Ray what about the gaskets for the coil each coil has a gasket to keep water out they were laying on top after you finish your work? Did the new coils supply a new gasket at the bottom I’m just curious? God bless you✝️✝️✝️
On your wrist I think it’s the beginnings of carpal tunnel that is one of the biggest problems that affects technicians that’s the new Termanology not mechanics anymore we are technicians because everybody has gone to computerized systems and cars. Looked up the difference in the definition between a mechanic and a technician that’s why they’re calling us now technicians instead of mechanics fun fact ha ha ha ha ✝️✝️✝️
Hello Ray can you start telling people that video channel about counterfeit spark plugs counterfeit parts that come from China that is going around so much in today’s times people need to be informed to make sure they buy quality products and what to look out for when purchasing spark plugs or any type of product for the vehicles. I ordered some parts through eBay half of the items were in great shape perfect brand new but the spark plugs I got with the kit we’re counterfeit so please tell your viewers to be careful if not they gonna be doing the work twice as much, I check everything I buy from this point on even if it comes from an auto parts store. God bless you my brothers and sisters take care and be careful out there✝️✝️✝️
All the extras used like grease, brake spray, O Rings and odds and sods from your magic box, does the employer pay for this or are you expected to be out of pocket? I'm not a mechanic so any answers appreciated.
Nice job agin
I’m only 75 and already decided I don’t want to become an auto mechanic.
Sounds like you're getting carpel tunnel syndrome in your right wrist. Welcome to the club.
You definitely going to get that hand rap dirty
I would have this guy work on my vehicle anytime he's great
I don't know what happened. I was watching hoof repair , magnet fishing and raising sheep, then you showed up! I know little about cars, but now I'm watching you!!
The sicker on the door is when vehicle vehicleis built. But anything built after the 6th month of the year it states will be the next year up.
Is that locking flex-head ratchet Snap-On? I have been cussing over my non locking ones for YEARS. It seems to simple that they would make locking ones but I really didn’t know anyone made one! This channel is making me want to buy tools.
Thanks Ray for caring about your profession and people's cars
That unknown item is a dohiokey and is used to measure the phantom vapor pressure. 😄
For some reason on my 13 corrolla when my fuel pump started to die and then died, the car would lose responsiveness and then sometimes would turn off completely until one day the fuel pump was just dead. The check engine gave me no trouble codes (from what i remember) to let me know what was going on. Just putting it out there because that might be something that is happening with this car.
Hey Ray, a trick I have been using while working on cars, when dropping nuts and bolts is a probability for hard to reach places, is to put a small strong magnet on the socket or bit as close to the fastener as manageable…
It is a cold start injector
That thing you pulled out of the intake plenum that you thought might be a temperature sensor is in fact a fuel injector. I think on the later model 4GR-FSE they put this in the plenum to help with cleaning the backside of the intake valves and helps with cold start to light off the catalytic converters.
Lexus, the other Great Driving Machine…
It used to be that you could change sparkplugs without removing anything.
And again, why a coil on every sparkplug? Where I live, having your ignition coil (singular) fail is basically unheard of.
Do any of you smf's know you don't need computers to get 200 mpg
I hope your wrist is ok now
A few month ago I cleaned the EGR-system on my Toyota. It was clogged up and the engine wasn't running smooth. What I also did was change the oil. I did that because of that dirty EGR-system the mixture of air and petrol didn't burn as good as it should have. So all kinds of dirty shit came into the oil, I suppose, because the oil wasn't yellow anymore, but brown. Now, after cleaning the EGR and changing the oil, the engine runs smooth again and the oil is still yellow
Really like your videos. Wish all service techs were more like you. Honest quality work, what more could we want? Reasonable prices?
Ray where did the round rubber parts go? They were installed above the plugs….are you hiding them?
I notice you often use dielectric grease on spark plug connectors and coils, which is great but what puzzles me is when I don't see you or others use it on the battery posts. Maybe your experiences differ from mine but the battery posts stay cleaner longer if I clean and grease them.
No need for idle air control reset after battery disconnect? Transmission gear shift points reset?.
Newer cars may even need battery reset after replacement.
Things that your SnapOn can do
You must really like your job as all your videos require you to narrative and edit them after you have done the work; must have a very understanding spousal unit.
Did you plug in coil no 1? Looked like it was missed
Damn you, I have "Rubber band man" stuck in my head now.
Hopefully you don’t cause them more issues with those Dorman coils.
God i hate V6 engines…from every manufacturer
It's like youtube knows what happend to me. My car shut down while driving and got the exact same code.
you forgot those seals where the coils sit on the plugs😮😮
I have watched a bunch of auto repair shows and I would say that yours is best!!!!!$$$$
No sanding points for you.
I would check the basic functions first. Oil and plugs ect
Trolling. Poor guy midnights as a quality control specialist for pornhub. Lol 😆 love your videos bud.
I had a Lexus IS250 same year. Because they are direct injection they have a carbon build up issue which cause the spark plugs to be recommended change more often. The carbon build will cause the misfire trigger in those Lexus IS 250. Lexus knew this but did nothing until they updated the direct injection in newer models. Those cars require higher octane too to avoid the issue. Great job man!
Just asking why no anticease on plug threads
There’s something about working on Cars that just relaxes me.
Great job!! Only recommendation I have would be to check the spacing on the new spark plugs before installing them. Quality control isn't always the best for mass produced auto parts and I'd say 1 out of every 4 or 5 spark plugs have a bigger or smaller gap than they are supposed to.
