Very helpful video. There is actually an empty socket in the relay box so I moved my mine into the empty socket. I depinned the the terminals that were still serviceable and inserted them into the empty socket and soldered a wire in to replace the bad wire. I was able to find an old relay box at a u-pull junkyard so I was able to even use the actual "daisy-chained" terminals from that. Entire repair was less than $10 including an old relay from the junkyard.
Hello I have a 2008 Jeep Patriot it cranked but do not turn over I have changed that same box that have the corroded I saw you have jumped and it got it to start it can you let me know which two wire you jumped it I really appreciate it thanks

The repair I just saw in this video what would something like that cost on this vehicle. Because I put a 2010 Compass and the shop Custom Car Care 15 Mile and Gratiot Clinton Township Michigan and they have a $500 wiring diagnostic.. they've already had my car almost 2 weeks which I've talked to a couple people there already and they put a new starter in starting out because they replaced a starter in it a few months ago for me they were checking it to see if any problems which it showed bad they replaced it. But still no crank no start. Then I went to the junction box according to the person I talk to oh, and he started to explain everything that I already told him about the corrosion at the junction box. So they ordered to release in the junction tight connection like this video shows I believe. But I still haven't heard back from him and spend a couple more days. But he told me I was still at the $500 mark whatever that means but I was curious with this kind of fix what would it total price I should suspect. If this is the way they did it. But I don't think they went through the wheel well I think they are doing it up top. I'll buy the headlight. Which I believe will take longer because you have to remove hoses to get to it I think. You don't know who to trust anymore. I would like to think I can trust them cuz I've been bringing my vehicles to them for some time now. But if anybody has any knowledge of this video what am I expecting Auto Repair like this one. On the no crank no start. Issue

Just had this exact same issue with the wife’s 16 compass. Watched ur video and found the exact same relay had corroded prongs. Wired it up and we are back and running.

Wish you were closer. My compass is acting up, blew a bearing in my alternator, got it fixed, then my catalytic converter replaced on a recall, then she started throwing battery light, got a new battery, worked for about a week, then battery light came back, daughter drove it to a soccer game, got stranded down the street, she will turn, but dies when you put her in gear, now trying to get her fixed, but haven't had the funds for 6 months. Everyone says just change the ECM, I can do some car repair, but not what you just did.
Man! Awesome i got the p0335 error code and remove and reinstall the starter relay and thats all! Haha it was loose
Just did this fix… Actually had to do it to 3 of the 4 relays. Got it all together after making sure it starts, it ran for 5 minutes and quit! Now I have to rip the fuckin thing apart again and see what happened 😡

Would you be able to tell me where the relay is for the starter on my 2019 Jeep Compass?? The dealership is saying if I pay $399 they can tell me🙄 needless to say I’ve had a TON of issues with my jeep within the last year. I decided to not let them fix it so now they won’t give me any info. Any info will help at this point. My car has been down since April 1st. 😔
Nice one Eric have you tried the sleeves with solder rings in slide over joint apply heat job done. Big clive did vid on them take a look may help stay safe.

I have 2016 Jeep Patriot 2.0, I have the same issue (no spark), It has 116,000 miles, had a blown head gaskets, I changed the engine, I put 2007 Jeep Compass 2.0 engine in it has 91K different wiring so i replaced it with the car’s original wiring the new engine has two temperature sensors and the original one has one temperature sensor; The engine cranking but won’t start?? I checked the relay box and it’s good ??

I think those wiring harnesses were built by Hyundai, that's where you might locate replacement pins for future reference.
Was able to fix the terminal. Have power . Aftermarket rely . Hoping it’s not a different type ..

Dealing with my 2013 Jeep Patriot with the same exact issue but cannot find the relays went to AutoZone Advance Auto and Napa no one can find them I'm going to a Pick-n-Pull tomorrow to hopefully find them but three out of the four relays or rotted off if you have any advice on where to find these relays besides Jeep or they will charge me an arm and a leg

If u can please help me i have a 07 jeep compass 2.4 4×4 i recently had a new intake manifold put on new sensors all around new vvt solenoids now im get a p0108 code for the map sensor and it wants to stall out i had the electrical looked at and its all good i change the map sensor 3 times and is still doing it do u have any idea what is happening any thing would help me thank you
