I was wondering if your company requires you to work on European vehicles or can you refuse to work on them🤬

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stephen Fasciani says:

    What a nightmare

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars abergbe1 says:

After having watched this video, I have decided that I will never ever buy a Land Rover. There must be a reason why practically all english cars have disappeared from the market.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Casey Powell says:

I hate those kind of use the forse jobs buddy

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ck m says:

Beta Tools makes a set of T-handled socket wrenches with attached swivel sockets specifically for dealing with this sort of tight space crap….. Expensive but worth it if you have a lot of cars like this. They were originally design for working on Ferraris which are a nightmare to work on. Engine out 15k service is not unusual on those cars….

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars harry walker says:

fitted stiker to inside front drivers windscreen,, oil change, ect.. dont come back.. yes, its a challenge, but, if it goes wrong,, engine out..2 day job..or, lift body..

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gino Bragoli says:

@2.58 there seems to be a red wire in the wiring loom above your wrist that has lost some insulation around it and the copper wire is exposed?
Didn't see you change the rubber o rings on the lines Ray! Didn't see you check the A/C belt Ray?

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brian McSwigan says:

Much as I like Euro cars, especially Jaguar and Range Rover, I've never been brave enough to buy one. Mind you, I'm not impressed with American cars either. I'm a Lexus fan I'd have to say. The only issues I've had are shocks (factory ones useless) and the odd sensor. My wife bought a new Kia Sportage, and it's incredibly boring, in a good way. Absolutely nothing has ever gone wrong with it, not even a bulb!!

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Carey Furman says:

That looked like a fun one !

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Whitelaw says:

Yeah….that’s about right for Land Rover….step I remove engine…..try a Ferrari…..step 1) remove entire rear half of vehicle, trans, rear suspension, brake lines, electrical connections….and this is just for a service!

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars andy telford says:

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jamie Cooksey says:

I recall in Part 1 you said the labor time was about 4 hours? How long did it actually take? Because it didn't seem to take you that long (editing aside).

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Neil Stone says:

    I would have given up

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dane Martin says:

Saying you're going to win and starting on the installation with only 1/3 of the video in the past i feel is a bit pre-mature

I don't see enough talk abotu removing those "fender liners"… helped me a ton with the fuel system on the '97 Dodge/Cummins. Great camerawork!

    Remove engine

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Love Of Christ says:

Ray you got some guts never turn in a vehicle after you have done that you need to check for leaks I don’t care if it’s new always recheck for leaks after you install a brand new compressor because you never know even though it’s new it could leak out and then your reputation is shot. Let me give an example you put it up say it’s ready to go the customer comes by a few hours later and then the AC will not blow cold air because you did not check for a leak always double triple check because I know that bill is going to be over 1000 bucks am I right God bless you take care Ray✝️✝️✝️

I don't think even wobbly sockets work well with a 90deg bend, yet somehow you made it work. My brother used to pay me $5 a sparkplug to R&R them from his 69 Mach 1 Cobra Jet. The dealer would actually disconnect the motor mounts and jack up the engine to get to them, but I managed with my compound wobbly sockets and scraped knuckles of course; man that car was scary fast.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Terrance Williams says:

Where's your rant about european vehicles!?

I appreciate the customer basically said "hey, he did all this diag and my car's already there. Might as well just have him do the repair now." You give me hope that there are more mechanics and technicians like you, sir.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Collins says:

Hats off to yah, I've been doing HVAC on commercial & residential for over 40 yrs and that type of equipment is usually built to be serviced. What your doing is so much different on a car( or European multi layered suv ) you can't tell me they are built to repair easily. Have a nice day buddy.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Breakingthebeat says:

Reminds me of the starter I did on my moms 06 v8 cherokee. On the floor of her garage.. never again 😂

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tim Woody says:

One of the things I appreciate watching Ray’s videos is how flexible/adaptable the human body is. Wow, twist around every which way to get the job done.

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars How About says:

Australia lists Land Rover as one of the most unreliable vehicles on the road. Nice to drive when all is going well but likely to break down expensively!

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars aussieaeromodeler says:

even if the video was 5 hours in length , I'd still watch it from beginning to end Ray

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Erik Preston says:

I’d like to know how close to the 4.7 hours it took to do the job.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars quazy1328 says:

They called a shop back at home to get a estimate, and found out it was cheaper in Florida.

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bert Minekus says:

I feel for you. I had a Range Rover Sport with a minor engine problem. I brought it to the Land Rover dealership next to my workplace. During my lunch break I saw that they took the whole body of the car off the frame, so the mechanic had clear access to the rear of the engine. Pfft. Great cars but when it suffers a fault, get your wallet out!

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jacob Tulak says:

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Esef Are says:

Repair manual should state as follows:
    1. Bring vehicle up to 10 mph.
    2. Turn a/c on high.
    3. Open driver's door.
    4. Exit vehicle before going over cliff.

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kim Nielsen says:

You always win. Never seen you loose any repairs, and I follow all of your videos on Youtube.

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Fred Walker says:

Ray,my. Shop in. Ontario does a ton of A/C work, when I saw The Rover, I had to watch ! Last year , same vehicle came in but White , No A/C , had refrigerant, A/C trouble codes ? No Tech support ! Scanned a couple of times, very hard to diagnose, like you , can’t get to compressor & 100 degrees in the shop, screw it, told customer, has to be compressor, thought he would leave! Well, we went through what you did, the next day ! Thank God , it worked ! My pride said ,,,,, do it! Lucky guess ! Compressor was not cheap !

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jamessmack says:

It had nothing to do with it already at your shop. They called there shop back home and they were a hell of a lot more expensive. Bet a 1k on it

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars eric kestner says:

I do, I'm disabled so so I have LOTS of time to kill.

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Re Ho says:

The engineers who designed this should be forced to do a repair job like this for their bad designs.
