That is not a 1967 Shelby GT500. That is a customized 1967 Mustang fastback. I had both a 67 GT 350 and a GT500. This car has none of the Shelby attributes.

Hey, thanks for showing the glitter of SEMA. Most of us don't get to see it like this. That first Mustang, if that started out as a Shelby, because it's no longer a Shelby. I agree about that blue one, much better looking.

Ray I've been going to SEMA for twenty years. Living in Phoenix it's only a 4 1/2 hour drive from home. The first time I was there I was like you are: simply overwhelmed. Now, I don't even see the cars, they're invisible to me. I go to meet my friends in the industry and renew friendships and check out new tools. I'm into spray guns so I wanted to get my hands on the new Iwata SuperNova Series 2 spray guns which they've just released. Yea, I guess I'm jaded. Seen one show car you've seen them all is how you eventually look at it. The sole exception might be Chip Foose's stuff that typically is really elegant and understated. Chip by the way is the nicest man in the world. Totally a class act. In ten years I wonder if there will even be a SEMA. This years show was 1/2 the size of the last one before the pandemic three years ago. With electric being the future who's going to need headers for their Tesla.
