Hello there
Yes I would like to know what app did you used to unlock 2095 Chevy Trailblazer. I order a replacement radio from E-bay but if I can keep looking for the radio that I took out replace the original radio back take out aftermarket?
I'm calling from Houston TX
easier to just pull the chip
Thanks for the tip bro.. Had to do a salvage swap on my 02 cavalier and used my shops Matco scan tool to unlock the radio. Good thing i still have the original RPO codes in the trunk.. Now i can jam out to some Avenge Sevenfold on the way home !..!,
Eric in my Jeep Grand Cherokee which is a 1999 if I want to switch to the 2004 navigation radio I know I'm going to have a radio recognition problem how is that done on a Jeep Grand Cherokee if you can please let me or others know out there that have Chrysler products that need similar operations done I'd really like to know how it's done thank you as always great videos .
What tje hell is an alltel?
useless
Where u located
I got a 2007 chevyTrailblazer that did same thing, can't afford a scanner, any other way to unlock the cdplayer, my cd player is just like that one
Typical GM….holding your radio hostage
What good is unlocking the radio with the autel if it doesn't give you the unlock code? When that car battery dies, the radio will loc.
Well now make sure when u take key out and back in it still works
That’s great if you have 1200-2500 dollar computer to fix 25-50 wrecker radio
Honestly wasteful video
Can you do this with a 2015 GMC radio? with 7" screen?
hey which scan tool do you have?
How do I do it without an expensive scanner, or can I borrow yours, or just come by?
How much cost this
You could get a light bulb to light up the display properly.
can you give me information of the scan tool you using, i mean the odb diagnostic scanner
what kind of after market radio would work?we dont have that $$$$$$ computer.thought you were smart,to help us
Which Autel did you use
Well thanks man, what happens if we don't have a fancy code reader like yours? Need info on unlocking without a reader.
Around 2003 and later, the brand new GM radio eprom chip is blank, once the vehicle is turned on for the first time at the factory, the BCM(body control module) finds the radio, its then programed to the VIN# of the vehicle, therefore "locking" it to that vehicle only. The "data bus" connection to the radio verifies the radio at every vehicle startup and allows it to turn on only if the feedback info from the eprom chip is correct. These high dollar scanners, as seen in this video, can actualy reset the eprom chip back to zero VIN, so when the radio gets installed into a different GM vehicle, within a set number of years of course, along with similar radio wiring connections, once again, the BCM comes into play and reprograms the radio for that vehicle.
Oh good its called "have a 5000$ scan tool" thanks scotty kilmer
Okay, so for anyone who doesn't have a $700 – $3000 scan tool and has a factory Delco radio that are in all sorts of different GM vehicles, you can call and get the code to unlock it. You don't have to talk to anyone, it's automated, and this all takes 5 minutes to do.
To do that, you need to get the 4 or 6 unlocking digits by hitting the number 2 & 3 preset buttons at the same time (which will show you 2 or 3 digits on the display) and then hit the AM/FM button (gives another 2 or 3 digits). Make sure to write those down and you should now have the 4 or 6 digits you need.
Now, call GM's automated dealer hotline for Delco radios (1-800-537-5140) and input one of the following five dealer codes, followed by the star key, until one of them is accepted – 620529, 139010, 106010, 206053, 202108. When the automated line accepts one of those codes, just enter the codes you got on the stereo screen earlier, followed by the star key, and then the automated line will give you a 4 digit number back.
At this point you just need to enter that code into the stereo. To input the code, use the 'Hr' and 'Min' buttons for the clock. Input the digits from right to left starting with minutes and then hours, and then hit the AM/FM button. Radio should say "Sec" on the screen, which means 'secure'.
Finally, just hit the power button, and the radio should now be back to functioning like normal. Hope this method helps for those who don't have a good scan tool.
Seems autel took this out of there scanners tried on a 05 envoy today was not an option to unlock radio anymore
Would an aftermarket radio need to be unlocked?
This is all great and good but how does a normal person without that fancy tablet fix their own car because there isn't a SINGLE video on here that showed her how to take the working stock stereo out so she could upgrade to a nice Sony touch screen without locking down the entire stereo setup?!!!!!!!! I am so frustrated, I even tried reinstalling the stock stereo and it still won't work
I couldn't find an independent mechanic who had the Autel software for GM. I did find that for $40 for a one time use, a mechanic with a compatible Autel could do what this guy did. You need to find a mechanic or body shop who will do this. I finally paid the GM dealer $257.55 (including taxes) for unlocking. That was $75 for diagnosis and $130 for unlocking – plus shop charges and taxes. Good luck finding an independent shop willing to spend the time with this Autel solution.
What computer did u use and model
So I just bought a radio.
I guess my solution is to take it to my local shop next time I get an oil change and just ask them to reprogram it for me. Easy fix, but it would've been better if I could just do the "Press 2 & 3" cheat like the older radios could.
Out of curiosity I tried this w/ a Launch as well. It has a radio section but not a setup option. The Launch does have a few shortcomings but as a backyard mech it was still a good investment though. Alternative is to either pull the lock chip out or if you have a hot air station swapping them should work too to avoid the "config error" msg.
How about hummer h3 radio code I need a help 🙏🙏🙏
Both i have autel 908 pro
Pls how can i reprogramming Cadillac CTS 4 pcm manually please help me
I don't have one of those nice computers you have and after reading some of the results of clearing the lock on a 2007 Cadillac Escalade I'm afraid to take it to a dealer after replacing my radio and CD player. Cadillac on one occasion that I read about bricked the radio and won't take responsibility. Too bad your garage isn't close to where I live.
good-job
Have a question about the Autel 908. It can unlock radios, can it also program the PK3 systems? Considering getting one of these units. Can you possibly go into what you do like and not like about this particular unit? Other features?
Which model Autel do you have? I would love to unlock an OEM radio in my POS Trailblazer
I went to my independent mechanic and he did it in a couple of minutes and FREE, since I am a repeat customer !!!!!
Got the machine. I couldn’t unlock a single radio. I tried on a 07 Escalade, 11 Tahoe, 08 Silverado and 09 Yukon. Super disappointed!
Is that the maxysis pro or elite thats your using?
it's really great bro! i currently use this service UNLOCKBRO COM
100% unlock
You didn't show us a damn thing that helps other than get an expensive computer to fix salvage radio
any idea what causes securty light to come on when aftermarket stereo with amp and sub gets turned up to to a louder volume level? thanks in adavance!
Thanks for not showing us how you unlock the damn radio!!
