Do you recommend new leaf springs on an older truck, like my 2000 s10 zr2, or would you suggest used or old ones? My passenger side leaf spring broke and I'm trying to figure out the best thing to do.

I swapped my springs out in 2017 to this video. ๐Ÿ™‚

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars GreyRabbitMedia says:

Nice. I'm replacing my leafs soon, and this video covered all the bases, and clearly demonstrated each step. Last time I swapped a leaf I was just a little kid helping my dad, so I wasn't sure if it was something I could do on my own. Looks like and easy enough job for an afternoon (if my bolts aren't seized).

Greetings, I am a follower of your page, I see that you have a lot of experience in the automotive area. I go to you. A question is about the vateria warning light on the dashboard of Toyota tacoma 2007, it would be so kind to guide the problem of this vehicle. AC

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jody fresnack says:

If you have a Tacoma, you are going to need a new frame for free from Toyota. They use many new parts when they do the frame swap including the rear leaf springs

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shane Harrison says:

If it ain't broke dont fix it besides the springs will wear in and it wont Crook the vehicle as long as the lengths arch and tensions are right

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shane Harrison says:

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rodney Bailey says:

Hey Eric, with the amount of rusted bolts you found in this repair, I don't understand why you didn't use antiseize on all the hanger bolts and U bolts? A bit puzzling to me.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Zack Zander says:

Don't need to torque them hey?

Hey Eric. Hang on the old leaf spring sections, those pieces of steel come in very handy for all kinds of things. You can make a custom puller whenever you need one! Not to mention all the other uses for them!

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ansuz says:

Hey how much would you charge to replace a rear wheel driver side leaf spring on an 06 tundra?

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars particlesinspace says:

Thanks for this video, take care.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars tino salinas says:

Just curious why you didn't use rust-off spray or put a little heat on the ubolts before you took a torch to it? And if its so rusted under there , why not take the nut off the shock instead of it possible coming apart by letting the leaf hang off of it and all that weight? Kinda of head scratcher there .

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Donnie Robertson says:

    Great job
