In this video we finish up the CRV by replacing the front brake pads and rotors. It also needs the front brake calipers replaced. Stick around for the next video as we take the vehicle down to get the alignment done and ship it down the road. -Enjoy!

Great video! Thanks for the help.
Excellent video!! Thanks for your detailed explanations and great audio/video quality! Please keep giving us DIY'ers your opinions on parts manufacturers.
Fantastic video!
Awesome… thank you 🙂
Speaking of flat tires, my mother in law had a tire that was loosing air and my father in law (who was a builder) would say to her "what are you doing, cruisin' the job sites?"
Great Lessons
Thanks for putting your skills out there.
“If I can do it, you can do it!” You just got yourself a subscriber. Will be using the knowledge you shared in this video this weekend to change out my GF rear brakes on her 2003 Honda CRV. Starting with the valve stems.
The tire thing is because you know when your driving your ride the exact moment you get the nail like sonova… i knew i shouldnt have cams sdown this road
LMAO "torquing the bolts to factory specs."
What kind of angle grinder your using?
Eric, it finally hit me, you sound like Jay Leno when you talk.
I Conduit !
My god look at the rust
Do you get the oil resdue off new rotors
Be nice times O. She's right . You are funny
Great video very helpful
Thanks for the great tips: valve stem on the banjo, and the spacer rag between the pads. Made the job much easier!
Great helpful tips.
Have you seen a 2015 cr v with only one rotor screw?
Keep up the good work. Love the comedy & expertise!
I dont know why but I love SMA brake job videos lol. And that rag trick blew my mind. Learned something new!
Great vid — thanks. So we have a 2011 CRV AWD EX. I noticed what looks like some sort of hollow round-form gasket bulging out from the DS front rotor — it's in a groove where the hub is cast onto the disk.
Any idea what this is?
too bad you didn't replace brake hose that's what I need a video on.
"Break clean isn't necessary" what kind of MONSTER…
The screws in the tires come from Home Depot, Menards, Fleet Farm Lowes, Ace Hardware,,,,,,,
Channeling your internal ChrisFix hand at the master cylinder lol
Note to self: Order a 2 post lift and work at chest height…
geez popcorn fart love it
Great video, but why did he lube the metal shims – bracket instead of pads – shims?
I really like it when you use powerful tools. But keep your eyes safe ….!
Found it Tire Valve Stem
Thanks for the video. I could not understand what u stuck in the banjo fitting for it to stop the brake fluid. From UK
"A pin and dryer and a popcorn fart?" 😂😂
enjoyed video and learned along the way. thanks
TSB ? no full stroke? GOOD INFO! I actually slammed the crap out of my 2004 crv 2 years ago at my mechanics request lol. But nothing happened to my Master. (I guess) Since then I have been doing my own work though..
Owner of a 2006 Honda CR-V LX, and my brakes are at about half-life or a bit under and they work fine for now. However, when the time comes, can anyone tell me if it would be a good idea to replace my brakes with some Brembos, or if that's not a good idea? Because from what I have heard they have really good stopping power, but I would also like to note that I am not well aware of the other kinds of brake brands, and what would work best with this kind of vehicle?
Why is the left caliper gold?
In my experience ,that Permatex ceramic extereme brake parts lube is NOT to be applied to rubber and seals . If your brakes last a long time and it will be years before you are in there again that stuff turns to TAR and will sieze the S#$% out of the things you are trying not to make seize . other than that its a great product for metal to metal contact . just not the RUBBER
There is no 'S' in all, or in anyway.
My mom had this same car and same color same year
That screw driver you hammered on pretty cool
Love the vids Eric! Thanks Again. Any time I have my phone out looking at something now the daughter or wife will ask if I'm watching the South Main Auto channel again. Last night we were talking about the daughter having to make an appointment to have work done on her Tundra, as soon as I started to talk she said,… Yea, Yea, I know, It's too bad we don't live closer to Eric so we could take it to him." 🙂 BTW If you don't have a valve stem handy and you have those disposable foam ear plugs, they work too.
I love the valve stem tip:)
Eric, love the channel. Whats the brand and name of the purple brake lube?
1st time seeing drag clips being installed on brakes.
Eastwood makes little rubber spring clamp things as a kit of 4 or something for the whole dribbling banjo deal. They work pretty well.
