Ok so the other day I went scrolling through the comments sections. I found viewers were asking me if I had a "Tip Jar", I've never worked for tips before so I never occurred to me. I created a Patreon account after some consideration. I feel that the Patreon community would be an excellent resource to improve and grow the content and community here on youtube. Messing them nuts right up
….
Well done! Bravo.
Great job Ray a gentleman and a scholar, I wonder how many shops would have just said replace the parts as per the work order to make to profit on the labour charges ??
Think we better start calling you honest ray ! Well done ray
that was awesome u saved the customer from spending money, and not waisting your time😁
Your the best mechanic I have ever seen. Keep up the good work
Love ya work. Give us more odd customer interactions and feedback and stories of customer drama
The Spanish Music in Background would have to Go if I worked in that Shop, Oldies but Goldies or Blues would be my Favorite…
You’re a good man Charlie Brown
Honest men are hard to find be proud of yourself bro
Ray is a great person and a good honest mechanic. 👍 have a great day Ray🤝
If we were in sthe same state i would drive across state to have you as my mechanic.
why dont you get a head mount for the camera? then you have both hands free!
One of the few last honest mechanics , although I hope there are more honst mechanics than dishonest ones .
Remember just bc it’s shiny doesn’t mean it’s good
Hey Ray, nice save man. I know customers appreciate the honesty and sincerity of a mechanic not trying to take their hard earned money. Just one question. It's probably not necessary but you didn't show work testing the condenser for leaks. It is the high side and you did pull the vacuum indicating that there were no more leaks. Yet you still tested everything else. Leak checking is typically the first thing you do on a AC inspection.
They don’t make them like Rainman Ray anymore
Ultimately, you work for the company, they are your boss. Integrity is so important or else how can you live with yourself. Clients do appreciate the honesty, even though they don't want to hear it…let them decide. Being that you saved that customer $1500, that person will keep coming back asking for you to service their vehicle.
I’m curious what the customer response was.
An honest mechanic? Can you come to Australia and work on my Holden?
Report that service writer
that's much more betterer
Ohh my God my eyeballs is burning.
I use dark mode exclusively across all my devices and PC'S God damn it the contrast turned up to 11 on this video is borderline unbearable.
Liked and Positive comment for the YouTube algorithm
wish you would work on my car lol but Im in Australia 😏
Tri floro ethane those sniffers are finicky…please…good evap seems great….
At least you realized that TXV bolt wasnt tight. Otherwise the "Reeee's" would have come at ya. Good job as always Ray. Keep em coming….
You are the man ray honesty and integrity is gone in this country but you sir are one of a kind
"I'm not the original guy that looked at this, he's not around anymore."
Gee, wonder why?
I used to own one of those ac comp shredded and blew it into the cond. I flushed it and replaced cond and comp and txv still wouldn’t work. So I put another comp in it. Finally traded it in. Acted like the evap was clogged To me. I’m an ac guy but not on cars lol
All the shop really lost was the billed time necessary to install the compressor and condenser. What they gained was a very happy customer who will certainly deliver $1200 worth of positive advertising and loyalty.
You forgot to tell siri to convert to fluid ounces not weight.
I would like to hear about what your customers say when you save them that much money because are they now loyal customers and come there for all repairs??
Wouldn't surprise me if it needed that w those miles, I've seen Hyundis with problems with low miles
Youre a good man Ray , not to mention an ace mechanic
Integrity is the biggest asset to a decent tech. Well done dude. Good job xxxxxx
Did you have a Christian upbringing by any chance or from whom did you learn to be honest?
Good work and honest. A credit Ray 👍🏻
Integrity and humility…. We need that from the mek-a-nicks these days. Great job Ray. Coming to a city near me? That’d be awesome. “Click” “gravitity” and “doo da doo da doo”!
Needs a compressor my ass! INTEGRITY 👍
A Honest mechanic is about as rare as an honest cop, great job.

Very good young man! You’re either committing a sin or not! You cannot be just a little honest……..You improved my opinion of humanity somewhat.
You are doing a fantastic and amazing jobs on YouTube.. from UK.
Cool!
Your and the shop may have deferred immediate fees, but you gained a grateful REPEAT client and I’m sure they
told all their friends and family. As you know, repeat business and great word of mouth praise has saved businesses even during a
Pandemic.
Good Job! You can sleep well with a clear conscience. Wish I was in your area
