In this video I show you how I replaced a battery in a 2009 Chrysler Sebring. Always refer to your shop service manual for the proper procedure.

Stupidest place to place a battery. I totally regret buying my 2006 Chrysler Sebring. Especially now that the battery is dead!

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Social Degenerate says:

    Awesome how to video!

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Spicy Tuna says:

It's not poorly designed. It's designed exactly the way it was intended to be…for the owner to prefer taking it to the dealership to spend four hundred bucks for a job that should cost you only the hundred bucks or so for the battery because a battery swap is normally one of the easiest repairs you can do on your car.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Rick says:

    Absolutely ridiculous

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anthony Bellisomi says:

Thanks for the video. I was looking to see if I was missing anything in my battery swap on a 2007. As for the negative terminal, people can disconnect it from in side the engine compartment where the lead comes in from that dammed battery. If they want. Thanks for the video…wish I had a lift 😆

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jones vaughn89 says:

I have the same car and the group size says 26 at 525cca but I was wondering would it be a problem if I put in a 26r 540 CCA?

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hurricane Jason says:

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars mooboy2000 says:

I've never been a car guy, I'm a computer guy, so when I bought my 2008 sebring just a couple years ago I didn't know anything about all the "special" placements of parts rofl. I had to have the alt replaced earlier this year and now I think the battery needs changed. This video has helped me a lot in determining my next vehicle rofl.

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Agostino DiBella says:

I had to do that on my father’s 2007 Sebring. You think they would have designed it to have the negative cable on the outside so you could remove it first and replace it last.

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dona Kochell says:

Is it the same battery as the 2005?

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Holewinski says:

Great video. Yes, sometimes you pull the positive cable first. Very stupid design, battery would have been better in the trunk…

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Jeremia says:

i found an easier way. take the front grill and headlight off and slide the battery forword

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Vincent Bozzone says:

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ddellwo says:

Low-mileage convertibles of this model usually only garner a few thousand bucks – guess the word is out on the street that they are complete pieces of garbage……😂

Dear Chrysler, this is a good enough reason to NEVER buy one of your cars.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Johnson says:

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Moen says:

Great video! I need to change the battery in our 08 sebring convertible. Makes sense they would put the battery there, they need the room for all that horsepower under the hood😂😂

    I miss my Nissan Altima

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars R B says:

I don't think the engineers were laughing after all the underhood work was done and then they realized there was no battery . More like OHHH shizzlestiks where are we going to put it , when one guy stood up and said " there is still 34 cubic inches left behind the drivers fender"

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Janna Lavis says:
