for the poor's among us like me that's a light bend and maybe could be adjusted out in older trucks up to like 1995-1999 but on new stuff with all the death wobble problems that develop i would 100% go for a front end rebuild

No idea why Jeep hasn't released a Road Princess version for the Basic B*ches using it to only go to shopping (also every West Point graduate's first vehicle) and a *Real Off Road model of the Wrangler. Everyone I know that takes it off road ends up spending another $100k upgrading everything anyway. 🙂
I have a 2015 wrangler and I think I have the same problem. We had a Jeep Event and I may have gotten a little aggressive on the trail. My steering wheel is cocked and it pulls. My track bar has a dent in it. One thing I love about Jeeps is how uncomplicated they are. I'm not a mechanic, but I was able to wrap my head around how every part of the suspension works. Also, it is possible to correct the camber with geometry correction brackets. They are a must on lifted Jeeps. They locate the control arms so the camber can be adjusted, they also adjust the pinion angle so the front drive shaft isn't binding. (Note: It's either camber or castor that the geo brackets help fix. I can't remember which)

I'm jealous of any vehicle with a solid front axle, but subpar parts accompanying it doesn't make sense. They should improve their build and not make customers pay all that money.

Just one question: what is there (mechanically) to prevent the two large jam nuts from shaking loose considering the beating and vibration that off-roading creates? Another great and very educational video….also, the narrative (that's what she said) was killer.

Uses tool that requires set up and tippy taps with hammer, could have jus tippy tapped the ball joint stud with hammer and cut out the extra work. Hmmmmmm

I started watching your vids because it was nice to watch a technician do techniciany things. But I've actually picked up a lot of info about the mechanic stuff and how cars are put together and how they get fixed because you're a good explainer. Click!
I read somewhere your not supposed to use an impact on ball joints… They have a torque rating and if they don't your just supposed to tighten the castle nut till point of pin able to slide thru… There car will settle like it does and the plastic joint cup won't be under stress and the not won't be over smashed.
I see you using your toys to take the tyerod ends off, in my younger days we would smack the side of it with a 3 pound sledge and it would pop off

I noticed you put the old nuts back on, they look what like what we call nyloc nuts in the UK, we always put new ones on as the nylon locking material does not work as well when reused.
There two situations.
In the case of anti-seize and loctite “a little dab will do ya”
In the case of grease and silicone caulking “the bigger the gob the better the job”

I missed the comment about all the components had been upgraded except the drag link and tie rod. Simple. They were functioning and the Teaflex parts you installed retail for about $1000.

why couldnt you leave nut on the tierod end for the popping? i usually leave the nut to avoid the drop and flying around.

Funny thing about steering components that we found out back in the 70's racing dirt street cars. The more you beef things up, it helps you find the next weakest component. We used to break tie rod ends on a regular basis, so we beefed them up by welding angle iron to the ends. Unfortunately, the next weakest link was the steering box. Steering boxes cost a lot more to replace than tie rod ends.
