it not even the starter for the car open your eyes

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bobbg says:

Dosnt somone make a repair plate you can install onto the block to give solid ground to seat a starter onto?
A machine shop might be able to make that part with the motor still in the suv.
All you need is z 1/2" plate a few welds and bolt holes.

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bobbg says:

Id smack that starter with a hammer. A lot of times the bendex won't return the gear to the flywheel. They freeze up s good jar will free them so the spring can push the gear into place.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bobbg says:

I was just reading a review on a code reader. The guy took his impla to a shop and was told his hubs were bad on his abs system, he had them replaced
On his way home the abs light came on so he went back the shop said well youve got new hubs now. WTF he paid to get the problem fixed, not to somone to play parts jocky, the guy stoped bought a cheap code reader and got under his car to find the sensor wires were broken but intermittent bought new parts for 26 bucks and fixed the problem.

Ray knows how to find and repair the problem, he dosnt just start swapping out parts untill its fixed.
That would piss me off bad enough to cancel payment on a ck or deny charges on my charge card. If your going to repair a car make dam sure your fixing the right parts. Or go find something else to do for a job, people don't have money to waste on your gusses.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Curtis Shaffer says:

I had a 4.3 trail blazer was the same way broke outside of block / starter mounting surface ,was able to get a epoxy to repair the broken missing pieces but it didn't last long

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bobbg says:

RAY, just for shits and grins
Can you test the Harbor fright
ZURICH ZR8. CODE READER WITH LIVE DATA
And compare it to a decent code reader
For thoses of us who don't want to spend 2k on a snap on unit.
The price point of this is just under 100 dollars.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chanmay says:

    lol as a Japanese speaker… 「あらあら~ お可愛いこと・・・」, aka "Oh my… how cute…" You got yourself a weebmobile.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daddyoh says:

There are insert possibilities that may work on the block. That said new engine block is what is needed. Shouldn't there be a starter bracket on the front side of the starter?

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars belowzeros says:

who knew the mini coop was powered by anime and chocolate milk

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Dawkins says:

    Frickin amateurs !

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ray says:

Three or $400 starter that's a $39 starter all day long build some shins or braised that corner of the block build it up Sand it off and put the starter back in problem solved you going to gas well that with brass is it level sanded off and go all about your business for less than a hundred bucks I have done several and have no problems with them afterwards

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars scottjet says:

    I too hate febreeze!

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Trung Huynh says:

Mini. Its a interbam leak in the radiator but its to late to be repair

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars theAreaMan says:

Poor thing was already on a replacement (Jasper) engine, and it was poorly maintained.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Lefler says:

They need to get a hold of Jasper and try and get their money back

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bill smith says:

I know what you mean about smells. My wife was doing child minding a while back. A mother came to pick up her kid. The perfume/deodorant she was wearing, was so strong I had to walk out the house to the back yard. The only way to get rid of the smell, was to spray the house with fly spray.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Lefler says:

Well Ray the first problem and the only problem when you were looking at the flywheel I noticed that's a Jasper engine that's the problem all along I used to work for Jasper LOL

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Trung Huynh says:

I think u can save the mechanical

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Travis Jansma says:

All because of where the starter bolts to. That sucks.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Trung Huynh says:

Ive been watching u 4 a long while, u r a damn good diagnosis on mechanical and electrical poo. But it was so obvious u should add some h20 prior to the diagnos. FYI keep it up , u fine.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars RaNdUm ChRiS says:

"Ara-ara" is a lewd reference in weeb culture, considering that I'm a weeb too.😂

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bryan Peters says:

I love your mini cooper videos! The first video was a cool look at the starting system

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Hatrick says:

Mini pooper better off in junkyard anyway, soon will be electrical issues unrepairable.ask how I know?
    The other vehicle? Repairable.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jay Cee says:

    What a shit box.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charlie Ewing says:

    The mini milkshaked. That blows.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Timothy Hutchings says:

Should have Taps playing in the background when lowering the GMC.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Hatrick says:

There is an easy fix for that. I have done it a few times. And the vehicle rotted died and got sraooed before needing repair again.
But it's gone now so no sense in telling how hahahaha.
    I'll say this..
    Shims. Helicoils and new starter.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Keller says:

My solutions almost never include welding buuuut…

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Hatrick says:

Omg wow hahahaha, dealt with that before yupprs

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cloud Strife says:

why is no one talking about the fact that the mini cooper went ara ara

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Hatrick says:

Like a distributor gear to a cam gear, starter gear is softer than the flex plate gear.
But i havnt finished the video yet. I'm enticed to

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars greg a says:

I had the same problem on a 4.3 GM in a forklift. The outer bolt broke and drill out attempts failed, so we pulled motor and sent to a machine shop. They cut off the outer ear of motor and welded on a new one. I installed the motor and a new starter and cables. Started it up and it was like new! Sometimes it is in who you know…🙂

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars tony deeble says:

HI Ray, i love your videos and watch them every morning. I do have one concern though. I watched the clip of you making your assault blower and loved it, and saw you use it the other day, but because i am in australia i am worried that some dude will be driving buy your shop and see you waving it around, pull in to the shop and blow your head off!! WE do have some gun crime but it is usually bikie drug families taking each other out! STAY safe ALL THE BEST…TONY.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars negermord says:

Make sure that this Mini gets crushed – every contribution to the war on anime counts!

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cerus98 says:

What kind of idiot designs a car with the speedometer in the middle and the useless tach “front and center”?

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dave O says:

When is Knocker Loose going to come out with an air freshener. That trash people out in there cars could gag a dead mule.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gregory Vines says:

Oh no the forbidden milkshake on the Mini…

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bradley Wise says:

I usually like ray,but that was the wrong call on that chevy, the right bolts are critical to a small block chevy starter, that lack of knowledge cost that guy a vehicle, like i said i usually agree with ray and like his content, but that was a bad call

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nova Vroom Vroom says:

You never wrote on the description of the Tahoe that the radiator is bone dry

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sadayan Ebramsah Ismail Ghani says:

    hahah speaks Anime

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Clay says:

Use JB weld to repair the bolt hole..lol

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rob8742 says:

I also have a 99 yukon with over 266000 miles on it and it still runs pretty good its always about 3 inches low on water in the radiator and it never overheats and it gets the same buildup that was on that radiator cap lol its kind of a shame it's going to the scrap yard for something so small cuz those are good trucks

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Saienide says:

I'm not sure why but to me you seem like Ian McCollum but with cars.

Hatsune Miku Sticker on the mini cooper, Nice

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andy Saunders says:

    Mini.
HUGE car, which is a piece of shit.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Weston Howe says:

Wow never seen something boogered up like that starter "install/repair", impressive.

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Kane says:

My first car was a hand me down 81 Cadillac (V8-6-4 FTW) that ate 6 THM-400s. How? The shift modulator is vacuum, and if the diaphragm goes bad, the engine sucks (or is force fed as Ray mentioned due to the high pressure) trans fluid and attempts to burn it. Massive amount of white smoke accompanies this.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andy Saunders says:

    I had a '71 Vauxhall Victor FD 3300 wagon.
    Yeah, did the same.
I could wind it over by hand, and it would generally light up.
Same with a Mark IV Fort Cortina Ghia.
    Nasty British cars.
Should have kept them – they are worth heaps now.
    Woe is me.

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jay B says:

A person could completely restore that Suburban for far less then a new one.

  50. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ion Racer says:

That burban probly is eatin coolant too. Those year three fiddies are notorious for bad head gaskets and over heating. done several of those. The girl is saying something about being cute/hot according to my daughter who speaks a lil japanese

  51. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pulse Fel says:

not much you could do about the starter. id say scrap too if it was a few hundred for a temp fix thats got no chance of staying power.

  52. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Average Joel says:

This car speaks in anime lmfaooooo

  53. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars candido silva says:

That start up from the mini so funy.)🤣

  54. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars BoredomARISEN says:

yes, the mini is saying provocative things when the its turned on, it is both the best and worst kind of cringe

  55. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Conley says:

Some times you just have to call ‘Basket Case’.

  56. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars peter8488 says:

I wonder if the air freshener was to cover the spunk smell.

  57. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars vegetableGremlin says:

😂 Those Mimi Cooper anime noises are super creepy.

  58. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Assy McGee says:

“Repaired to death” hahahaha that’s a good way of putting it.

  59. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Martin says:

Depending on the rest of the vehicle, I would have put a 350 out of the junk yard put of it. Would have about the same chances as the current engine of working for any length of time

  60. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars da teatorjr says:

I may not be having a great day but I’m having a better day than that mini owner.

  61. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars shawn cordeiro says:

dude you need to pratice fudging skills jb weld or grind a tapper on a washer or use different bolt pattern on starter or over-lay block and grind flush if the customer is willing to pay

  62. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JM D123 says:

I honestly don't even care if it started or not, it needs a full service, probably a new engine, (if the block can't be repaired) a new radiator, and probably some new brakes.

  63. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars A Google User says:

shoot if you plan to junk it, just by a new starter and weld it in place. It wouldn't slip anymore.

  64. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Les Reeves says:

What you said at the end of the video ,end of mini pieces of junk.

  65. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scott Johnson says:

As a person living in the rust belt, it has lived a longer motor life than most GMs. Could use a motor if available? Or good recycling!

  66. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Camouflage Peacock says:

    🖤 Another sad day 😞!

  67. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Terrance L says:

$300- $400 for a '98 Chev starter?? Plenty of those around (and in SRQ) and many good shops around there will do the work for way under a thousand.

  68. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cheng Saetern says:

I would put a new starter and weld the starter to the motor then condemn it when it fails

  69. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Lzxray 67 says:

That's a shame, that's the models of truck that GM built with quality and reliability. The models pickups today they build are junk.

  70. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars RT Adroni says:

I’m with you on the air fresheners!

  71. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Emily Poppino says:

those floor mats in the cooper…. ara ara!

  72. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stephen Hunter says:

Good body bad engine = Good fix her upper! It's never a good idea to put a good engine into a bad body, always the other way around.

  73. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Emily Poppino says:

As one of the transes I would love to smell like chocolate milk!

  74. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Barnes says:

    The dreaded milkshake

  75. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Ferenchik says:

I wanna know how to get the custom sound set up on my car if it's possible, would be nice to have a JARVIS kind of voice or something ya know?

  76. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John LaCroix says:

TY,,,,,,WOW incredible very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.

  77. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jeffrey Green says:

That febreeze… sometimes its smell is "Pure Dag-Nasty Evil". Been there as a passenger in a friend's car. FYI that voice is not really anime but I get it. It's Japanese. Kawaii is "Cute" in Japanese but I can't fully translate the rest I only learned a little bit as a kiddo in Okinawa, Japan.

  78. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars sd1rager says:

i hope you get to fix the mini.

  79. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jussi Kuusela says:

Fixing it with a new starter, putting in new coolant, and changing the oil might get the car to work long enough that the owner could sell it to someone not so knowledgeable. But I bet you kinda know. I was once tempted with such an idea… I had an older Ford I ran over some rocks on a cabin road, dented the oil pan so that oil no longer circulated well, and damaged the engine. I could have removed the pan, kicked it somewhat straight, bolted it back in, and sold the car for a couple hundred. But I was afraid it would have bit me in the arse eventually, so I ended up selling it for a few tens instead, to someone who had a "complete hull loss" but a recently rebuilt engine. Mine had virtually pristine body, save some scratches, and plenty of other fully functional stuff.

  80. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars john rodriguez says:

If water got into the transmission, then the clutches will delaminate and the fluid changes won't save it

  81. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Wolf says:

Such a shame I'm crying such a nice truck

  82. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars RestoPesto says:

Easy to assume that the Mini Cooper owner can't afford the repair.

  83. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sunbeam says:

Two more on Death Row! 🙂

  84. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars robert medina says:

Honest mechanic works by the hour. Man with own shop now has $3000.00 a month rent, taxes, tool Bills and payroll to meet! $400 a month just to get oem repair information…. crazy Bills make a desperate man for sure!

  85. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars trucker 101 says:

I once had a starter blow up so bad that it locked up the motor.

  86. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars julius liles says:

I wonder how much time this person spends with a V.R. head set? 😵‍💫

  87. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Second time around says:

    BMW'S are a money pit

  88. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mister Roboto says:

Time for a triple phase AC motor, petrol engine delete, exhaust system delete, fuel parts and gas tank delete, rebuild u-joints and trans.

  89. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ryan Schuette says:

Lol i loved when you said something about the car talking and you were like ,i want to get out of this car 😆

  90. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gary McPhee says:

Some Ford Falcons in Oz have the trans cooler connected to the side of the radiator and there have been many instances of coolant ending up in the trans. We call it a milkshake here and it is expensive to repair. The easy way to avoid it is as I have done put a isolated trans cooler in front of the radiator. Best money I ever spent.

  91. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars eric cardinal says:

Yeah that mini cooper is going to cost more to fix than I would want to dump into it.

  92. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars tokuzumi1 says:

At least we have comfort in knowing that Mini Cooper just started making that noise. It certainly hasn't been like that for hundreds of miles.

  93. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Friedrich Wilhelm says:

i think the guy is a fool i don't see much rust anywhere on that suburban he should just but a long block and have a good 4×4

  94. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kelsy Cunningham says:

    I owned a chev…ONCE.
But I shall NEVER own a bmw.

  95. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars CHRISTOPHER Goodman says:

the first mistake made with the mini was, they BOUGHT it

  96. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jose Hernandez says:

Man that sucks have to put in a new engine

  97. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Emmanuel Otamendi says:

You know there is a mexican around when you listen to "Los hombres G" I sear to Q they were a billion times more popular in México than in Spain.
