Couldn't you use intake manifold/ carb cleaner spray all throughout that plenum. Spray-in let it pour out the other side

where can i buy that brake cleaner that makes that real neat noise? i love that clanging bell/orchestral clash noise….my brake cleaner doesn't do that and i think maybe i've been cheated by the store
Fuel injection is good as well as high voltage capacitor ignition. After that the additions are defication. Especially their 33 speed transmissions. All big tech nonsense.
If you go back to the 60's and70s none of this crap would be necessary if it weren't for the EPA. Just take the engine apart and fix it.

Those are the ones where your wealth of experience and rock solid diagnostic proceedures shine through. Don't get me wrong, I like the nuts and bolts ones as well. Always interesting all the methods of dealing with crazy levels of corrosion on fasteners.

I had a 97 Taraus that blew out a frost plug on the firewall side of the engine as I was passing a dump truck. The plug was a temporary style like that of a frost plug heater. Could it have done that from a leaky head gasket?

I'm curious as to why you would put new spark plugs in that rear bank, since you had the intake off, since the expense is not a big deal….or am I on overkill?
A little tip on the EGR: if you spray a little diet 7up on it before you hook it back up, the heat from the engine will dry it off and have no affect on it whatsoever. I havent tried regular 7up so youre on your own there.

Be mindful Eric, EGR:s are one of the gateway valves, if your not careful you'll end up sucking on fuel valves and whatnot and after that it's all downhill…
Tell MRS. O that you will take her shopping if she will come on camera more often. Then you will find just how much she dislikes the camera. No new clothes = hates camera. New clothes = hates camera but worth it for new clothes. If she gets new clothes it's a win, win, win. She wins, you will, and your channel wins.

Now whenever you do a job like that, after you fix all the leaks and put it back together, would it be a good thing to have your battery disconnected the whole time so when you start it back up it starts with clean memory and fuel trims? Or is it better to leave all the old info in the ecm so you can see the trims getting better? ??
I enjoy the diagnostic stuff. I cause me to think logically and mechanically.
What's to complain about? Tool box tour, brake clean, side tour on a Nissan and an intake vacuum leak repair!
