In is time to get back at the Jeep WJ and install the cross member for the long arm kit from Iron Rock Off Road. So far so good! This long arm kit is turning out nice and all the components seem to fit very well. -Enjoy!

For the lady who hit you in the feels: Imagine how she would feel knowing that SHE is helping pay you to buy all the parts & install it 🙂
Should have told that lady you're doing it for free. 👍
“Exactly the same just a lil different”
😂
Great video .
greeting viewers and welcome to the south man* on channel good job youtube your CC its awful
That extra hand you have sure gives you a hard time.
Hanna, Has to be a little sister
that exhaust looks like a chunk of 3" water pipe…
Easy way to put any nuts behind the frame if you can't get your fingers in there to hold it is to weld a strong wire to the nut like some towbar installations do that way you can maneuver the nut more and hold it at the same time
You could have used some adhesive on that device to hole it in place on the frame.
Why not just tap those holes? That device looks like a pain.
you look like stoney ridge farmer are yall related?
Second time watching 5/26/2020
Why noy once you had the nut plate lined up the first just put studs in?
Why not just thread in a couple studs where you put the nut plates then slip on the bracket
Crazy lady showed the true meaning of assume. Sad how dumb we people are sometimes. Good job whallering out the hole though that is a screamer. Looks like you will lower the center of gravity by a bunch before this is done.
Are you located anywhere near Canastota NY?
Eric..Thanks for bring me along on this build..makes me feel like I am part of it and I am learning alot also
So cool…..you look very tired….
Hey Eric, hats off to the WJ lift! YOUR LUCKY to be wrenching on a. "southern vehicle". I have to replace everything under my 2000 Grand, every time l crawl under l find something else( northern Delaware). Thanks, good work!
Hannah made me laugh, shes a screamer lol. Maybe it was just me but that was funny.
Hannah!
i saw those tires
Shit can that Transfer Case it's junk.
Hey, Eric! What's that purty li'l hand appearing at about 11mins in? If that's all we get to see of Hannah then we'll have to make do. It's good to see she's getting the confidence enough for some solid banter remarks, go for it, Hannah! Shame, for us viewers, that she's back to school but I hope she does well in her nursing carrier. Nursing people, that is, as she's already proven herself in nursing the old crocks that some of your customers bring in.
Edit: after seeing next video….. Or perhaps it was Marie? In either event both bring light into the videos. Eric, you must remember that, while you are the focus of the viewers, Mrs O, Hannah, Marie, Trinity, et al all add desired colour. I believe I can speak for all in saying that, while customers are just background noise that allows your shop to exist, we love to see the others involved that makes your videos MUCH more than just a spanner waving exercise.
should put a string to the brackets before sliding them into frame in case they shift ,you can pull them forward
At my Friends garage- he Professionally does the complete Fluid Film service; drill holes where needed, spray inside stuff, then rubber caps. A trick/tip for you & others: get a 1 or 2 quart sauce pan, and either a propane or electric hot plate (he uses a plastic container in a microwave) and heat the Fluid Film to 200F. When sprayed hot- it creeps better, and goes way further in coverage amount. Remember- the "lubricant" in the aerosol can is NOT the same formula as the "undercoating" stuff. There is a noticeable difference. 2-3 HOT quarts should be enough for your entire Jeep. Shove lengths of wire or zip ties in door, sill, and other small drain holes to prevent clogging, remove afterwards.
Next time Ms. Butthole brings you her car, drop a couple anchovies in her hvac intake. 😊
Hanna is awesome!
Great!
Eric, are you aware of the dangerous placement of the fuel tank on that WJ? If not, just google it. I had a friend that got rear ended and the vehicle turned into a fireball. Fortunetly he was not hurt. Anything you could do to protect against the danger?? Just my 2 cents. Be lovin' those videos. GOOD JOB.
Fun to watch that I the can figure out what year the episode is by the impact tools you use???!!!
What's the plan for skid protection?
A few years down the road, some young man is NOT going to believe his luck when he realizes the young lady he's dating is also pretty darn capable, or at least knowledgeable, in mechanics. I love the relationship you have with both Mrs. O and Hannah. Very cool.
Very happy you're doing lift kits now!!! Awesome!! I want to put a 7inch drop diff kit on my Suburban with 35s. 🙂 I got the Bilstien 5100 and 5160s already, they're awesome!
Not a fan of all that off-road stuff. Your obvious excitement and enthusiasm is contagious, though! Nice work!
Umm…stainless steel fasteners??? Just a thought.
Jeep, Just Empty Every Pocket
Love your work! Wish we had machanics over here in Australia that knew their way around my 4.7 wj. Keep the videos coming mate.
You likely could have skipped the t-case drop spacers. The SYE adds lots of length so driveline vibes wouldn't be an issue. Unless maybe there was somewhere the driveline may hit? Keeping everything tucked up as high as possible to prevent hanging up on a rock or stump is always a good idea. When I put the SYE in my YJ, (TINY rear DS), I was able to remove my t-case drop and tuck the belly up.
You sally! Reading directions and a torque wrench, what has sma come to?😱…… besides what do silly paying customers know, …..NOTHING! “My cars broke, fix it!” No real appreciation for their vehicles. Keep up the good work Eric 👍🏻👍🏻🍻
South Main auto sales Winnipeg Canada lol Real place
God Bless America &Canada We deadly 🙂
Love your show..Crew chief UH-1 US Air Force..Now I keep B-52H air borne 🙂
You are a awesome mechanic! I wish I was closer I'd so have you work on my cars!
May be the lady knew that a jeep was like a tin can with no bottom on it that you put money into
Can you teach me how to do that bionic man thing lol
ughhhhh! project fairmont pt 2! soooo many videos! haha, just kidding. i enjoy the project style videos! keep 'em coming man! also, i'mma be in upstate NY next month, whats a good place to get that maple stuff you were always eating when you were doing your livestreams?
Remove lower control arm, stick magnet/pliers into frame rail to hold the ganged nut?
Cool build. I always had issues with blind bolt starting. I would thread a stud to it first to keep it straight then switch over. I work by myself so I don't have a Hannah running around.
I know your channel isn't specific around engines and specs related to engines but I've watched a few of ur videos and I have a question- I have a 97 Ford ranger with a 4.0 V6 and 3 inch exhaust, the power band is not necessarily something I would call healthy but Ford built the engine the way it is but…. Peak power is just under 4200 rpm and redline is 5500 rpm but between peak power plummets dramatically all the way to redline from peak power and the problem I see with this is that that's pretty much 1300 rpm not being used so my question is what do I need to do to move peak power closer to the redline and inturn increase power without it dropping dramatically
