Looks like some bad engineering. My Chevy Express van has similar issues. My Tacoma has round drain holes on the bottom of the doors every 6-8 inches or so.
The first thing I do to all my new fords is pull out those stupid plastic or oval things above the drain….. plus every time I was my cars I always clean the door jams as well….
Is there a permanent fix to this? My friend has the same issue. We live in the northwest so rain is a constant here. He once took off the inner door panel to diagnose and it was a fish aquarium inside the door cavity. Pressure washing does not work. He does not have an air compressor, and those compressed air cans you get for computer cleaning does not always work (not enough pressure).
Did you do the other door?
Gonna repeat a sub-comment. Ford actually has a recall notice for this issue on some 2017 models. I don't know what their fix is.
Dang it Ray, would you quit filming videos that make me have to pee! 🚽
Lol, this customer is coming back with his next complain: 'I Have NO coolant at all :P' lol. Or "My door is running hot" 🙂
Do you live in a rain forest?
I like easy fixes like this.
My ‘10 Ford F-150 has the same issue. You get use to the swishing after a while.

Happens to my 2500HD back doors all the time too. Yep, just blow out the clogged drains…

It's a feature
(For a manufacturer, of course, for the door to rust sooner)
Well.. on the flipside of this is that the truck body is aluminum, so lowers the chances of rust. Juuuust not the other parts.
