As we continue assembling the Jeep we discover that the rear brake hose needs to be replaced with something longer and more suitable for the job. In this video we take care of that with a brake hose I got at Napa and also repair the damaged emergency brake cable. Oh and we check out the Iron Rock Of Road 1.5" wheel spacers that will allow me to run the stock wheels with this lift kit. -Enjoy!

After a few years with the Iron Rock setup, have you had any noises develop in the rear suspension? I have some major noise I'm trying to run down.

While you get that thing up in the air and its rust-free. Either use New Hampshire oil undercoating, or make up a mix, of transmission fluid, PB Blaster, and Dawn dish detergent add spray everything under that vehicle and inside the frame rails. Inside where those door weep holes are, and bore a couple of holes in that rocker panel and do the underside of those rocker panels. And then you can always add some every couple of years or so or even less.
The mix ratio for this stuff in 1 quart would be 11 oz of transmission fluid, 8 oz of PB Blaster, and 1 oz of Dawn dish detergent. So for a gallon it would be four times that much for each item.
It might not be a bad idea to drop down the fuel tank cover, clean up the inside of it and put some truck bed coating inside of it, and it clean up the outside of it do the same thing to be outside of it and spray the inside with that same solution before you put it back on. Otherwise in New York that thing's going to look like shit in a few years. You can also spray the fuel tank itself before you get everything back together.

When using the wheel spacers, did you use red loctite on the axle studs to ensure the spacer doesnt come loose from the axle?
I can't begin to express how relieved I was when you struggled a bit with the actuator. While I'm only a shade tree mech, I'd like to think I'm decent but those brakes kicked my a$$. First video of yours I watched and appreciated it. I also work on vehicles with my daughter Samantha – wouldn't trade it for the world.

IN PA we have to call them adapters as spacers are illegal and you will not pass yearly inspection

I always keep some Craftsman tools for throwing when a job gets frustrating or I get pi$$ed off. Snap-on tools are too expensive to throw in a fit of rage.

I suspect you spent a lot of money up grading the suspension and drivetrain items to make a useful off reader!

What are your thoughts on wheel spacers for an every day driver, aka lifted tacoma? Ive heard pros/cons.
I am an industrial mechanic for a living, but when it comes to my own cars lately, I have no luck. Matter of fact, it's a WJ and I cannot get the stupid parking brakes to hold.
On the rear brake hose washers from NAPA beware. Picked up one for dodge 2500, hose from proportioning valve to rear axle. Copper crush washers from NAPA were too thin. Or perhaps not crushable. It leaked at block attachment to proportioning valve . NAPA.75mm thick , genuine mopar 1.55 mm. Copper color was different . MOPAR could be annealed (Malleable) copper as well. Pricey at $2.50 per washer. Leaking brake lines are even more.
