buys their own parts?

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars GARY BRYANTON says:

great videos as always Eric only i don't see you use any respiratory protection when cleaning up caliper mounting points and hubs . A little mask would show if there is a valid concern. Just thinking of your safety and want those videos to be around for a long time if you get my meaning.
