The bump stop on the rear coil spring is shot, the parts on Hyundai's don't seem to last anywhere near as long.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike Hudick says:

New tires on the axle that does the most work… FRONT. Try inducing oversteer as you described it on a front-wheel drive car and report your success. The location of the drive wheels will determine your success at inducing oversteer. The chance of the rear breaking loose as you described it is NILL!

"DOO DA DOO DA DOO"!!. Love your work and videos bro! I'm an "experienced back yard mechanic"…I choose to do most automotive work/ repairs/ maintenance myself for pleasure and money saving reasons. I've learned allot thanks to videos on YouTube, Google and people like you. But I get "confused/ lost/ perplexed" on some simple things which sometimes makes me doubt myself… for example….
No anti-seize on the wheel hub bearing?
No lock tight on the wheel hub bearing bolts (4)?
No brake grease on the brake pad slide clips (the ones that were on strike and didn't want to clip onto the caliper)?
No dialectic grease on the abs speed sensor connection?

I'm NOT in any way or form bashing your work… not at all, 0%… I'm merely learning and trying to understand (yes at 52 years old, retired combat disabled veteran and a retired federal police officer, we can still learn).
I'm currently replacing (on my 2006 chevy suburban LTZ 6.0) both front wheel hub bearings, dust shields, speed sensors, sway bar links, sway bar bushings, rotors and brake pads… so yes this video is important to me. I'd also like to add that when I replaced my front wheel speed sensors (100 miles ago before my front right wheel bearing hub got destroyed by Michigan's lovely potholes) I had the same engine lights come on (ABS/ TRACTION CONTROL/ STABILITY TRAC)… after replacing both front speed sensors, the lights went off…doo DA doo DA doo doo… and momentarily came on then back off. Same as what happened to you. I believe this was just the sensor reestablishing connection and correcting itself with the new sensor.

Anywho, I apologize for the long post. I appreciate all your videos (even the "go viral one" haha and all you do. You sir, have taught me allot! GO GRAVITY!

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars lundtland says:

Could you take the caliper bracket off without removing the caliper?

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Backman says:

Measuring edge-to-edge gives the same distance as center-to-center, and is easier to eyeball. ´Course, you need to remember to use the same side on both holes.
If you're feeling fancy, you can always stick the tips of the vernier caliper inside the holes and measure edge to edge, then add/subtract hole diameter to get a more accurate result.

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jesus IsKing says:

Jesus is coming back. Are you ready??? Have you passed life’s one and most important test of accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior?? The bible says not everyone who gets to Heaven and knocks will be able to get into Heaven. But it is he that does the will of God. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Once we get into eternity there is no turning back. We are going to be in the paradise of God, eternal bliss, or eternal condemnation for trillions and trillions of years to come. Jesus said of my Kingdom there shall be no end. This life is just the beginning we are going to spend forever somewhere. The bible says this life is nothing more than a vapor that appears for a little time then vanishes away it is just a blimb in comparison with eternity. This is simply decision time. The bible says no man that warreth entangles himself in the affairs of this life. Jesus has very stringent requirements which must be sought out in the bible. When talking to someone who rose very high in Jewish religion Jesus told Nicodemus you must be born again or you will not come to Heaven. John 3:8 The bible says the wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going so is everyone born of the spirit. This is basically showing where God choses us we don't chose God we have to meet his conditions for salvation. The bible says even the devils believe and tremble. This shows where easy believism is not enough. The bible is a message of reconciliation. Which is why Paul called for people to examine themselves to be sure they are really in the faith. Our relationship with Jesus or lack of relationship will be the only thing in our life that has eternal consequences. Life is a race the bible says. It is nothing more than a time to snatch souls from the fire and worship God. Jesus said deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow me. It is about repentance self denial and faith in God. We must come all the way to Christ or we will not go to Heaven it is an extremely serious matter. The bible says in hell the fire will never be quenched and the worm dieth not. Jesus said who I love I rebuke and chasten and I scourge every son I receive. Have your been scourged by the creator of the universe? Have you been rebuked and chastened by God? These are all evidences of a relationship with God. The bible says if you are not chastened and rebuked you are a bastard child. If you have not experienced these things there is likely need for self examination. God saves people and teaches them, So they could go warn and save whoever would believe this message. The bible says by wisdom the world knew not God so it pleased him by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe….

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars sport3456 says:

I like your videos but i have a question. I've been told more than once when changing pads on an ABS equipped car that the bleeder should be opened when compressing the caliper to keep contaminates from backing up into the BS pump and I never see you do that. Just asking. Also I would like to see strange elec. issues, such as cycle wipers and blower shut off for one swipe of the wipers or even killing the engine.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars EricV says:

As I was watching you flapper wheel clean up the rear hub, then brake clean the hub… you missed a spot! But then you wiped it with the paper towel and everything was right with the world again. 😉

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike Tyler says:

I never had to use a caliper spreader before , probably because I push them back with a large screwdriver BEFORE removing the pads. Maybe this can be a time saver tip.
