Imagine calling up the parts store
"Yeah I'm looking for an ICP sensor"
    "You see what now?"

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Carl Collingwood says:

Diagnoses the the ICP is at fault, yet STILL checks the turbo. Ray showing that he will go the distance, whatever it takes. Well done Ray!

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daddystryker says:

On this video I just noticed that the harness retainer was left on old sensor and will give customer problems in future. I didn’t see out put it back maybe someone commented on it but I did not read. By the way love you videos just had to comment on this one ☝️

It’s nice to see someone that knows what to do with a Hercules to find code’s. I’m In pressed with your knowledge, keep teaching us

I had a 2007 f350 6.0 dually loved it miss it semi hit me and totalled it. New trucks now suck. I am going to say codes sound like a bad injector and bad icp sensor. Also key thing on the 6.0 ficm issues are common and 2004 had notorious injector issues. Filters have to be changed on time on those trucks I learned it with mine the hard way.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Valentine says:

    hehe
    I see pee sensor

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andrew smith says:

My OCD of him not installing the seal and connector end back on the connector that was stuck in the old sensor was very sad.. I see these connectors everyday at work, sensor could fail for getting moisture in it or bending a pins…

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! Just Me MrB says:

Bad HPOP, injector O-rings, IPR, ICP……

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Terry Rettenberger says:

Love your videos, but why do you always skip the preheat cycle when starting cold diesel engines? Thanks for the videos and keep em coming.

It is amazing what I learn on this channel, great job!

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gordon King says:

Looks like an ICP for a 7.3

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Bryce says:

I wish I had one of those fancy scan tools, but even then, I’m not sure I would have known what to do with the data it showed you. You still need brains, skill, and experience to interpret the data like that.

My ‘01 7.3L lost power and fuel mileage. I saw oil coming from the electrical connector of the ICP. Easy swap, as it’s on the Driver’s side valve cover.

Old school, no scan tool. Guess I got lucky.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Buitl by Bear says:

    NICE TRUCK ..

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars michael haiden says:

That must be a early build my icp sensor is on the passenger valve cover

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars michael haiden says:

Your on the right path I had a icp sensor that failed intermently

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JRbiker1 says:

Well done on the solid bit of troubleshooting the problem. I have a 05 F350 SRW 6.0PS and wouldn't trade it. They are solid engines if maintenance is regularly done to them.

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Monkeh says:

That 04 would make an amazing profit on export.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! Drews Shop Life says:

The icp dsd pid is injector control pressure desired , you were not looking at actual pressure just what the pcm requested. To see actual icp it’s listed as icp pressure. Also you left the weather packing and pin retainer in the old icp, don’t worry though , those aftermarket icp sensors are junk and it will likely be returning.

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ronald Mills says:

I find it more odd that the dam thing wasn’t covered in oil. Can’t even remember the last time I touched a diesel truck for anything and didn’t walk away black.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stephen Allen says:

The old ICP sensor….. Keeps the Insane Clown Posse away 🤡🤡🤡

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars robert hatcher says:

    ohhhhh nooooo 6.0

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bill smith says:

NEVER EVER USE anything but ford sensors on those trucks, if you don't you will be sorry.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gary R says:

Did those codes disappear after the fix?

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gary Reinke says:

How does that sensor cause a oil leak?

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ted Musgrove says:

I've a question about the 2005, F250, 3/4 ton, Lariat. 6.0 Diesel. Can a person remove the fan housing and leave it off? Due to the fact, I'm trying to change the belt and the pulley's, but it's hard to get to all of this, while this fan cover is in place. It cost $250 for a new one. on Ebay. Ha! Thanks

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Hill says:

Bought a 2004 6.0 new in 2003, sold it in 2020 with >300k miles. Fantastic truck. Wire harness chafing and intermittent connector pins was biggest problem. A lot of rough and off road use ate up shocks, steering damper, and sway bar end links annually. Ford was terrible at engine diagnosis, independent diesel truck shop was fantastic.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars j horton says:

Ye olde magnet-on-a-stick to the rescue.
Look at you going old school with that flathead screwdriver on those hoseclamps.
