Love the videos. I was working on my wife’s car (courage taken from your videos) when I was really frustrated in trying to get something to work. Stopped for a minute and asked WWRD (what would Ray do). Came up with an ingenious fix and was very happy. Better yet my wife was happy which is way good. Thank Ray! Dodedodedo.

You did not have to mess with the subframe at all bro all you had to do was put a jack under there and remove the motor mount bolts and jack up on the engine and you would have had plenty of space to work that compressor through there I have done it before

I was in the Electronic service trade up until I retired and I really admire your work ethics. I was like you. Always going the extra mile for the customer. That's what it's all about. Coating the condenser is actually a smart move. It rules out one of the tree required factors for electrochemical corrosion to occur. These being:
1) An electrode potential e.g. from the use of different materials (or alloys in this case; must be electrically conductive).
2) Electrical contact between the different materials.
These two are always present in modern condensers and radiators because of the way they are made.
3) An electrolyte, like water.
All three conditions must be met for this type of corrosion to occur.
The condenser will of course condense water from the air while the AC is running, so a coating it rules out one of these factors. The other two, as mentioned before, are not reasonably avoidable
Did you even check the low pressure switch before you replaced the compressor?

I have a Terrain, which is the illegitimate step cousin of the Equinox. Now I know what it takes to replace a compressor in one of these. NO THANK YOU! 😳 I'll be happy to take it to a garage.

I wonder if those inflatable bags used to jar open car doors, by locksmiths , would have been useful in separating the subframe from the engine so you can use both hands.
"More lumens" is correct. More lumens means brighter light. "Candlepower" is becoming an antiquated expression considering it is not, nor has it ever been, a scientific measurement.
