Great job learning alot watching you do repairs Mr O. I'm going to isolate rear evap on my 2010 grand caravan
pretty cool dude
I would have used two. I hate you.
ERIC SAVED THE DAY!!! Appreciate all your videos. They've helped me learn a lot that I've used in my own repairs. Also like a lot of the little tools you have, I've added a lot to my tool box because you have stuff that makes working easier like the caliper hangers. I bought an SUR&R ac fitting and bought a piece from the wreckers and spliced it together. Keep up the good work and always watch the videos too. Unrelated question for you or anyone, I took a bracket bolt out in the side engine area and dropped it. Didn't hit the floor, can't find it anywhere. It holds on a power steering hose bracket. Any suggestions on how to find it?
Wow at how Deep Behind All the Shields and The routing dodge took for them ac lines for the rear evaporator its a puzzle for sure Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Those lines are a problem waiting to happen wow!!!! Who was the engineer that thought this was a great idea?? It should be mandatory that these engineers have to change the parts they designโฆ..maybe then things would be a little easier to work on!!!! Great job as always Mr. O keep those videos coming you are by far the best Iโve ever seen!!!!
the dealer is saying this is causing my coolant leak. Is this true?
There are a number of outer shaft deburring tools that work very well for such applications and reasonably cheap too (under $20). They are quick, and since they pull the shavings away, much less likely to leave anyvin the tubing. Nice job, Eric! ๐
Great job and no shame on the zip ties.. sometimes you gotta use 'em..
"Get the crusties, and not the good kind!" lol.. nothing worse than the crusties on the a/c lines! ๐
"Just can't go use some rubber hose your Grandma gave ya"… lol. looks like a nightmare in the works. Hoping my Durango rear a/c stays working and not leaking!!
My first job was working with Reynolds Aluminum Solar back in the early 80's and they had aluminum compression fitting for connecting their aluminum solar panels and they were also a one shot deal and if it leaked the glycol then you got out the hack saw and tried again. No loosening or tightening on those God awful fittings and fine thread just to make it more difficult.
Great video as usual, you truly are a joy to watch for those of us in the maintenance trenches.
WHAT COULD I DO ON A ROUNDED BOLT HEAD THAT IS ON MY AC MANIFOLD ATTACHED TO THE CONDENSER? WILL USING AN IMPACT WRENCH MAKE THE PROBLEM WORSE. I LOOKED INTO THE FITTINGS YOU USED BUT ADVANCE AUTO PARTS CHARGES A FORTUNE FOR THE PART. THEY DID NT HAVE THE CHEAPER CORMAN PART IN THE SIZE I NEEDED.
Every time you see a Dodge /Chrysler upon a lift it dawns on you they never dip their sub frames ,just paint them and they rust like fk ! /UK
Another solution for systems that the owner may consider repairing in the future, I use the bolt in block off plates from Auto Cooling Solutions. They bolt in at the line connection and seal like the original did. No need to sacrifice the line set.
Your attention to detail is reassuring for the customer. Thanks for showing us this repair.
Here's a tip for a set of cutting off the zip ties you can just take some pliers and twist twist twist and it twists off and it's not sharp
With the Venturi technique your creating a low pressure outside of the hole then drawing a vacuum so the relative pressure is higher inside the tube than outside.
Hello this is Greg in Brooklyn I am an older mechanic been doing this since I'm 12 years old I enjoy your Channel you do things a lot like myself I find it entertaining and I enjoy it
Hello this is Greg in Brooklyn I think it was a great repair good for you good for the customer everybody wins

I have a 2015 durango 3.6 AC Compressor works but no cool air! If I have a leak like this I'm doing it myself… Thanks for such great work and detailed info showing us… That 1234yf is a pain in the axx…

Where can I find the 3/4 in hose for the high pressure side of my Econoline E-350? I don't need that whole set.
You dundit.
Just in case you didn't know I'm the guy in this comment box
Hey, I have a crooked finger too lol c:
Nice job man.
need i say good job Chrysler
Great video as usual. I just pulled the condenser out of 1991 Mercury Cougar and patched a hole with jb weld. As soon as it cures I'll put some pressure to the line and see if it works. My cousin said that I have a 1 in 10 chance of success. ๐ we'll see.
I think you did well Eric! Good job! I got my approval from an ac tech myself ! ๐
Eric O those are called OTIKER CLAMPS
Great job again like always
Great job you did there!
Is the rubber hose that the line connects to in the rear for the rear heater core?seems Iโm leaking coolant do to rusty hose clamps also leaking refrigerant.๐
I am going to try this on my Yukon Denali , the dealer wants $1100 to fix mine … Thanks for making the video …
lmao ur funny as shit i love it
I would have added some Duck Tape for good measure. LOL
In case anyone here doesn't know, the warranty replacement of these lines suck incredibly
"She's got a case of the crusties…and not the good kind."
Good gravy, what's a good kind of crusties!?
Another great video thank you
