They do say "No pain , no gain" and cars of all makes often cause pain to mechanics. I charge extra for weld burns. Lol

For those hard to reach ones I like to put a little electric tape in my socket and it holds the bolt so that you can actually put it in them threaded holes without dropping them

Nothing goes together as easy the right way as it does the wrong way.

    Oh no!

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ammanzi1 says:

    Seriously- another great job.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bill Keith says:

I don't believe you need to remove the tensioner for a belt change I believe you just pinch the belt and push it between the tensioner and idler

    Ray
One of the best tools I have is a small vanity mirror from a sun shade out of a wrecked car with a couple of magnets glued on with a torch finds most bolts I cant see also handy for back of engine/ manifold stuff

Ray, kudos to you! It takes a very special person to do the job you do… And to video it on top of that. Amazing!

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars NoExpert says:

Generally people who do not work on cars do not understand the positions mechanics have to get into so they can access a part. Then they have to hold that position while removing said part or fasteners. And of course the more awkward the position the more the part/fastener argues with you about going home or things just don’t go right.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jay Kellett says:

I've got a faint squeaking/scratching sound coming from one of the pulleys in my wife's 2010 Camry 2.5L engine. Too many pulleys to count, no room to work, and not sure which one is the culprit, and two belts contorted in a maze that would handcuff Houdini forever!
    Perfect!
Told the wife to keep driving it until it falls off.

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars robert Fitzgerald says:

I find myself tencing up and holding my breath on certian parts of your video's , thanks for the drama.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Gandee says:

Great job Ray! I would have maybe used my stethoscope probe to listen to each individual component to confirm the offending bearing prior to dissasembly. Also, while watching you sweat out the new idler puller tension I was almost begging you to go grab a piece of pipe to extend the ratchet for leverage. I felt your pain!

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pasler Andrew says:

That job was a knuckle buster from the beginning

  50. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel McKenzie says:
