  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Page says:

Oh, and I do wish that you would wear safety glasses more often especially when working underneath and looking up.
Those bolts can throw off little pieces of metal as they screw and unscrew so BE CAREFUL BUDDY!!!!!
IF it ever comes that you have to wear an eye patch, then it will be mandatory that you have one of your legs removed and a peg installed.
Then, you'll have to go round saying, "ARGH" all the time instead of "Click".
And, adopt a parrot to hold the camera on your shoulder.
    "Tweet, Gravity! Gravity! Tweet, whistle"!

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Page says:

There are times when I've seen you do a complete overhaul on lower and upper control arms replacing the entire unit part when all that is needed is new bushings and ball joints.
It has to be cheaper to just replace the damaged parts and especially with the newer polyurethane ones.
I know that there is a universal kit to remove the old bushings and to press in the new ones.
Just wondered why you do that as it seems it would save the customer money.
Or maybe it's the labor involved????
    Just wondering.

Hey Ray – Check the relay that feeds the electrical circuit for your intermittent problem. the schematic says that circuit is energized through a relay. They can be troublesome and stick leading to intermittent connections.

  60. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stuart Davies says:

Divot works, recess might also work.

However, dipstick instead of oil pickup. WTF.

  61. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars IkeRaiser266 says:

idk if ray will ever see this question or not but i am wondering how does he know when to stop when pulling in to a stall?….and how does he know where the best place to put the car lift arms on the vehicle?

Ugh makes me dread going to work tomorrow got one of these money pit H2’s waiting for me. It’s a frequent flyer from the past 2 years not sure exactly what is left on the thing that hasn’t been replaced, rebuilt, or repaired. Possibly the speedometer needle is still original.

To change the parking light bulb in my Infiniti G35 one must remove the Grill, Front Bumper Shield, unbolt the fender and remove the headlamp module to access the little bulb.

This I thought was a load of work for a simple task.

Ray said "Hold my Snap On" and proceeded to dismantle an H2 to fix an oil leak.

    Well done sir.

  73. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dave C says:

That is one ugly colour.🤮 Looks like a giant pumpkin on wheels. Does Cinderella own it? Better be finished by midnight! 🤣

  74. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Samuel Williams says:

Rainman not sure why I'm always answering the shop phone, I have no remote controll over the phone.

  75. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Alex_Pohorily says:

Those look so cool on the outside

  76. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars tom ashton says:

I cringe every time I see you use a power tool to remove nuts and bolts, I spray a little PB and always make sure the threads are clean and have a dab of lube (not much) when installing

  77. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Darron Watson says:

    Awesome!

  78. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dominick Serignese says:

GM's and weird electrical problems go hand and hand! Ask me how I know! My son had a 2013 Chevy Malibu. Decent car but it had aggravating annoying electrical Gremlins as well as crappy plastic gears that operate the HVAC doors.

  79. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Olena Erhardt says:

Great mechanic, job and film, but what surprised me that no torque specs. Probably at that level of experience you know torques by eye. I also couldn't expect the oil pan will be protected by so many shields and it is so hard to get to it. Thank you for the film.

  80. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Clif Davis says:

You made getting the CV axels back in look easy. I changed one of the output shaft seals on the front dif. on my 1500HD and caught hell getting the CV axel back in. Of course it’s probably easier when you aren’t laying on the ground.

  81. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dominick Serignese says:

I would have referenced marked the axles with a grease pencil or some paint just to be on the safe side to avoid any vibrations.

  82. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars tom ashton says:

hate to say it but when a crankshaft seal starts leaking, front or rear, your best bet is to replace the seals ,and blow by can be a problem, the crank cases on modern engines have vacuum, to reduce blow by

  83. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Who Knows says:

"i got her to come"… you wish Ray

  84. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Who Knows says:

another super ugly interior… holy shit

  85. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Byron Carpenter says:

Funny, I have always found, while taking something out of stamped steel, and what ever I am taking out.
    Before dropping said item
Take a pry bar and spread it open 1 to 2 mm
Saves a lot of time upon installing
    Think about it

  86. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars CAM NEILSEN says:

Good thing we understand rainisms ,dipstick , pickup ,both tubes lol

  87. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Thorpe says:

Why did GM change it to where part of the oil pan is under a cross member/engine support on the FWD's?? On some of the older ones I've seen the oil pan was accessible without having to remove a support bracket (if I remember right). The gasket on mine needs replaced on my 07 Monte LT, but about half of it is blocked by an engine support bracket.

  88. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Hackenberg says:

    Good video again, thanks.
Just one question, do you check to make sure there is negative crankcase pressure when engine is running? I heard that positive pressure can lead to oil leaks.

  89. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steve Laminack says:

I don't know why people stop the oil leaks. With the horrendous rust we see on those Florida cars the oil would be a good rust preventive.

  90. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tony Smith says:

where is this shop, love to give it business!

  91. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars PeaceMarauder says:

Pickup tube, not dipstick tube, ya dipstick! 😛 You forgot the 'ah ah ah' after 1 bolt started, 2 bolts started 😛

  92. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tyrel Walker says:

    New lift.

  93. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Job38 Four says:

Is that really a good idea to put that thick heavy Lucas oil treatment in modern engines…………

  94. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pekka Saukkonen says:

    _'
_It is wery catching those clikitch and that displeases me and so on. pure enjouyment :Thanks Ray . More this please

  95. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars B-MAN says:

    Proper Order or Prybar..

  96. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Hale says:

Ray, thanks for making retirement from medicine so much more enjoyable! Your Milwaukee M12 snubby impact is a 1/2” drive?

  97. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jonathan A says:

All the dirty jokes I think of when Ray says things like, lube running down my leg. LOL

  98. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mnoel79 says:

when you say dipstick tube i think of the dipstick not the pickup tube.
